Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

She was a fighter, through and through from an early age. Though she had been a little iffy on entering the olympics at first, she wanted to bring a little glory back to the Greek camp if at all possible. Though she had not come close to expecting to be paired against a daughter of Mars, the Ares counter part in her round. She was nervous from the beginning of it, but she had always felt more comfortable with her knives in hand. She had fought in the regular hand to hand earlier that day, now it was time for weapons. She had a few bruises from earlier that the ambrosia and nectar had not yet completely healed, but that was alright. She was willing to work through the pain, for the glory of Greece.
She stood at the ready in front of the daughter of Mars, Rhi they called her. She looked like she could rip Scarlett a new one if she so chose. The crowd was both cheering and jeering, she could hear her brother, Sean on the edge of the crowd telling her to keep her guard up. As if she was stupid enough to let it down. That was what her twin did though, stated the obvious. She could see Castor out of the corner of her eye as well, and she hoped that she was not going to make a fool of herself in front of him. Her fingers itched to start throwing her knives, but she wasn't going for that just yet, the one in her hair hidden in the braid that ran down her back. One in each hand as she looked up at Rhi, when they called for them to start she waited on her to make the first move, knowing that as a duaghter of the god of war that would likely be the case.
A smirk grew across Scarlett's face, " Show me what you got." she teased the girl before moving in, slashing at her with her knives, praying that she didn't hurt her too bad. She was well aware that this was part of it, but she didn't relish hurting anyone else today either.
It had been a very eventful morning for the son of Mars, and by the gods she was living for it. Her blood sang with all the violence and competitiveness in the air, as though it was sang with the clanging of steel against steel and the thundering of hoofbeats and the yelling of the campers as they watched the Games. It energized her and fuelled her, realising this could be another opportunity for her to gain glory. Rhi was ambitious through and through, and she would take anything to prove she had what it took to be the best legionnaire. Suck on that, first cohort.
Even better, Rhi now also had the opportunity to go up against Greeks in a completely legal way that wouldn't find her dumped with dish duty for the week. She'd already gone up against a legionnaire from first and a Greek Mars - Ares, right? - boy, and her body showed her flagging defenses. There was an open wound across one cheek from a particularly nasty cut; she'd barely avoided getting her whole head lopped off by that annoying first cohort girl. Her combat leathers were scuffed, particularly around her knees and shins, and her hair was dirty from having been rolled on the ground a couple of times.
But this new girl that stepped up to the ring - Scarlett, Greek, Pluto kid - heck, she was far too pretty to be a kid of the undead. And she had a bite, too, the smirk metallic on her face as she laid down her challenge. Rhi savagely grinned right back, picking up a pair of hunting knives to match her opponent before muttering, "You asked for it - bring it on." In a whirl of bright blonde hair, Scarlett moved towards her, blades flying, and Rhi neatly dodged under the other girl's reach. Sloppy fighter, this one, but then again, she was Greek. Rhi wasn't in a rush to attack, though, and she definitely wouldn't hit from behind like a coward, so she waited for the Underworld daughter to make her next move, electric blue eyes sharp as she calculated how Scarlett would react next.
Scar kept her eyes on Rhiannon as they moved around one another. It was not unlike two jungle cats stalking their prey. She felt very much like a panther as she circled the other blonde, trying to fathom what she should try next. Scarlett wasn't even sure it was worth this. Any of it. Though she wouldn't deny liking the teasing of her oppponent. It reminded her of her time at Camp Half Blood, anytime they did any training, or tried to climb the lava wall, anything that meant they had to challenge themselves in ways that they might never have otherwise.
A smirk crossed her lips as Rhi gave her just as much sass as she had given. It was refreshing, someone being able to hold their own with her. She had found that in a couple people now that she had come to the Roman camp. Castor of course was really able to hold his own with her, and now Rhi, giving just as much as she doled out. It was interesting, to say the least. Of course, going up against a child of the god of war in combat was never a fair fight, even from a daughter of the lord of the dead.
Rhi anticipated her moves and there was little she could do about it than just let it happen. A growl escaped her lips as she looked up at the blonde, circling around as they both seemed to be weighing their next choices. The one thing she had always felt she was extremely good at was throwing her knives it was what she did best, her greatest asset, and she hoped, something she would be able to pull off with the grace, precision and speed that she normally did. Withouth hesitation she flicked her wrist quickly and threw one of the knives towards Rhiannon's leg, aiming for her thigh.
Despite Rhi's careful calculation of her opponent, the other girl still moved faster than Rhi had expected. The daughter of Mars had seen the twitch that told her that Scarlett had chosen her next move, but she hadn't expected the knife to come flying towards her. By the time the dangerous slice of metal was whirling towards her, it was too late for her to block it with one of her own, and she didn't have a shield to cover - the knife came at her, and just before it could sink into her thigh, her father's blessing activated. The knife bounced harmlessly off her leather pants, and Rhi felt the drop in energy that confirmed the magic had worked. Her power had been pretty drained, having already been fighting for a while that day, and the constant barrage of attacks had caused it to drop faster, taking hits easier, even after she'd taken a trip to the infirmary for ambrosia. The stamina required for the power just seemed different, and nothing but a good rest could really get it back to top notch quality.
