Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

If there was one thing that Elise hated about being at Camp Jupiter, it was that she had to wake up at an ungodly hour to do a bunch of crap she didn't particularly care about. Growing up, her mother had her wake up at the same time in an attempt to prepare her for life here, but the slightly later cabin inspection time back at Camp Half-Blood for the past four years had eroded that particular habit. Despite this, she didn't really feel like she had anything to do at the Roman Camp. Her status as a Cabin Leader didn't really mean much here--her siblings were spread out and disorganized, there was no cabin for her to maintain, and (as far as she was aware) there wasn't anything in particular that Greeks were meant to be doing as far as training went for now.
The majority of the demigod's time was spent reconnecting with her mother in New Rome, usually followed by a nap to catch up on all the sleep she was missing out on from early mornings at her mother's home--the barracks were always too crowded for the redhead to sleep well. The daughter of Hephaestus had just finished such a nap when she decided she'd have some time to head over to the forge and get to work on a project she thought of while she was unable to sleep the night before--she always thought it better to at least attempt to be productive if she wasn't going to get anything else done. A quick goodbye to her mom and the teen was on her way to her favorite spot in the camp.
Quill arrived at an empty forge, odd considering the number of children her father seemed to have on either side--a thought that made her shudder, she didn't need to think about that, not now or ever. Now that she was here, perfectly content to have the forge to herself, Elise went on autopilot as she made her way over to the workbench she'd claimed upon arrival. The girl raised a brow when she found a potato atop the already messy space, she didn't recall using potatoes in her last invention. She shrugged the spud off, and placed it to the side--it must have been left by some younger demigod who either wanted a snack or tried doing a mortal science experiment.
Finally ready to get to work, the demigod took a seat at the bench and started on her newest project--a gift for her mother. This wouldn't be anything particularly flashy or technically complicated compared to other things the mechanic had made, but it'd be functional and useful which is what mattered the most here. The redhead dug her soldering iron out of her toolset and pulled her welding goggles on, the distinct scent of burning solder filling the space as she carefully worked. 20 minutes into this process, the teen found herself distracted by the sound of creaking coming from above. She hadn't noticed it when she walked in, but the sound certainly wasn't natural considering the forge was made of stone.
Elise got up from the workbench and pulled her welding goggles up on top of her head as she looked for the source of the sound. It didn't take long for her to find exactly what it was--another demigod trapped in a net suspended from the ceiling. The cabin leader quirked a brow as she peered up, "I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're not supposed to be hanging from a net, unless this is how Camp Jupiter punishes its legionnaires now." she commented, crossing her arms as she looked up at the other demigod.

Considering she seemed to have interrupted what could only have been interpreted as a moment, Elise was surprised the other demigod actually passed the bottle over. The redhead glanced at the bottle, before taking a swig, it had Latin on the label meaning it certainly hadn't made the trip 2,000 miles across the country--she wasn't sure where in camp it had come from, but she wasn't going to question a free drink. Though the daughter of Hephaestus wouldn't call herself an alcoholic, she'd shared a few glasses of wine with her mother in New Rome since arriving at Camp Jupiter when they met for lunch. This wasn't nearly as high end as what her mother kept, from what she could tell, so it likely hadn't been swiped from anyone in the city.
Quill followed the other girl's lead and took a seat on the ground with her legs crossed before passing the bottle back, one drink was enough for now. The breeze that passed through the trees was unusual, considering Camp Jupiter's weather, much like Camp Half-Blood's, didn't change from a comfortable temperature often. The demigod was glad she had worn her leather jacket tonight, a welcome reprieve from the cold. If she was more comfortable with her powers she'd conjure a bit of fire to warm her hands, but uncontrolled fire in a wooded area led to wildfires, and Elise had learned enough about preventing those growing up as a California native, even if she was from the Bay area to know it was a bad idea.
The mechanic's thought process was interrupted by the other demigod mentioning that the barriers were down, not the smartest idea with roughly 400 demigods in one concentrated area--who knew what monsters were lurking on the other side of the Caldecott Tunnel, looking for demigods to attack. She was suddenly very glad she had her bracelets with her to defend herself if needed. The other girl's comment was met with a snort, "No, I've got no idea." she admitted, "If it was one of my siblings though, they owe me for half my crap burning." the redhead added, she hadn't been expecting the other demigod to know her parentage, but she supposed she now needed to try and remember which cabin she was from.
