Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

"They would certainly notice my absence...I still have friends here and will not abandon them or the those who remain of us Greeks" she said. "I will show you around" she told him with a soft smile as he held her. Certainly him being there would make life here much better. Certainly things could only get better rather than worse.
As Aurora led him to the bridge her gaze looked around her thoughts wandering. She listened to his words carefully. Of course many demigods wanted a peaceful life, a normal life but it was very unlikely. Few were lucky to even live to graduate from high school let alone college. "Yes I know what you were like...but somehow I changed that at least a little bit" she told him. Though she leaned to him as they walked. Though when he told her to stop she did and her brown gaze looked at him confused.
Aurora listened to him speak again and it was the realization that she felt the same. Never were they guaranteed to make it through the night. Who knew if a monster was going to kill them. She had thought of it plenty of times on the way here. Even when she had arrived she had a lot of time to think about the things she never got to say to him before he was ripped away from her. She had lived with that regret until she seen him in that tunnel.
She had no chance to even speak as he suddenly wrapped his arms around her and then kissed her. Though initially shocked she kissed him back. Her own arms wrapping around his.

Aurora had figured the only way she was going to feel better was to relax. This party and Nathans presence had given her that opportunity. The only way things were going to get better was for her to take her mind off things. Why not use the party as that distraction she needed? Surely standing around in the corner wasn't going to get her anywhere. Plus it had been a while since she had been to a party. Probably months prior to the attack on camp. It was also a good chance to see how Romans partied.
She buried the pain far beneath her kind and warm playful smile. "Well it has definitely been a long time since I have been to a party" she told him calmly. Her demeanor was very different to that of earlier when she had just arrived. Though she couldn't help but laugh lightly as he seemingly tried to guess her godly parent. Certainly her beauty screamed daughter of Aphrodite. Though his first few guesses certainly had her amused. "Sometimes its the obvious choices that are right.." she said to him with a playful smirk.
"Maybe you can show me to the drink table" she suggested to him gently. She didn't care who stared or glared at them. Sometimes all a person needed to feel better was someone who cared enough to make them forget what had troubled them. So far Nathan had managed to not only push her to speak but he had her smiling and laughing. Something she had not done in a while.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 261 Nathan Russo
She looked at him silently for a moment. "I know and I was ready to leave and go back and search for you alone..." she told him. She couldn't help but smile when he said it was so peaceful. "You haven't even seen the camp yet. It's different from back home but it is safe here" she said to him. Her brown eyes were locked on his.
"Outsider or not we are at least safe here. No monsters around almost every turn. Out there we might last a few months but we will always be on edge never truly safe. I know this isn't Camp Half Blood but would you risk the lives of all demigods for another to fall. If there are no camps for us where will the younger ones go? Roam the streets until a monster finds them? I don't want to see another fall I want to help if I can. I may not be a fighter but I have to try" she told him. She didn't want the events of Camp Half Blood to happen again. Outsider or not she was sure in time the Romans would be a bit nicer to them all.
"I am staying...I want to be in a place where I can actually relax and not worry about a monster everyday. A place to relax with you...Kaiden. As much as a place out there sounds great it isn't ours..." she told him. She would climb to her feet and pull him up with her. She brushed herself off and began leading him towards the bridge across. "No not even for you would I wear that skirt" she said.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 277 Kayden Hoyer
Aurora looked at him as he made the same promise he had years before. She sat there holding his hand and gave a small smile. "Then don't go sacrificing yourself like that.." she said with a light tone. It reminded her so much like the past and what camp life had been. She finally fixed her brown hair as she sat there with him.
Though it was what he said next that shocked her. She never thought of the future only the now. Who knew what quest or trip outside safety would bring. The chances of reaching adulthood was slim. Though here Camp Jupiter they rebuilt Rome. In New Rome the Romans had everything from cafes to university. Many who served the legion went on to live there and have families. What shocked her more when he brought up the fact of having a family. "I don't know about that...not sure if I want kids. If I wasn't a demigod maybe. Though the Romans have a whole city in their camp...New Rome. They have university and places to live. Doubt they would let Greeks live there" she told him.
