Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

Her lips quirked up on one side in a teasing little smile. There was really no way she could think of some way to punish him, not really, though the idea of it might be a little on the appealing side for him. She had to tease either way, it was fun and he really seemed to respond well to it. It was nice being around someone like Castor, because he held his own against the normally angsty daughter of Hades. There were very few people that could stand to deal with her for too long, and yet the Roman man was very much so able to do so. In fact, he seemed to enjoy it. There was clearly something wrong with him if he was able to put up with her. Scar giggled a little, shaking her head, " So now I have to actually think of something." she grinned, unable to think of a single punishment, though she had time if he was going to do something to actually make her. Not that that was even remotely in her mind.
Their kisses they shared were always causing little sparks to fly for her, something she had never expected to have, but from the very first one, she was smitten by the dark haired boy, and she could not possibly think of that going away any time soon. As he spoke of the fights she frowned a little. Scar never would have wanted him to feel like she coulnd't hold her own, though clearly he knew she could. She did understand however that the idea of her fighting people would make him a little uncomfortable. They both cared for each other, more than ever expected, and she didn't get upset that he did not watch. " I suppose I can understand that. I don't think you are sexist, I think that you care about me and the idea of not being able to intervene would be difficult for you." she ran her hand over his cheek, thumb lovingly caressing his skin. " I think its sweet, and I'm glad that we are on the same page there. I probably would have had a difficult time keeping from wanting to stop it if it was you as well." she meant every word of it, the idea of seeing him fight for glory was one thing, for his life would have been something else. THe fact that she ended up with the laurels in the long run had been surprising to her, and probably others as well.
Her cheeks flushed, as scarlet as her name as he spoke of her in his arms. " Then I think thats what we are going for, because I'm rather partial to being in them myself." she kissed his cheek again. " He's tough, and I think he will be just fine with you. Especially now that you have made friends." she ran her fingers gently through the mane of her beautiful pegasus " Falcor is a good boy, aren't you?" he snuffled, making Scarlett burst out laughing and looked up at Castor. " Hope you are ok with heights." she closed her eyes as he leaned his forehead against hers after kissing her, her heart was always racing when he was near, and that was something she could definitely get used to. The fact that they were a greek and a roman were very much in her mind, supposed to be 'enemies' of sorts, but it didn't seem to matter to either of them.
The truth was, Scarlett was on her way out of camp anyway, even though it was supposed to be safer for her. Now, she didnt' know what she was going to do. Finding her way to a place like Camp Jupiter that had its whole little city just for their demigods that had grown up and gotten out of the legion? She had to wonder if she would ever be allowed to live within those borders when she could. Castor was a factor in her mind every day now that she thought of her future, even though things were new between them, she had a feeling that the fates had pushed them towards one another. That they were supposed to meet. " Then in your arms I will be." she sighed happily. " Lets get this boy outside shall we?" she grabbed the bridle she used for Falcor and slipped it over his head, grabbing the reins so she could lead him out of the stall after she opened the door for him. He kind of pranced on the spot for a moment and she grinned up at Castor before taking his hand in her free one and lead him out to the paddock with her and Falcor. " I'll hop up first, then you slide up behind me. Just keep your legs in front of the wing joint."
Using the fence she climbed up it and slid onto Falcor's back, then held her hand out to Castor to help him up. Falcor stood as still as a statue as he waited and once Castor was behind her Scar turned her head to look back at him. " Hold on tight.' she whispered and nudged Falcor forward and he took off at a run before flapping his huge wings and launching them all up into the air. The wind blew in her face and she could see the grounds disappearing below them, buildings looking much smaller as he flew around, his head tossing a few times as he really stretched out his wings. " What do you think?" she turned her eyes back to see Castor's face. Curious as to how he was feeling about the whole being that far up in the air thing.