"You're...from one of the cabins that starts with a D, not Demeter..." Elise trailed off as she picked at some leaves on the ground, the wine told her that she was likely Bacchus but that's not his Greek name, and of course her mother had taught her of the Roman pantheon as a child. "Oh!" she exclaimed, "Dionysus, that's his name." she elaborated her little eureka moment. "Sorry, I still can't remember half the Greek names for the gods." she apologized, she should know their names, considering her Greek heritage, and it probably sounded weird that she didn't know them, but she had years of Roman teachings that she'd been trying to unlearn at Camp Half-Blood.
Elise had never been one for crowds, too many people around tended to make her feel like she was suffocating, and these welcome events had certainly felt suffocating. It'd be rude not to take part in some of the festivities the Romans had graciously, or more likely begrudgingly, organized for the Greek campers. The daughter of Hephaestus had made herself rather scarce compared to her compatriots, sitting far away from anyone else while she watched the weapon combat event, making an effort to find a quiet corner during the welcome feast. Anything she could do to avoid other people.
Although she would have rather gone back to the empty barracks after a long day of avoiding people, Quill supposed she was obligated to attend the Lantern Festival, even if she hadn't known many of the campers who hadn't made it across the country personally--she hadn't really known anyone from camp personally, really. A feeling of guilt settled in the pit of her stomach, everyone else was here because they had lost someone, and she hadn't taken the time to know those that were lost. The teen was sat far away from anyone else, watching the lanterns from a distance, it wasn't as though she could adequately share in the grief of her fellow campers. The flames reminded her of the ones she could make and she idly wondered if that was how they had lit these lanterns, another demigod who could conjure flames from nothing.
Seeing the abundance of lanterns floating in the air, Elise knew there were several campers lost when camp fell, and not being able to name one of them was upsetting. She tried to distract herself with the mechanics behind the lanterns instead, which got boring quickly seeing as they worked on the same principle as hot air balloons. The demigod felt awful for thinking it, but this event wasn't interesting enough to keep her focused on anything happening, she needed to do...anything else. The redhead pushed up from the spot on the ground she had been sitting on, brushing off any dirt from the back of her jeans as she wandered around the area, searching for something that wasn't tinged with the death of those they had lost that she couldn't remember.
As Quill looked around for an escape, a wooded area caught her eye, it reminded her of the woods back at Camp Half-Blood, where she'd frequently escape to when she couldn't work on a project instead. The woods were always good for getting away from other people, usually a bit too dangerous with the monster presence for most to find solace among the trees. With her firecrackers on her wrists, however, the daughter of Hephaestus always felt prepared for conflicts that may arise. As she had expected, the woods were mostly deserted, or so she thought until she almost quite literally stumbled into another person who had been sitting on the ground.
The demigod wasn't the best at faces, but she was sure she had seen this girl's enough to know she was Greek. Not wanting to interrupt the moment the other demigod was having with a bottle of something that must have tasted quite good, Elise settled for leaning on a tree instead. "So you gonna share, or keep all the good stuff to yourself?" she asked with a smirk, perhaps it hadn't been the right question to ask, but it'd be a lie if Quill said she didn't want any.

In the time that had passed since leaving Camp Half-Blood, Elise had forgotten just how much Erik liked to talk. He was certainly a chatterbox, especially compared to the Romans that they now lived amongst. It was probably a good thing that the son of Hermes was as loquacious as he was, able to drive the conversation while the mechanic preferred commentary where it was necessary and not much more.
"The armory is preferable to the barracks." the redhead admitted, "I suppose it's also nice to see you too." she added with a smile. Flynn was a bit of a constant part of life back at Camp Half-Blood, with his tendency to steal anything she and her cabinmates got their hands on, something he seemed to recall as well. The teen set to trying to figure out the issue with the cube using her technokinesis while the thief of said object continued talking. "Where did you even store some of that stuff?" Quill questioned, the giant head he had referred to was a to-scale replica of the Statue of Liberty's head, the cabin's challenge project for that year. How the son of Hermes had managed to abscond with the 17-foot tall monstrosity had everyone confused considering its size.