When he suggested leaving she shook her head. "And go where...you know how dangerous it is out there. At least in Camp Jupiter were safe...for the most part..." she said to him. He let her pull her down into the grass. She looked over him shaking her head. "You would never find me in one of those skirts...ever" she told him.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 250 Kayden Hoyer
Aurora looked down at the ground as she listened to him tease her. "Not that I wasn't trying. Adjusting here hasn't been easy...nor was the trip. The nightmares are the worst" she said to him. Though ever noticed due to the fact he often hid it under a forced smile or a laugh. The less the others worried about her the better. She leaned her head against him just glad to have him back. Nothing else seemed to matter.
Though as he talked about the fight she bit her lip. That was still a painful memory as camp had been her home. It was much more welcoming than this place. Although she had been helping Sienna make their barracks much more welcoming. "Well I am glad it happened as it kept you alive. Changes or no changes it doesn't matter" she told him. Though when he mentioned family she frowned slight but she let it fade as soon as it appeared. "He knows of how dangerous our lives can be...as we escaped I managed to tell him that I was safe and at least sort of where I was headed. I saved him the harshest of parts like the fight and the dangerous road ahead. I arrived with a group of demigods but because there was so many we were never safe until we got here. Not that the Romans have been super welcoming...but here we are safe" she said to him.
"Yes here we are..." she said with a smile. She couldn't help but laugh as he asked if she would play nurse. "No but there is an infirmary here I can take you too. The one Roman Apollo kid helped me out when I arrived. Had a cut on my arm." she told him. She pushed strands of her dark hair out of her face. She would definitely have to fill him in about life here. It was so much different than Camp Half Blood.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 327 Kayden Hoyer
Aurora was mentally freaking out though that was probably just as evident. She took a deep breath trying to calm her emotions that had taken over. Very few seen her this soft and teary. She had hid her emotions since her arrival here from everyone. She had hid the pain she had felt for so long. Yet the minute she seen him and wall and barriers melted away. The moment she felt his arms around her she felt whole again. The void inside her was gone. She didn't even know where to start as she looked at him. His gentle touch almost having her in more tears.
"It's you...it's really you... but how..." was the first words that escaped her lips. "I watched you leave me...and then you never came like all the others that survived. I...I thought you died...though deep down I had hope you were alive..." she said to him. Her voice was shaky with mixed emotions. Her own hand brushing across his cheek gently. "When we fled we had no choice but to flee...too many of us in one place...camp Jupiter was the only safe place...I wanted to go back for you but they stopped me..." she told him. There was so much to tell him and so much to explain about what he had missed. He also had so much to fill her in on. She lightly punched his shoulder, "Don't ever do that to me again...or by the gods I will drag you with me so you can't stay behind" she told him sternly.
Aurora paid no mind to the ruffled hair he left her with. None of that mattered as she led him through the tunnel and past the safety of the barrier. There was still a small field between the and the Little Tiber river, but she would later take him further down to one of the bridges. For now she found a place they could sit on a sit in the grass and just talk. Taking a seat she motioned for him to follow. At a closer look past the tears and the smile the exhaustion was evident in her face. She immediately looked at him, "Your not hurt are you? Any monsters hurt you?" she asked him. She felt bad for getting so caught up she had forgotten to check to ensure he wasn't hurt. She could simply take him to the infirmary if needed.

Aurora had finished lunch about half an hour ago or so. She had been wandering Camp Jupiter without no reason or destination. Within the hour she found herself walking towards the Caldecott Tunnel. She wasn't sure why she had been drawn here as it was the entrance to Camp Jupiter. She had no real reason to be here. Yet a feeling or something drew her here. So there she stood on the opposite side of it behind the barrier to camp.
Since the party her siblings had forced her go to things felt strange. They had urged her to move on with her life. Every time she tried to move forward and face the possible truth that he was gone she couldn't. A burning hope buried beneath the grief and sadness that had taken hold since she left with everyone. It was that day that haunted her dreams, the reason for her lack of sleep and certainly the reason for her distancing herself. She remembered that day and would probably forget it. The last thing she remembered was trying to get to Kaiden to take him with her and the others. But he stayed back, he chose to fight the loosing battle.
Standing there she stared out past the barrier expecting nothing. Then she saw movement, a figure standing there. It was when they got closer that she almost collapsed in pure shock. Her heart sank as if she was looking at a ghost. A part of her doubting what stood before her. Tears threatened to spill as she stood there motionless for a long moment. Her brown hair being swept around by the wind. Her hands trembled as she tried to come to grips. She took a step closer. With every step they took she became more and more certain.