But that hardly mattered right now. In Rhi's opinion, the knife throw had been a risky move, because now Scarlett had only one knife until she could grab herself another. Would Rhi let her? The daughter of Mars ignored the knife as it lay on the ground, instead taking the opportunity to pause a beat, allow Scarlett to realise just who she was up against, before smirking at her and saying sardonically, "Not sure that was your best move." Always a fan of a fair fight, a hard downwards flick of her wrist had the knife in her left hand sticking out of the ground a foot away from her. Let Scarlett think Rhi's invincibility did not just take that hit as well as it could have had she been in peak form. Half the battle was won just by showing just how little she was affected by anything, of course.
Before the other girl could react, Rhi charged forward, right hand deftly pirouetting her remaining knife so the blade was pointing towards her elbow rather than towards her opponent. With this alignment, Rhi reached her right arm forward in an arc, a combination of a heavy hook aimed at Scarlett's face with her closed fist, while also potentially inflicting a swipe of steel from the blade that trailed right after her knuckles. Rhi's torso twisted as she lunged, blonde hair swinging wildly forwards at the force of her movement.
Scar gritted her teeth when the knife glanced off the girls pants. There was one thing that Scarlett was very good at and that was throwing her knives. The fact that it bounced off of her like that only meant one thing. She was using god given powers that no one could work around. It pissed her off to no end and Scar's eyes flashed with anger. OF course that would happen, why wouldn't it? It was bull crap, and there was nothing she could do about it. She gripped the other knife tightly in her hand, trying to control the anger that was flowing through her.
Rhi came at her, and she mananged to duck the blow to her face but not the follow through with the dagger as it sliced into her cheek. A yelp of pain escaped her lips and she quickly placed her hand over the cut, her eyes full of rage. Her teeth were on edge and she glared at the other blonde. She whirled around quickly and threw her second knife, hoping that one would connect as she aimed for Rhi's arm.
SHe had one left, one that no one knew about but her, but for now she was going to make it look like this was about to become a hand to hand contest. Her own blonde hair had a streak of blood in it from her cheek and she glared down the other girl. " Never said I was smart now did I?"
As Rhiannon reset her stance, pulling her arm back to her body and readying them for the other demigod's defense, the daughter of Mars felt a flash of glee at getting the girl in the face. It wasn't vindictive, of course, because this was just a competition and Rhiannon didn't actually have anything against this girl other than that she was her current opponent. But it couldn't be denied that Rhi was glad to land something, even if it was just against a Greek. Scarlett was undoubtedly a fighter amongst the Greeks, but that Rhi could still get her in the face - point to Rhi, as far as she was concerned.
As she watched the blood drip down Scarlett's cheekbones, she smirked at her opponent. To be perfectly honest, the whole murderous blonde warrior thing was pretty hot, and Rhi took the pause as an opportunity to appreciate Scarlett's fiery eyes and the way her lips turned down as she snarled at Rhi. Even the metallic edge in Scarlett's voice sounded like music to Rhiannon. What a pity the girl clearly didn't feel the same way - Rhi would probably have asked her out on a date after their fight.
Her lapse in concentration was broken as the other girl shot the second knife at her. Because Rhi had been watching, she'd noticed the start of the movement, but she misjudged what Scarlett had been aiming for. Instead of moving away from the path of the knife, Rhi inadvertently adjusted her upper body even further into its trajectory, resulting in the blade aiming for just bellow her collarbone. The blessing of invincibility - frayed after her previous fights earlier that morning - shattered at the force of the knife, and the blade sank into her body.
There was no pain yet, an after-effect of her powers, but Rhi wasn't stupid enough to pull the blade out even though it didn't hurt yet. She'd sooner bleed out, and she wasn't quite ready to call this fight yet. Smirk now gone from her face, Rhi switched the knife to her other hand and retaliated with a flurry of jabs, sharp end of the weapon now pointed forward as she fought to repay the favour. "Guess not," she groused as she stepped forward, pressing the force of her knife-work against the Greek and trying to get her backed up against the edge of the arena.
The feeling of the blood on her face just felt sticky and uncomfortable and she hated it. She wanted nothing more than for Rhi to feel exactly how she felt. The stickiness, the pain, the burning of the cut on her skin. The minute the knife plunged into Rhi's skin she smirked. It was about damm time she landed a hit. It made her so angry to miss, as it was not what she did. She rarely missed, and it had driven her mad that the first one had glanced off of her as if it had bounced off a dang trampoline.