It wasn't long before Elise knew exactly what was wrong with this particular projection cube, but she certainly wasn't going to reveal all of her cards to the other demigod all at once. Flynn had stolen enough from her that he could endure a bit of waiting before earning the cube back. "I haven't actually made an effort to socialize with my Roman siblings yet." the daughter of Hephaestus responded as she feigned continued work on the cube. "Doubt they're quite as...lively as I am." she added with a smirk.
Quill shrugged, "There could be more in New Rome, if Graecus were trusted to be in the armory for anything other than repairing weapons and armor--so boring." Honestly, she was surprised no one had told the two of them off for not using the armory for its intended purpose just yet, but the Romans likely had better things to do at the moment than yell at a couple of Greeks for doing something harmless. Well...mostly harmless depending on what projection was in this particular cube.

[attr="class","main-content"]
Basic Information
Greek Cohort
Fourth Year Camper
Cabin Leader
Daughter of Hephaestus
Legacy of Trivia
Born August 18th, 2002
Appearance
Elise stands at an average height with a slim frame, toned from work in the shop, and a pale skin tone. She has light brown eyes and shoulder-length dyed red hair that she typically has a bright-colored streak in on the right side. On occasion, Elise will allow her hair to be natural rather than continuing to dye it and let it grow out, but it's rare she abandons that particular portion of her individuality.
Elise has standard ear piercings and frequently wears cuffs as well. She also wears other jewelry such as necklaces and rings, and always has her Chakram bracelets on unless fighting with them.
Elise's clothing style can best be described as a mixture of punk, grunge, and steampunk. She frequently wears her favorite leather jacket around camp over her camp-issued t-shirt and has a habit of attaching pins to her jackets.
Headcanons
Elise tries to always have something on hand to tinker with, usually something pocket-sized and easy to manipulate.
In an effort to refine her pyrokinesis, Elise will sometimes conjure a small flame and practice controlling it.
She's tried several times to get her Chakram bracelets past Terminus while crossing the Pomerian line, none have succeeded yet.
Elise has never dated anyone, a bit too stubborn to let her guard down, but after seeing so many lives lost at Camp Half-Blood she's considered making some more meaningful connections.
Elise spent four years at Camp Half-Blood before the move to Camp Jupiter. She likely made at least a few friends during this time, and might also make some at Camp Jupiter.
Elise tends to stick to herself but she's likely managed to cross some people, inadvertently. She tends to act impulsively and can be incredibly stubborn and defensive.

Elise supposed that she had a better time adjusting to this new home than most of her Greek compatriots after their relocation to Camp Jupiter, after all she initially thought she'd be living here rather than across the country on the East Coast. Her mother's training had prepared her for this camp, and the daughter of Hephaestus found herself able to adapt to the camp's methods rather quickly. What the Greek demigod wasn't fond of, however, was sharing a cohort with every other Greek camper. Sharing with her siblings at Camp Half-Blood hadn't been too difficult, seeing as they tended to have similar interests, but with everyone in the same living space the discord and clash of personalities had been a bit too much, and she found herself missing the soundsystem of the Hephaestus Cabin, she could use the distraction.
As the demigod returned to the barracks after having lunch with her mother in New Rome, a note on her bunk seemed it would provide just the distraction she needed. There was only one person who had routinely stolen her inventions, a certain son of Hermes that had done so for years. Erik had stolen so much from her it was hard to say what he needed fixed, or if she even wanted to fix it. Regardless, Quill was intrigued as to what exactly the other demigod had broken and she couldn't just ignore the opportunity to get her hands on one of her own creations again, who knew how long it had been since she last saw it? With that thought in mind, the redhead gathered her toolset and set off for the Roman Camp's armory to find out just what was causing Flynn so much trouble.
The teen raised a brow as she entered the armory, the pilfered item currently being tossed rather carelessly by the other demigod. "You know I wouldn't be surprised if that's how you broke it, Flynn." Elise commented, announcing her presence as she made her way over to the son of Hermes. She recognized the device as one of her mini projectors, though what that particular one projected, she couldn't be sure. There were star maps, blueprints of projects, Capture the Flag plans, there could be anything on it, really. The daughter of Hephaestus set her toolset down on one of the workbenches and gestured towards Erik "Bring it over here and I'll see what's wrong with it." she offered with a lopsided smile as she took a seat at the bench, this would certainly be interesting.