Castor always made her heart skip a beat when she was near him. How it was a Greek daughter of Hades would fall for a Roman son of Mercury, was beyond her. Though she had always been partial to the children of Hermes, falling for one of his Roman counterpart children was not that surprising after all. Though the whole Roman/Greek thing was seen as strange. She was happy though, truly happy, and that was all that mattered in the long run. At least in her eyes. " It's alright, I know that you are very busy, being all Centurion leader and all that." she teased him gently as she stopped in front of him, her blue eyes looking up into his handsome face, well aware of the nasty scar on her own cheek. " I will have to think of something good I suppose, may take me a bit, but I'm sure I can come up with something worthy of it." The smile wouldn't leave her face, and she knew there was no way she could actually find something to punish the man with. He didn't deserve it. He was merely doing his job, though coming up with something fun in the grand scheme of things was rather intriguing.
Their lips pressed against one another and she didn't want the moment to end, the best distraction was a kiss from her boyfriend. Boyfriend. That sounded strange, but also perfect. When the kiss ended she wanted to pout, but his thumb ran over her cheek and she winced slightly even thought he didn't actually touch the cut, it was still sore around it. " I don't know about all that. Rhiannon did a number on my face. I'm feeling ok. Sore, and that wound on my face is not exactly feeling too great, but I'll be fine in time. You didn't see any of my fights, did you?" she was certain she hadn't seen him there, though it was possible she had missed him. She couldn't imagine who he might have felt watching her in combat like that.
Scar thought it over as they walked over to the animals, " Would you feel better if we rode double?" she could do that if it would make him more comfortable. Riding together rather than on separate horses. She knew Falcor was strong enough to carry them both, if he wanted to. She wasn't so sure with the unicorns, she had not been around them enough yet to figure that out. " If it would make you more comfortable we can do that." she looked up at Castor, kind of excited at the idea of them riding together.
A blush spread across her cheeks as he mentioned her beauty and she dug in her pocket pulling out another mint and handing it over to Castor so that he could feed it to Falcor to appease the great beast. " Well, if we decide on going double then we can take out Falcor. He could use a good stretch for his wings." she ran her fingers over his forelock. " He can handle our weight. I am not so sure how your unicorns would do, so we could take them out single. It's up to you. Whatever you are comfortable with." she stood on tip toe to kiss his cheek, squeezing his hand gently in hers.
The lantern release had been difficult to start with, but the moment she had with Castor had changed that completely. They had shared a kiss that was beyond perfection and made her heart race. Something that she never expected to have again, and yet there it was. She had barely expected to make it to Camp Jupiter after what had happened at Camp Half Blood. Though she was so very happy to have made it here, otherwise she might never have met Castor. The fact that she was already feeling head over heels for him was scary, but in the best way possible. After he had dropped her at the Greek barracks, Scarlett had asked him if he would maybe like to meet her for a ride the next day, and though she had been a little surprised that he had agreed. He had not seemed to be the horseback riding type. Maybe she was just lucky and he was doing this for her.
It was silly to think that might be the case, maybe he actually enjoyed riding? She smirked a little at the mere idea of it and glanced in the mirror as she pulled a wide tooth comb through her long blonde waves. Her face was looking much better, the bruises all but gone at this point. She still was angry that Rhi had pulled the cheap shots, but what could she do? It was too late to do anything about it. Touching the cut on her cheek gently she winced. It was still pretty sore and angry looking, but she could only pray that it would heal with out scarring too badly. Putting on a little bit of mascara and her favorite cherry lip gloss she frowned at the cut again before grabbing her jacket so she could meet Castor.
She thought she was running a little behind but when she got to the stables he wasn't there yet either. Her pegasi whickered at her and she grinned at him, going over to stroke his face. She wasn't sure what he had wanted to ride today, if they were going unicorn, pegasus or regular horses. There were so many equines to choose from in the stables, but she was partial to her own. A lot of them were afraid of her because of her father, but there were a couple of the unicorns that didn't mind her, and of course her black pegasus. The unicorn stabled next to him stuck her head out of her stall and nibbled on Scar's sleeve making her giggle. She dug in her pocket and pulled out two peppermints, holding one out to each of them. " You guys are so spoiled you know." she grinned as they tickled her palms as they took the mints from her.