At first her voice was soft and uncertain. "Kaiden...". With every step she took her pace quickened until she was running. "Kaiden!" she called out to him. She kept running until she was right there. She wrapped her arms around him in a hug threatening to knock him over. She didn't even care that she was out of the borders safety. She hadn't even noticed the motorcycle that sat parked not far from him.
In that moment she was overcome with a rush of emotion. The tears that had threatened to fall were falling now. She didn't dare let go for fear he would disappear again. When he first vanished she had thought it was her mother who had caused it. Despite the tears she was more overjoyed and relieved. Of course the anger would certainly come up after she was sure he was alright. A part of her wanted to tell her half siblings that as much as they doubted her she never gave up. Not on Kaiden or the fact he was still out there.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 478 Kayden Hoyer
Aurora had to think over her experience here when Sienna asked about any bad run ins. "Not really maybe a few looks... but that is about it. What about you?" she asked. She knew how Sienna felt because she felt it too. They fit in here and that obvious. At Camp Half Blood things were much more relaxed and not so strict. Of course they still had rules that needed to followed.
Though the moment she started thinking about Camp half Blood and what it was like caused a light frown to cross her expression. it almost felt like a distant memory and a painful at that. Though as quick as the frown appeared she hid it behind another forced smile. She needed to stay positive, now more than ever. With a deep breath she lifted her brown gaze back to Sienna after it had down to the ground for a short moment.
"I guess your right. I am good with a make-up brush...can't be too different right" she said with a light laugh. Aurora was always good at trying to mask her feelings. She figured it was better than worrying others with them. Plus her siblings had never been ones to help. if anything since her arrival here they had been trying to push her to go out and try and talk to new people. No doubt trying to get her to forget about Kaidan.
Aurora seemed to look him over as he stood now before her. She herself radiated beauty even if she was faking a smile. Her tanned skin clear of blemishes. Her brown hair perfectly braided over her shoulder. She carried the beauty of most Aphrodite kids. Though where most of her siblings purposely looked to break hearts she was not like that. She would much rather have a relationship that meant something and not some fling that would be tossed to the wind in an instant. It was the very thing that caused her much pain from the past.
Though from her expression she held no pain but just a gentle smile and her brown eyes soft with kindness. "Well then Nathan it is nice to meet you as well. Not entirely sure what Roman parties entail...maybe you can show me" she suggested to him kindly. There was a playfulness to her tone. Something about Nathan was different to her. Most likely being the way he treated her differently than most.
He was certainly a charmer but he also listened to her. Most just nodded and pretended to be listening. Or they just told how she should be rather than talking her through things. Many of the Greeks were going through this rough patch but that didn't mean it was the same for everyone. Her siblings pushing her the way they had certainly didn't help matters much.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 236 Nathan Russo
Aurora watched as others moved about having a good time. Of course she had many reasons for not enjoying herself. Between everything on her mind and everyone practically being strangers. If she had been in a better mood she wouldn't have minded going and mingling. Though she was aware of how many Romans felt towards them. Even in a party situation it was hard to tell who was alright with Greeks and who wasn't. She in no way wanted to cause a scene.
That was when she noticed someone making their way over. She pushed strands of loose hair out of her face and put on a kind smile. The last thing she needed was to make someone question her foul mood. When he asked if she was a Greek she gave a nod. "Yeah...that obvious huh..." she said calmly. Her brown gaze looked over who stood before her with curiosity. Clearly a Roman but he seemed alright so far.
"I am Aurora..." she said kindly. She hadn't exactly expected anyone to come over to talk to her. She was sure there was plenty of people who wished to talk. She of course didn't mind it as it made coming to this whole worthwhile. Not that her siblings had given her much of a choice. At one point they even threatened to drag her all the way over her.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 229 Nathan Russo
Aurora stepped in closer once she was finished with the spray paint. She pushed her hair back behind her ears. "Well your not wrong about the romans" she pointed out to her. She had seen it and experienced it first hand with just how unwelcoming the Romans could be. She tried to not let it bother her too much. There was more important things for her to deal with. "It definitely makes the place more welcoming" she said to her with a soft smile.
Running her fingers through her hair once more as she was then asked if she painted. Aurora wasn't always good at art, makeup and fashion maybe. Painting was a different story however. "I mean I have never been good at art, but give me something simple to paint and I can possibly help" she told her. She gave her a light shrug figuring why not help.