Natural proficiency with all types of machines and technology
Can adapt to situations very quickly
Can figure out solutions to problems quickly and efficiently
Weaknesses
Stubborn
Perfectionist, will not stop working on a project unless it’s exactly how she wants it. This often results in missed deadlines.
Impulsive, she often reacts before thinking about the situation.
Fears
Acrophobia-fear of heights.
Lilapsophobia-fear of tornadoes or hurricanes.
Demophobia-fear of crowds.
Overall[break][break]
Friends[break][break]
Elise isn’t always the best at making friends considering how stubborn she can be, but those she does make are friends for life. She’s always up for helping her friends out, especially if it involves weapons or machinery. Her first few months at camp half-blood she was a bit reserved, not really wanting to interact with others (most 15 year old kids don’t in new situations), but, as she got used to her surroundings she opened up to those around her. Her friends can always count on her to take the time to help out...assuming she isn’t working on a project that she deems more important or pressing.[break][break]
Mother[break][break]
Elise hasn’t always seen eye to eye with her mother, a legacy of Trivia, but she is very close to her despite their conflicting nature. Elise being Greek and her mother being very Roman doesn’t help much either. Elise has always been much more in tune with mechanical things, while her mother chooses to be very spiritual, using her attributes as a legacy of Trivia to make a living as a fortune teller--a profession Elise thought of as being well...trivial. Despite these differences, Elise and her mother get along very well, most of the time, even if Elise gets a little snarky or stubborn at times. She does love her mother a great deal, and would be devastated if something happened to her.[break][break]
Fellow Campers[break][break]
To other campers, Elise is very headstrong and determined, and to others comes across as very stubborn at times, due to the fact that she never lets up until she gets her way. She is also a curious, borderline intrusive individual, but her quirky and impulsive nature leads her to have high initiative. Her impulsiveness can sometimes get her in trouble, but it generally doesn’t lead to too many negative consequences. Despite the negative connotations of her stubborn demeanor, it has helped her cabin in some situations where they would have otherwise failed. With members of authority, however, Elise is very respectful and professional, never snarky or sarcastic unless it’s a relaxed situation. Her mother taught her well enough that she wouldn’t get anywhere at Camp Jupiter if she didn’t respect those in charge.[break][break]
Good Days[break][break]
On good days, Elise has all of her best ideas, and spends the majority of her time perfecting them, assuming she isn’t needed elsewhere in camp. She’s able to do even the most difficult tasks with ease when she’s in a good enough mood to direct all of her focus on them. If in a good mood and she doesn’t have anything that needs her direct attention, she’ll usually take a break from her own projects to make little gifts for friends that she thinks they’ll appreciate.[break][break]
Bad Days[break][break]
On bad days, Elise is far less creative and isn’t as outgoing as she usually is. She’ll dive deep into her projects and tune out everything else unless someone of authority needs her for something. If she has access to it, she’ll likely have very loud music playing in her earbuds, drowning out her surroundings.[break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
MOTHER: Cassandra Quill - Legacy of Trivia[break] FATHER: Hephaestus[break] Hometown: San Francisco, California[break][break]
Cassandra Quill had left the Legion after her ten years of service, a Centurion in the Third Cohort before her retirement. She had never gotten to live in the mortal world, having been born in New Rome, only leaving briefly for her training with Lupa, but she was eager to see what the mortal world had to offer. Cass had been sad to leave the place she had called home for her entire life, but excited to start a new journey. Without any other skills outside what she had learned in Camp, Cassandra rented out the space above a mechanic’s garage to live in and operate a fortune telling business out of. Cass found herself in a very short lived relationship with one of the mechanics who operated in the shop below her. As a legacy, Cassandra knew this man wasn’t mortal and assumed him to be Vulcan. Despite knowing the relationship wouldn’t last, she continued the relationship, the God leaving her with a pregnancy that resulted in Elise.[break][break]
Elise didn’t really have a typical childhood, with her mother being a Legacy of Trivia she knew about her less than normal heritage from a young age. As a child, Elise always found it amusing when her mother referred to neighbors and customers as ‘mortals’, though she wasn’t allowed to use the term herself. Her mother taught her from an early age about all of the Roman deities and what they represented, knowing that she’d have to go onto the Legion at some point just as she had.[break][break]