Hearing someone else enter the stables she turned to see Castor, the smile grew on her face as she turned away from the equines to walk towards him. "I was wondering if you were going to make it." she didn't think he would stand her up. They had just made things between them official after all, and that would not be the best start to a relationship. She moved in closer then placed a gentle kiss on his lips in greeting. " So what are we thinking, horses, unicorns, or pegasi?" she was open to any of them, just depended on what he felt most comfortable with. " Do you have one that is partial to you?" she took his hand and lead him over to Falcor, her pegasus. " This is Falcor, and yes, I named him from the Never Ending Story." the black pegasus eyed the boy before him before snuffling at his pockets, " And he is addicted to mints."
It had come to them fighting more like their lives depended on it. It no longer felt like a regular sparring match, it felt like it was life or death. They ended up in the sand, and her head slammed against Rhi. It was as if they were two she wolves, fighting for dominance. Though she had not expected the cheap shot of Rhi spitting blood into her eyes. Scarlett let out a yelp of pain and rubbed at her bright blue eyes. All she could see was red, and it burned like fire. Backing away as much as she could, trying to regain her focus.
Rhi hit her face again, Scarlett unable to see well enough to counter, so it was a double shot, the fist then the knife cutting into her cheek, blood flowing freely from the wound. She cried out in pain and fell to her knees, she couldnt' see well and now her face was battered, she never would normally back down, but it seemed that was going to be her best bet at this moment. She held her hand up, hissing out the words that she did not begin to want to utter, but had to.
The feeling of his fingers running over the back of her neck made Scarlett's heart beat even faster in her chest. The kiss wasn't long but it was enough to make sparks fly, fireworks go off, all those cliche things. She loved that feeling, loved knowing that a kiss could have that effect. Her heart was so full, and she wasn't sure what to make of it. Castor had dug his way into her heart and she did not see that changing any time soon. She was so very attached already, and she had not a single complaint about it. " Alright then I won't." she smiled and ran her fingers through the hair at the back of his head when he pulled her in closer to him, his forehead pressed against hers.
" Yes, I think that is exactly what that means. Lets be honest, I was yours the moment we met." her cheeks flamed and she tucked her white blonde hair back so she could look up into those blue eyes of his. Despite the face that this was supposed to be a somber occasion, she could not help the feeling of pure joy that was running through her. The smile on his face was contagious.
Just as quickly though, the atmosphere changed and she had him looking at her wound. " I think I'll be ok, it looked so much worse before William helped me." she nodded at his question and let her shirt fall back over the wound, " Yeah he is. He's good. Don't think that he's not. I mean, we Greeks do have a few things we are pretty good at, and William's is healing. Just like mine is..." she moved in closer to him and kissed his lips again quickly, " Good at distracting you from the current subject."
Scar opened her mouth and started to answer then shook her head, " That would be a lie if I said he didn't." Isaak had been quite an interesting creature to meet that was for certain. She wasn't even sure that she had ever met anyone remotely like him. Which said a Hades of a lot in the world of demigods. The word forever had her blushing even more brightly than before, but it sounded amazing coming from his lips. " Forever sounds like a good start."
Nodding a little she shrugged, " Death is a part of our lives right?" she tilted her head, looking up at him, " I am thankful too. I don't know if it was one of our parents that did it, or Aphrodite...Venus? Whatever, herself, but I can't be happier." she leaned into him, " Do you think we can maybe go for a walk? This is all....kind of hard. I just, need to get away from it if we can? I mean, you are the oh so important centurion, so...you can get away with that right?"
The feeling of the blood on her face just felt sticky and uncomfortable and she hated it. She wanted nothing more than for Rhi to feel exactly how she felt. The stickiness, the pain, the burning of the cut on her skin. The minute the knife plunged into Rhi's skin she smirked. It was about damm time she landed a hit. It made her so angry to miss, as it was not what she did. She rarely missed, and it had driven her mad that the first one had glanced off of her as if it had bounced off a dang trampoline.
Though she had not counted on Rhi coming at her like a mad dog. She gasped in pain as jab and slash after slash cut into her skin, she felt gashes on her ribs, across her stomach, everywhere. Scar held up her arms to protect her face as best she could, feeling the knife dig into her skin. She hissed, gritting her teeth and quickly reached behind her, pulling the hidden dagger from her braid and using it to try to stop the flurry of slashes coming at her. She ended up backed into the corner and in order to try to stop the blades slashing at her she charged as hard as she could at Rhi, trying to tackle her to the ground.
