Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

Castor would be lying if he said that he wasn't utterly thankful that the day was nearing to a close. He hadn't participated in the games, but he had a long day refereeing them which had been nothing less of a headache. Despite warning campers from both camps that magic and godly-gifted advantages weren't welcomed, he had to break up and disqualify more than he had hoped. He half-way expected it from his half-siblings. Trying to get away with everything was their typical MO but he had disqualified campers from all range of godly lineage.
He was thankful that the day was ending. He had eaten his last meal of the day on the field, having to skip the banquet entirely. During the last match of the day one of the fighters had thrown a punch after the match had been called which had caused an outright brawl on both sides. One of the fighters was a kid from Apollo and the other a kid from Ares. The two had begun using their godly gifts and had all but destroyed the ring before Castor and another Centurion could break them up. As soon as it had been cleaned though he ran to the showers and changed, hustling back to catch the last ceremony.
He knew she would be there. The blonde daughter of Hades that had wrapped him around her finger. He had spotted her almost immediately. The sun had gone down but she always seemed to be brighter than anyone around her. He began making his way over to her, a soft smile on his lips. "You look beautiful." The words coming out as his greeting as he got closer to her. That was also when he noticed that she was bruised and bloodied up. Immediately he felt his blood warm, though he knew he had no claim to her, nor was she a maiden who needed saving. He tried to keep his urge to pummel whoever had hurt her down as he spoke, "You look like you fought half of Rome." His eyes scanned over her face, her injuries. "Are you okay?"
Was she sore? That was an understatement. Scarlett stood in front of the mirror in the bath house after she had left the infirmary (which was an adventure in and of itself) to try to clean up a little bit, but she still looked like she had been through the underworld and back a few times. She sighed, and ran her brush carefully through her hair, only wincing about a thousand times. She tried to cover up some of the bruises that were still healing on her face but that had not really been as easy as one might have thought. Finally giving up she pressed a little lip balm onto her lips before heading to the lantern festival. She missed the feast, having been in the infirmary, so her stomach growled a little bit, but there was nothing she could do about it right now, she had to at least get the lanterns up into the night sky, it was a way for them all to move on.
She wrote Ben's name down on the lantern, her final goodbye, her fingers running over the name for a moment before she whispered the goodbye to him and let the lantern float off into the air. A small smile crossed her lips as she watched it float up with the others and that was when she saw him. Castor. The smile spread a little more over her lips as he headed towards her and she felt heat pass over her cheeks. She had found herself thinking of him more and more lately, and she just couldn't help herself. It was as if the fates themselves were weaving their threads together. That she was meant to cross into his path, though what had happened at camp was a heck of a way to be the start of it, but she was so glad that she had made it here anyway.
" I know I don't look that way right now, trust me I've seen my reflection." she blushed brightly as he commented on how she looked like she had battled half of Rome. " Nice way of putting it." she sighed a little and moved into him wrapping her arms around his waist, laying her head against his chest. She was careful of the knife wounds that William had recently healed on her side and stomach, not that she wanted Castor to know that those existed either. She should have gone back to the barracks and grabbed a jacket, not thinking about the weather barrier being down. She was much warmer in his arms. " I'm alright. I was in the infirmary through the feast and everything. The healers took care of me. Met some interesting people in there for sure." she was thinking of Isaak and how he had tried to touch her and just the thought had her holding back laughter. " Sorry if I worried you..." she looked up at him, the lantern light reflecting in both her eyes and his own. Gods it was a beautiful night. Despite the occasion.
Castor couldn't help the soft smile that was on his face. Even in the semi-darkness, even after competing in hands-down one of the most difficult competitions this side of Gaia, she was still breathtakingly beautiful. The soft glow of the lanterns made her eyes shine, made her look like some kind of ethereal goddess. She denied it and Castor shook his head. "I mean it. You're beautiful." There was no grin on his face, no hinting of playing or flirting. It was utmost sincerity that came out of his lips. In a movement that seemed so natural it was heartbreaking, she moved into him. His arms went around her as if they had been doing so for years.