Maybe it would even give Aurora something new to occupy her. Any sort of distraction was a welcome one in her mind. It gave her less time to think on the negative and think of a positive. She may not have been an artist but it seemed like a good idea. Even more so if they could get more to work on it with them.
Aurora in the time being here wasn't the biggest fan of Camp Jupiter. Maybe it was the lack of freedom Camp Half Blood always offered. Or maybe it was the lack of those that had still yet to arrive. Aurora was doing better for sure since she had just arrived but she would always have that nagging feeling of something was missing. They all had lost friends and siblings in the chaos. For some they were not aware of the fates. And though Aurora held a smile on her face it was just hiding the true emotions and lack of sleep.
Aurora having grown restless in the barracks had headed outside to get some fresh air. The sound of shuffling and then the smell of paint reached her. It had certainly caught her attention and she made her way over. She stood back watching from a short distance. He brown gaze saw Sienna writing graffiti on the barrack wall. On her way over she had seen the chalk and had admired it with interest. Aurora was no artist when it camp to paints and things like graffiti, yet give her make-up or clothes and she could make a nice outfit of anything.
"It looks amazing...definitely lets everyone know this belongs to us Greeks" she said. She ran her fingers through her hair and offered Sienna a soft smile. This is exactly what they need in that moment. Something to remind them that even if they weren't in their home they were still those from Camp Half Blood. A much needed boost for their morale.
Aurora moved to take a seat. Her brown gaze scanning the room around her carefully. It was so different than camp half blood. The very thought crossing her mind was painful. Not even for the fact that it was gone, but those they lost and those they were unaware of their fate. She shook her head slightly attempting to clear her head of such painful memories. The ones that haunted her dreams, the very reasons for her lack of sleep. "No, No its fine..." she said lowly.
She lowered her head into her hands as she waited for him. When she heard him approach she pushed her hair dark hair from her face silently. She didn't want to be here, and not just the infirmary. Camp Jupiter was very new to her. It was obvious they didn't trust them and she certainly was unsure if she could trust them. The boy she would learn was Noah didn't seem so bad. She offered him a tired half smile. "I'm Aurora..." she spoke softly.
She gave him a simple nod and lifted her arm after lifting the sleeve of her shirt up. The daughter of Aphrodite knew many of her siblings were distraught over their looks. Aurora wasn't one to care too much about looks. Scars, wound and injuries couldn't hinder the gift of beauty. She was not as soft as many of them. Though she was in no way a fighter she made it clear beauty was not everything a person could be.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 252 Noah Solberg
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Things leading up to her making her way to the infirmary was rough. Her along with many of the other Greek demigods had finally arrived in camp Jupiter. Many of which were both exhausted and inured, or even both. Aurora was far from a fighter but in the chaos of fleeing she had received a few cuts and minor bruises. The biggest cut going down her arm. She knew she needed it looked at but a part of her didn't care to go.
Though physically in camp Jupiter her mind was across the country. She had hardly slept since leaving and making the journey, and when she did the nightmares quickly woke her. Of course she let none of her friends notice how much she had changed. Her thoughts often thought back to the attack and how she shouldn't have let them drag her off without trying to reach Kaidan. He was in her thoughts often. She was unsure of his fate. A part of her feared the inevitable, that he died along with many others. But still some part of her refused to give up hope.
Aurora's outward appearance looked nothing like your typical children of Aphrodite. The exhaustion and obvious injuries evident on her form. Though underneath all that she still possessed her natural beauty. She stood there dressed in the slightly torn and dirtied Camp Half Blood shirt and jeans. Her dark hair fell down along her back neatly. She looked around unsure what to expect of course. This whole place was new to them and now the Romans had to share their home with Greeks. This would certainly be interesting.
"I..um my friends insisted I come get my injuries checked out" she said softly. It was clear that this was not something she had wanted. She would much rather go to one of her own healers. Though they had no supplies after the events leading up to now. The Romans however had the supplies to treat those injured in the fighting or on the journey here.

Notes: As you would guess it's a romance. A very close friend of Aurora’s. He saved her when she first witnessed a monster attack that nearly killed her. Together they made the trip to Camp Half Blood. Upon arriving and being claimed her siblings urged her to break his heart but she refused. He meant too much to Aurora. However when camp was attacked and destroyed she was dragged away from searching for him. She is unaware if he survived the attack.
If he is claimed I was thinking he could have made the dangerous trek alone to Camp Jupiter where him and Aurora could be reunited.