Anything to get her off of her. She felt a little light headed, maybe from how much blood she was losing or from the amount of energy the had expended through out this whole match. Her blonde hair was stained red in places from the blood flowing from her face, her arms and body stung, she was exhausted.
Scar frowned, " I realize that, but I think we do. I think we need the pick me up, and if one of us was to win one of those gods forsaken laurels, maybe it would make a difference, even for a few moments time." she spoke softly to William, willing him to understand why she felt this way. With all that the Greeks had been through, one little win could make all the difference in the world to them. Why he didn't understand that, she would never know. She tilted her head at Isaak as he asked about the ring finger missing keeping him from having to get married, " I don't think that's how it works, I mean people without full hands even end up married. I don't think loss of finger will keep you from it. If you don't wanna get married no one is forcing you to." she was actually of the other school of thinking on that. She had hopes for that some day, though being a demigod, a child of the big three for that matter, she always had assumed it would neve be in the cards for her. She was a danger to herself and others just by her own blood.
" Did...did you just call me a GOAT?" she glared at Isaak, thinking if she was the daughter of Hecate he would be the one that was a goat in no time flat. Or an earth worm. Maybe even an amoeba on a flea on a rat. Yeah, that was a good one. Looking up at William came towards her she nodded, " I trust you." she let him shine the light into her eyes, trying not to wince at how bright it was. " Ouch.." she mumbled before he frowned and started asking her questions.
" Didn't lose consciousness but I do have a very bad headache, I was in the hand to hand and hand to hand with weapons competitions. I know, I know, stupid. Though I took a couple hits to the head so...crap, do you think I have a concussion then?" she hated the mere idea of it. She had had one a few times over her lifetime, and she did not relish the idea of another. " Unicorn maybe, the pegasi more tend to whack you with their wings instead of the hooves."
The blush grew on her face as he reaffirmed his compliment. Her heart was racing as she looked up at his handsome face. Gods, how did she get so lucky? Getting the attention of a guy like Castor was the last thing she had expected when they arrived in Camp Jupiter, but there they were. She was far from complaining. Her blue eyes found his, gauging his reaction before she did something she had been wanting to do from the moment she saw him walking towards her. Swallowing down the knot of nervousness that had formed in her throat, she stood up on tip toe, wrapping her hand gently around the back of his neck. Waiting to see his reaction, to make sure that he was ok with it, she pressed her lips softly against his, careful of her injuries but still trying to relish the moment. His lips were soft against hers, and she felt like fireworks were going off as opposed to the lanterns in the sky.
After a few moments she broke it, albeit reluctantly. Her cheeks were red beneath the wounds, but she looked up into his eyes again. " Sorry, I just...I couldn't keep myself. I kept trying to fight it, but I couldn't anymore." she admitted. It had been an incredible kiss, she was not about to forget. He had held her, his cheek against her head and it had felt like such an intimate gesture that she had not wanted it to end, but she had to do it, had to see if he was in the same mind set as she was. Scar was realizing more and more that she was head over heels for him, and that was something she had not expected so soon, but at the same time, she was not going to dwell on it. She was going to embrace it, and jump in with both feet.
Of course though, they had to get to her injuries and she sighed, he could see her face but she glanced around quickly before she was going to show the worst of them. " Well.." she pulled up on the hem of her shirt and showed him the healing wounds on her stomach and rib cage, stopping just below her bra line. " I'm alright I promise. William treated me, as well as one of your Roman's um...Isaak?" she dropped the shirt so that people didn't get the wrong idea.
" Hmm, are you sure its the Roman thing and not that you...might like me kind of a little bit?" she teased him slightly, trying to keep from letting the crazy of the day fall down over them like a blanket of doom. Maybe she was trying to see if he was feeling the same way she was though? She had hopes that they might be on the same page. He brought up the lanterns though and she had to debate if now was that time. " I said my goodbyes. It was hard, but, I think that it has been time. Moving on from all of this is hard, but, it's important." she ran her fingers over his shirt as she debated her next move. " I was with someone before all of this, he died during the fall of camp, but, he was the type that would want me to be happy, to move on...and I think he would have really liked you."