Growing up, as soon as Elise got her hands on new technology she quickly figured out how to take it apart--and put it back together. It wasn’t long before she was building her own gadgets, and realizing just what she could do with everything at her disposal. She spent much of her time in the garage below their home, learning all she could from the mechanics that worked there whenever she had the opportunity to do so. Cassandra saw these abilities as an opportunity to bolster her fortune telling skills. She knew from friends at camp what children of Vulcan could do, and encouraged Elise to develop her proficiency in technokinesis, especially while she was doing tarot readings in an effort to enhance her services beyond what she could do with her magic, such as programming lights and electronics to respond and make the readings feel more authentic for the mortals.[break][break]
Cassandra enrolled Elise in various self defense and martial arts classes at a young age, knowing she’d have to go through the Wolf House at some point and wanting to prepare her at least a bit for the training that Lupa would inevitably put her through. Elise was already adept at the gifts she had from being a child of Hephaestus, but Cass was determined to make sure that Elise would be prepared when she eventually had to leave. Although small in stature, Elise Quill was perfectly capable of defending herself and going on the offensive if needed.[break][break]
At age 15, Elise and Cassandra were attacked by a lesser hellhound (which her mother had explained to her later). Unable to do much at the time, Elise watched as her mother defeated the monster, and after getting home the two started to pack. Cassandra would be returning to New Rome, and Elise would start her training at the Wolf House. Knowing she couldn’t just drop Elise off directly at the Wolf House, Cass dropped her off in the Historical park nearby instead with essential belongings a recommendation letter from a former Centurion, and a hug goodbye before departing for New Rome with a promise that she’d see Elise when she made it to Camp. Unfortunately for Elise, rejection from Lupa came with the revelation that she hadn’t been a child of Vulcan, but of his Greek counterpart, Hephaestus.[break][break]
With nowhere else to go and her mother long gone, Elise did her best to find her way out of the area and back into civilization. Lucky for her, a Satyr from Camp Half-Blood had been tracking her based on the hellhound attack and they started the journey across the country on foot. The pair encountered various monsters along the way, but Elise quickly learned how to craft makeshift weapons using limited resources, and she and her satyr companion defeated them easily. During one encounter, her weapon gave out, finally breaking. On instinct, Elise threw up her hands and, to her surprise, fire shot out, singing the monster. The journey took nearly two months, sped along briefly by Elise’s convenient hotwiring of a car they had found abandoned somewhere in Nevada. After quite a few close calls and maybe more than one run in with mortal police, the two made it safely to Camp Half-Blood and Elise was claimed by Hephaestus shortly after arriving.[break][break]
Elise has now been at Camp Half-Blood for four years and in that time she’s forged her signature weapon, a pair of celestial bronze collapsing chakrams that she refers to as her firecrackers. She tends to keep her pyrokinesis abilities hidden, but will often light the Chakrams on fire when attacking if she’s able to do so safely without friendly fire. Now with Camp Half-Blood having fallen, she was more prepared than anyone to make the journey back home.[break][break]
Technokinesis:As a daughter of Hephaestus, Elise has a deep understanding of technology and machines, and is able to easily control and manipulate them. While Elise has no problem with mortal machines and technology due to her experience with them, it's much more difficult and takes much more time for her to work with magical machines as well as devices crafted by the gods. If a magical device is particularly complex it's possible she won't be able to manipulate it unless she's had gratuitous amounts of time to work with the device.
Pyrokinesis:Elise has a very unrefined form of pyrokinesis that she hasn’t spent time developing, using it only to light her weapons in battle or if she’s left weaponless. Because of her lack of training with her pyrokinesis, Elise is able to use it only sparingly in small bursts, not able to use it for prolonged periods of time.
SKILLS:
Mechanic:Elise is adept at fixing cars and other machines from her experience at home as well as her godly parentage.
Smith/Crafter:Elise loves to create, whether its weapons or just gifts for friends she’s always making something or thinking about making it.
WEAPONS:
Collapsible Chakrams:Elise forged herself a set of collapsing celestial bronze Chakrams that, when collapsed, function as bracelets. They expand with a quick jerking motion and collapse with the press of a button. The weapons are fireproofed, considering how often Elise tends to light them on fire.