He held her a moment, just like that, in silence. He hadn't planned on this. He hadn't planned on chasing after a Greek girl for the sheer excitement of it, but he hadn't planned on her either. She had come waltzing into his life, her smile and charms reducing his defenses to nothing. Had she had nefarious intentions he would have been at her mercy. He supposed in a way he was already at her mercy. He might always be. He put his cheek against her head, taking a deep breath and letting the stress of the day go. However, she mentioned the infirmary and he found his lips pursing.
He didn't relish the idea of her getting hurt. Though he was well aware that was a very misogynistic thought to have. He couldn't help it. "Anything serious? Who treated you?" He knew a handful of Roman healers. As much as he hated to say it, he trusted them more than he'd trust a Greek to take care of her. Not that they were any less capable, but he knew the Romans. He had seen their skills and powers. He'd much rather have her fixed by someone who he knew and trusted.
She mentioned she was sorry for worrying him and he shook his head. "You don't have anything to apologize for. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I'm going to worry about you either way. I think it's a Roman thing. The need for control and whatnot." He grinned. His words had come out light but they hadn't been in jest. It was a true sentiment. He would always worry about her, whether she wanted him to or not. That was just who he was.
He held her for a few more moments, enjoying the peaceful night with her before he spoke again, hoping he wasn't about to ruin her evening. "Are you alright? I mean … with the lanterns tonight. Is there anything you want to talk about?" He didn't want to pry and he didn't want to make her talk about something that she wasn't ready to talk about, but he also wanted her to know that he was here. That he would always be there, whether it was the good the bad or something in between.
The blush grew on her face as he reaffirmed his compliment. Her heart was racing as she looked up at his handsome face. Gods, how did she get so lucky? Getting the attention of a guy like Castor was the last thing she had expected when they arrived in Camp Jupiter, but there they were. She was far from complaining. Her blue eyes found his, gauging his reaction before she did something she had been wanting to do from the moment she saw him walking towards her. Swallowing down the knot of nervousness that had formed in her throat, she stood up on tip toe, wrapping her hand gently around the back of his neck. Waiting to see his reaction, to make sure that he was ok with it, she pressed her lips softly against his, careful of her injuries but still trying to relish the moment. His lips were soft against hers, and she felt like fireworks were going off as opposed to the lanterns in the sky.
After a few moments she broke it, albeit reluctantly. Her cheeks were red beneath the wounds, but she looked up into his eyes again. " Sorry, I just...I couldn't keep myself. I kept trying to fight it, but I couldn't anymore." she admitted. It had been an incredible kiss, she was not about to forget. He had held her, his cheek against her head and it had felt like such an intimate gesture that she had not wanted it to end, but she had to do it, had to see if he was in the same mind set as she was. Scar was realizing more and more that she was head over heels for him, and that was something she had not expected so soon, but at the same time, she was not going to dwell on it. She was going to embrace it, and jump in with both feet.
Of course though, they had to get to her injuries and she sighed, he could see her face but she glanced around quickly before she was going to show the worst of them. " Well.." she pulled up on the hem of her shirt and showed him the healing wounds on her stomach and rib cage, stopping just below her bra line. " I'm alright I promise. William treated me, as well as one of your Roman's um...Isaak?" she dropped the shirt so that people didn't get the wrong idea.
" Hmm, are you sure its the Roman thing and not that you...might like me kind of a little bit?" she teased him slightly, trying to keep from letting the crazy of the day fall down over them like a blanket of doom. Maybe she was trying to see if he was feeling the same way she was though? She had hopes that they might be on the same page. He brought up the lanterns though and she had to debate if now was that time. " I said my goodbyes. It was hard, but, I think that it has been time. Moving on from all of this is hard, but, it's important." she ran her fingers over his shirt as she debated her next move. " I was with someone before all of this, he died during the fall of camp, but, he was the type that would want me to be happy, to move on...and I think he would have really liked you."
One moment he was holding her, perfectly content and absolutely sure that nothing in this world could be better. Then the next moment she had leaned away from his embrace, looking up at him, her lips coming closer to his. Castor had felt his heart quicken as her lips neared his. He halfway thought she was playing some very cruel trick on him. Perhaps getting him back for teasing her about being a siren. But then she had pressed her lips against his and all thoughts had been erased from his brain. He returned the kiss, his hand coming up gently to move through her hair.