Was she sore? That was an understatement. Scarlett stood in front of the mirror in the bath house after she had left the infirmary (which was an adventure in and of itself) to try to clean up a little bit, but she still looked like she had been through the underworld and back a few times. She sighed, and ran her brush carefully through her hair, only wincing about a thousand times. She tried to cover up some of the bruises that were still healing on her face but that had not really been as easy as one might have thought. Finally giving up she pressed a little lip balm onto her lips before heading to the lantern festival. She missed the feast, having been in the infirmary, so her stomach growled a little bit, but there was nothing she could do about it right now, she had to at least get the lanterns up into the night sky, it was a way for them all to move on.
She wrote Ben's name down on the lantern, her final goodbye, her fingers running over the name for a moment before she whispered the goodbye to him and let the lantern float off into the air. A small smile crossed her lips as she watched it float up with the others and that was when she saw him. Castor. The smile spread a little more over her lips as he headed towards her and she felt heat pass over her cheeks. She had found herself thinking of him more and more lately, and she just couldn't help herself. It was as if the fates themselves were weaving their threads together. That she was meant to cross into his path, though what had happened at camp was a heck of a way to be the start of it, but she was so glad that she had made it here anyway.
" I know I don't look that way right now, trust me I've seen my reflection." she blushed brightly as he commented on how she looked like she had battled half of Rome. " Nice way of putting it." she sighed a little and moved into him wrapping her arms around his waist, laying her head against his chest. She was careful of the knife wounds that William had recently healed on her side and stomach, not that she wanted Castor to know that those existed either. She should have gone back to the barracks and grabbed a jacket, not thinking about the weather barrier being down. She was much warmer in his arms. " I'm alright. I was in the infirmary through the feast and everything. The healers took care of me. Met some interesting people in there for sure." she was thinking of Isaak and how he had tried to touch her and just the thought had her holding back laughter. " Sorry if I worried you..." she looked up at him, the lantern light reflecting in both her eyes and his own. Gods it was a beautiful night. Despite the occasion.
Scar gritted her teeth when the knife glanced off the girls pants. There was one thing that Scarlett was very good at and that was throwing her knives. The fact that it bounced off of her like that only meant one thing. She was using god given powers that no one could work around. It pissed her off to no end and Scar's eyes flashed with anger. OF course that would happen, why wouldn't it? It was bull crap, and there was nothing she could do about it. She gripped the other knife tightly in her hand, trying to control the anger that was flowing through her.
Rhi came at her, and she mananged to duck the blow to her face but not the follow through with the dagger as it sliced into her cheek. A yelp of pain escaped her lips and she quickly placed her hand over the cut, her eyes full of rage. Her teeth were on edge and she glared at the other blonde. She whirled around quickly and threw her second knife, hoping that one would connect as she aimed for Rhi's arm.
SHe had one left, one that no one knew about but her, but for now she was going to make it look like this was about to become a hand to hand contest. Her own blonde hair had a streak of blood in it from her cheek and she glared down the other girl. " Never said I was smart now did I?"
Scarlett nodded slowly, she had indeed taken a Hades of a pounding, of course they would put her up against a Mars child. It wasn't even fair, they had the dang blessing from their father, making it virtually impossible for them to be beaten. It kind of took the fun out of the whole thing. It was irritating and the daughter of Hades had quickly gotten angry. She had to reel in her temper as much as possible, as she was pretty dangerous when it got the best of her. She gently pulled up the hem of her shirt and saw the angry looking cuts from the knives on her skin. " Could be worse I suppose." she let her head fall back against the pillow with a small groan.
The healer came over and was giving them both crap, but mainly the guy beside her. She raised her eyebrows. " My camp needed the boost, so I tried for them. Maybe if these games were a little more fair, it would have been different." she frowned and looked over at the hand that her bed neighbor was holding up, " Mmm you need to do the next finger over, you are flipping him the ring finger at the moment. So unless you want to like, get married, you are using the wrong one." she shrugged and instantly regretted it.