Though she had not counted on Rhi coming at her like a mad dog. She gasped in pain as jab and slash after slash cut into her skin, she felt gashes on her ribs, across her stomach, everywhere. Scar held up her arms to protect her face as best she could, feeling the knife dig into her skin. She hissed, gritting her teeth and quickly reached behind her, pulling the hidden dagger from her braid and using it to try to stop the flurry of slashes coming at her. She ended up backed into the corner and in order to try to stop the blades slashing at her she charged as hard as she could at Rhi, trying to tackle her to the ground.
Anything to get her off of her. She felt a little light headed, maybe from how much blood she was losing or from the amount of energy the had expended through out this whole match. Her blonde hair was stained red in places from the blood flowing from her face, her arms and body stung, she was exhausted.
It was with a savage grin that Rhi landed her hits on Scarlett, a vindictive pleasure in hitting her mark over and over again. She hadn't expected the Greek girl to come at her like a bull, though, expecting a bit more finesse from a knife-thrower, and Rhi let out a muttered curse as she underestimated the other girl's desperation to win. The daughter of Mars landed on her back with a thump, the air pushed out of her lungs as the other girl threw her weight downwards. Scarlett's head had come in contact with Rhi's face, and the Roman demigod tasted blood from a now split lip join the sand that had made its way into her mouth. Her shoulder screamed in protest, the knife still lodged in it, and Rhi snarled like a trapped animal as her legs kicked, trying to get Scarlett off her midriff.
As a form of distraction - and also a bit of disrespect, let's be real - Rhiannon spat blood at the other demigod's face, aiming for her eyes. Rhiannon's good arm scrabbled at the ground, reaching for the knife she had dropped at the force of her fall, raising her right arm against any attack from the other girl. If she could just get Scarlett off her front, Rhi was going to pay back the favour and trap the other demigod on the ground herself until she called uncle. Rhi's cornflower blue eyes flashed fiercely as her fingers finally wrapped around the hilt of the knife, torso moving upwards with the force of her right elbow aiming for Scarlett's face, her left hand with its knife flying forwards as a follow up. Her blonde hair, already somewhat dirty, had become even dirtier after this latest tumble in the ground, but Rhi was past caring. All she wanted to see now was Scarlett's too-pretty white-blonde hair streaked with the Greek demigod's own blood.
It had come to them fighting more like their lives depended on it. It no longer felt like a regular sparring match, it felt like it was life or death. They ended up in the sand, and her head slammed against Rhi. It was as if they were two she wolves, fighting for dominance. Though she had not expected the cheap shot of Rhi spitting blood into her eyes. Scarlett let out a yelp of pain and rubbed at her bright blue eyes. All she could see was red, and it burned like fire. Backing away as much as she could, trying to regain her focus.
Rhi hit her face again, Scarlett unable to see well enough to counter, so it was a double shot, the fist then the knife cutting into her cheek, blood flowing freely from the wound. She cried out in pain and fell to her knees, she couldnt' see well and now her face was battered, she never would normally back down, but it seemed that was going to be her best bet at this moment. She held her hand up, hissing out the words that she did not begin to want to utter, but had to.
As the Greek demigod reared back at the triple attack, Rhi took her opportunity to follow Scarlett's trajectory, the Roman demigod moving as quick as she could to get on top. She wasn't sure what caused Scarlett to pull back, if it was the knife or the punch or the spit or all three, but Rhi wasn't going to waste time. Within a second, she was on her knees, ready to fly at the other girl as she lay on the ground, a mix of Rhi's blood and her own on her face. Vindictively, Rhi saw her earlier promise to herself had been fulfilled: patches of red had marred Scarlett's bright hair.
To Rhi's surprise and disappointment, Scarlett yielded. Typical Greek. But Rhi supposed she was allowed - it was just not something the Romans did. The legionnaires fought until they could no longer continue, and so it was with barely concealed ill grace that Rhi threw down her remaining knife on the sand. It had felt as though she'd been handed the win, and she wasn't happy with that at all. More than anything, Rhi enjoyed actually fighting, not necessarily just winning, and if she did win, she wanted it with the knowledge that both parties had fought tooth and nail - sometimes literally - for it. Scarlett's yield did not satisfy her at all.
Wiping the back of her hand against her mouth, Rhi smirked at the Greek. "At least your face matches your name now," she told her, partly humourous and partly vindictively. Despite the blood and dirt and sand and bruises, it couldn't be denied that Scarlett looked like she belonged on the battlefield, like an avenging angel. Rhi would definitely love to meet her in a War Game - there would be no yielding then, and the daughter of Mars was keen to see how Scarlett would fight in a proper battle. "You fight well - for a Greek." And with that parting remark, Rhi began walking towards the exit of the arena, trying her best not to wince at the pain in her shoulder. She'd need the medic for this one, heck. Absentmindedly, Rhi daydreamed about fighting the blonde demigod again.