He had thought about this moment from the first time that she had spoken to him. He had thought he would have been the one to initiate it too. She had, in perfect Scarlett form, surprised him yet again though. Her hand moved to the back of his neck, sending chills down his spine and he let his drop from her hair to the back of her neck, his thumb gently stroking her skin. He hadn't wanted to let her go, hadn't wanted her lips to move from his but as she leaned back he could only grin. A delighted feeling of happiness had consumed him. He was almost certain that someone could have taken his legs out from under him and he couldn't have cared any less. Not as long as she was there.
Her cheeks matched her name and he laughed, shaking his head. "Don't you dare apologize." He pulled her a little closer to him, moving his forehead to hers, "Does this mean I get to officially call you mine?" He leaned back enough so he could see her face, a grin on his lips. Happy. Utterly happy. The only thought bouncing around in his mind.
The conversation shifted though, to not so pleasant things and he found himself taking note of every word she said. Scarlett raised her shirt to show the wound marking her abdomen and his face was lit with concern. "Are you sure you're alright? You don't want to get it looked at again, just in case?" He knew he sounded like a mother hen, but he couldn't help it. She mentioned someone named William healing her and he shook his head, "I don't know him. Is he Greek?"
She continued on, mentioning Isaak and Castor gave an audible groan. "Isaak? For the love of the gods, please don't say he hit on you." Of all of the siblings that could have crossed her path, it had to be the one with the worst track record of behaving. She teased him about caring for her and he nodded with a small chuckle, "Oh it's definitely because of that. The Roman aspect only makes it worse. You picked the wrong mortal siren, you're stuck with me forever now."
He didn't want to remove his hands from around her. He didn't want the night to end. He asked if she was alright and Castor listened silently as she spoke about the people she lost. Then a particular person who she had lost. When she mentioned that the boy would probably like him, Castor gave her a soft smile. "I'm sorry Scarlett. I wish I could take all of the pain away." Had he been given the opportunity, he would have placed it all on himself, taken it all from her. "I am thankful though, to whatever god or goddess that sent you to me." He laid his cheek back against her head, holding her closer to him. He didn't want to think about the alternative. How his life might be had she not waltzed into his world and claimed all parts of him.
The feeling of his fingers running over the back of her neck made Scarlett's heart beat even faster in her chest. The kiss wasn't long but it was enough to make sparks fly, fireworks go off, all those cliche things. She loved that feeling, loved knowing that a kiss could have that effect. Her heart was so full, and she wasn't sure what to make of it. Castor had dug his way into her heart and she did not see that changing any time soon. She was so very attached already, and she had not a single complaint about it. " Alright then I won't." she smiled and ran her fingers through the hair at the back of his head when he pulled her in closer to him, his forehead pressed against hers.
" Yes, I think that is exactly what that means. Lets be honest, I was yours the moment we met." her cheeks flamed and she tucked her white blonde hair back so she could look up into those blue eyes of his. Despite the face that this was supposed to be a somber occasion, she could not help the feeling of pure joy that was running through her. The smile on his face was contagious.
Just as quickly though, the atmosphere changed and she had him looking at her wound. " I think I'll be ok, it looked so much worse before William helped me." she nodded at his question and let her shirt fall back over the wound, " Yeah he is. He's good. Don't think that he's not. I mean, we Greeks do have a few things we are pretty good at, and William's is healing. Just like mine is..." she moved in closer to him and kissed his lips again quickly, " Good at distracting you from the current subject."
Scar opened her mouth and started to answer then shook her head, " That would be a lie if I said he didn't." Isaak had been quite an interesting creature to meet that was for certain. She wasn't even sure that she had ever met anyone remotely like him. Which said a Hades of a lot in the world of demigods. The word forever had her blushing even more brightly than before, but it sounded amazing coming from his lips. " Forever sounds like a good start."
Nodding a little she shrugged, " Death is a part of our lives right?" she tilted her head, looking up at him, " I am thankful too. I don't know if it was one of our parents that did it, or Aphrodite...Venus? Whatever, herself, but I can't be happier." she leaned into him, " Do you think we can maybe go for a walk? This is all....kind of hard. I just, need to get away from it if we can? I mean, you are the oh so important centurion, so...you can get away with that right?"