Her eyes grew wide as he tried to reach for her, " Um thanks but...what are you doing? MIght want to keep your hands to yourself. I don't do well with people touching me without my consent.." that was a good way to get a knife to the groin, she was pretty sure that was not what he was going for.
Scar kept her eyes on Rhiannon as they moved around one another. It was not unlike two jungle cats stalking their prey. She felt very much like a panther as she circled the other blonde, trying to fathom what she should try next. Scarlett wasn't even sure it was worth this. Any of it. Though she wouldn't deny liking the teasing of her oppponent. It reminded her of her time at Camp Half Blood, anytime they did any training, or tried to climb the lava wall, anything that meant they had to challenge themselves in ways that they might never have otherwise.
A smirk crossed her lips as Rhi gave her just as much sass as she had given. It was refreshing, someone being able to hold their own with her. She had found that in a couple people now that she had come to the Roman camp. Castor of course was really able to hold his own with her, and now Rhi, giving just as much as she doled out. It was interesting, to say the least. Of course, going up against a child of the god of war in combat was never a fair fight, even from a daughter of the lord of the dead.
Rhi anticipated her moves and there was little she could do about it than just let it happen. A growl escaped her lips as she looked up at the blonde, circling around as they both seemed to be weighing their next choices. The one thing she had always felt she was extremely good at was throwing her knives it was what she did best, her greatest asset, and she hoped, something she would be able to pull off with the grace, precision and speed that she normally did. Withouth hesitation she flicked her wrist quickly and threw one of the knives towards Rhiannon's leg, aiming for her thigh.
Gods. Why had she decided entering all these contests was such a good idea? She was in a world of hurt right now, and all she wanted to do was sleep it off. She had some cuts on her face, her torso and her arms. Bruises over much of her body and abrasions too. What the Hades had she been thinking? This was not her best laid plan by any means. She had wanted to bring a little glory to Greece, perhaps even impress Castor with her fighting skills, but in the end she was in so much pain that none of that mattered as much as she had thought it would. She groaned as they set her down on the bed in the infirmary, and tried to do what was asked of her but she was too tired to really deal with it at the moment.
A boy was brought in as well, Roman of course, and he seemed pretty worse for wear as well. His face looked painful in the least. He was set on the bed next to hers and she sighed heavily. This was going to be a pain, the Romans, well, minus Castor, had not been too welcoming to her. They seemed to positively hate the fact that she even existed, and she was not in the mood to deal with one of them right now. Hades, the Mars daughter was the whole reason she was in this place to begin with. She looked over at him, seeing how bad his face looked and frowned, " Dang..I thought I looked bad. Who made mincemeat of your face?"
She gasped in pain as she had started to giggle and that had CLEARLY been a bad idea. " Gods....ugh." she looked up as the door opened again. Probably yet another person that had been turned into a black and blue work of injury art brought in for the healers to work their magic.
She was a fighter, through and through from an early age. Though she had been a little iffy on entering the olympics at first, she wanted to bring a little glory back to the Greek camp if at all possible. Though she had not come close to expecting to be paired against a daughter of Mars, the Ares counter part in her round. She was nervous from the beginning of it, but she had always felt more comfortable with her knives in hand. She had fought in the regular hand to hand earlier that day, now it was time for weapons. She had a few bruises from earlier that the ambrosia and nectar had not yet completely healed, but that was alright. She was willing to work through the pain, for the glory of Greece.
She stood at the ready in front of the daughter of Mars, Rhi they called her. She looked like she could rip Scarlett a new one if she so chose. The crowd was both cheering and jeering, she could hear her brother, Sean on the edge of the crowd telling her to keep her guard up. As if she was stupid enough to let it down. That was what her twin did though, stated the obvious. She could see Castor out of the corner of her eye as well, and she hoped that she was not going to make a fool of herself in front of him. Her fingers itched to start throwing her knives, but she wasn't going for that just yet, the one in her hair hidden in the braid that ran down her back. One in each hand as she looked up at Rhi, when they called for them to start she waited on her to make the first move, knowing that as a duaghter of the god of war that would likely be the case.
A smirk grew across Scarlett's face, " Show me what you got." she teased the girl before moving in, slashing at her with her knives, praying that she didn't hurt her too bad. She was well aware that this was part of it, but she didn't relish hurting anyone else today either.
Scar had been dreading coming to Camp Jupiter during the whole travel here. She had thought that it was going to be just one fight after another and that was something she was not prepared to deal with. In fact, if it were up to her, she would never fight again. Losing so many had been painful for her, not only the ones she had personally lost, but being near so many deaths when she, as the daughter of Hades, felt every one. It was awful, and she just didn't want to be around that kind of pain ever again. Of course, as a demigod, she was not going to have that luxury. Yet, from talking to Castor about New Rome as well as what she had learned about it since their talk, she had to admit that it was a little different for her now. Knowing that there was the chance that she could have a real life, not have to hide out all the time, never able to do anything else but stay within the boundaries of Camp Half Blood. Maybe she could even have a family of her own, though that seemed far fetched for most of her life.
Her smile was positively electric as she looked up at Castor, " As long as you are aware." she laughed and leaned back a bit. " mmm nope, not squeaky toys, just your charming good looks to get you through." she smiled, her eyes lighting up as he said that Cerberus coudln't have even kept him away from her that night. Her heart skipped a beat as he sat beside her, his toned body making her cheeks flush as she looked at him. She had to be careful or she was totally going to give herself away.
" Those sirens are very good at their jobs. I don't think I could ever live up to them. I promise not to drag you down to your death while we swim." she giggled and shook her head. Sometimes even she thought she could be way too goofy for words. At least he seemed to be on that same level she was. The flirting was really thick in the air tonight, and she was more than ok with it. She had been fighting the urge to kiss him since he said not even Cerberus could stop him. Any man that would be willing to tangle with her fathers giant three headed dog for her was worth it in her book.
Her blue eyes glittered with mischief as she looked into his own sapphire ones, " Nah, I have no interest in any other students. Least of all giving private lessons to any of them. I think you will be my only student here at Camp Jupiter." she tilted her head, curious as to his reaction to that little nugget of truth. " we can meet any time you want. Just give me a heads up as to when. Maybe I can even make your guard duty a little more interesting." she teased him, tucking her hair back out of her eyes, loving the way she was feeling, like the world was not such a dark place after all.
She thought his idea over and chewed on the inside of her lip. " No, I haven't actually. I guess I just didn't want to really remember it all." she shrugged, " I don't really know anyone, but I suppose...If you do, and you trust them..." she trailed off. She supposed she could at least try it. Even if the idea of remembering everything was a little frightening. " Its not just as your expense really, I just, tend to avoid people a lot anyway. Greek and Roman alike. You must just have something special about you." she grinned and thought about reaching for his hand but stopped herself, her nerves were just too high.
Laughter bubbled out of her and she winked, " Not this time, but I won't rule it out. He does love me, I know his favorite snacks." she grinned at the idea of bringing him around the giant dog. " I suppose I have been called worse things." she gave him a little half smirk as he looked at the bottle in her hand. She blushed bright crimson as he said he could kiss her, feeling the little bit of courage bubble up within her she eyed him, " What's stopping you?" she teased, her eyes on his. " Imploding over me shirtless? That would be a sight to see." she laughed and shook her head before drinking from the bottle. The wine was sweet, but just crisp enough that it wasn't too much.
The water was cool on her skin, making her feel refreshed as she watched him drink from the bottle as well. She used that moment to really check him out, my gods he was the perfect male specimen, though there was no way in Hades she was going to tell him that. Coudln't let his ego inflate too much. " So were you planning to join me or am I swimming alone?" she grinned, dipping beneath the water for a moment before coming back up, wiping the water from her face.
" I hope you wouldn't but, promise me if you do that you will let me know and not just..ghost me or something like that." she shrugged a little and tilted her head a bit as she looked at him. " Well, we came through the city so fast I didn't really get to see if properly. I would like to see it. The bridge, all of that. I guess, I want to be a tourist for the day? Plus get all the snacks we could possibly wish for, and maybe another bottle of that.." she gestured to the wine bottle before swimming back to the side, grabbing it and swigging from it before setting the bottle back down with a gentle clink of the glass to concrete.
