Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] The infirmary felt more like home to Noah than the bunk he shared in his cohort did. He loved the smell of different healing plants, the sound of pestle rubbing against mortar when herbs for potions are being prepared, the sight of empty cots knowing everyone is doing fine and no one was injured, although, that was a rather rare sight especially these days. Today was one of those rare days and it happened to be empty. He was the only one around, just arriving from collecting herbs in the forest.
He set the basket filled with yarrow and goldenrod on the raised table in the front, multiple lines of shelves attached to the wall behind it and all filled with containers to the edge of them. Taking a look at the various contents, some half-empty, some still full, the blond grabbed five, carrying two tucked under his arm, towards another table on the other side. It was his prep station, clean and tidy as he preferred it to be.
But before he could start working on refilling ointments and tonics he strode over to the music player and put on one of his favorite songs: claire de lune. Once it started playing he felt content and started working on sorting the yarrow and plucking the flower heads and leaves to separate them from the stems. It had been a sunny day, perfect to harvest the herb. The pair of scissors he brought with him to cut the stems as they were a little tough, was laying next to the basket, its silver blades covered in dirt and thus, spreading it over his workplace.
Noah narrowed his eyes at the mess for a moment before deciding to grab a fresh towel off of the shelf next to a sink when he heard the curtains of the infirmary door being pushed aside. He turned halfway, glancing over his shoulder, hands wringing at the towel. "Anything I can help with?"
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Things leading up to her making her way to the infirmary was rough. Her along with many of the other Greek demigods had finally arrived in camp Jupiter. Many of which were both exhausted and inured, or even both. Aurora was far from a fighter but in the chaos of fleeing she had received a few cuts and minor bruises. The biggest cut going down her arm. She knew she needed it looked at but a part of her didn't care to go.
Though physically in camp Jupiter her mind was across the country. She had hardly slept since leaving and making the journey, and when she did the nightmares quickly woke her. Of course she let none of her friends notice how much she had changed. Her thoughts often thought back to the attack and how she shouldn't have let them drag her off without trying to reach Kaidan. He was in her thoughts often. She was unsure of his fate. A part of her feared the inevitable, that he died along with many others. But still some part of her refused to give up hope.
Aurora's outward appearance looked nothing like your typical children of Aphrodite. The exhaustion and obvious injuries evident on her form. Though underneath all that she still possessed her natural beauty. She stood there dressed in the slightly torn and dirtied Camp Half Blood shirt and jeans. Her dark hair fell down along her back neatly. She looked around unsure what to expect of course. This whole place was new to them and now the Romans had to share their home with Greeks. This would certainly be interesting.
"I..um my friends insisted I come get my injuries checked out" she said softly. It was clear that this was not something she had wanted. She would much rather go to one of her own healers. Though they had no supplies after the events leading up to now. The Romans however had the supplies to treat those injured in the fighting or on the journey here.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 340 Noah Solberg
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Whenever music was playing, although his favorite genre had always been classical, he fell into a world of his own. A world where there was only peace and quiet with the exception of the music playing softly in the background. It helped him clear his head, get rid of corrupt thoughts and forget the bad things that happened in the past. It just made him forget even if it was just for the briefest of moments.
By the time the brunette had entered the infirmary, Noah turned around, offering a warm and welcoming smile. He lightly tossed the towel over his shoulder, then gestured towards one of the many empty cots for her to take a seat. "Please, make yourself comfortable. I’ll be with you in just a moment," he said, waiting for her to sit. "I hope the music doesn’t bother you. They say classical supports the healing process. It sure helps to calm my own nerves." He chuckled softly, trying to lighten the mood while he scurried away to put down the towel and cover the herbs he was preparing for an ointment to keep the dust and dirt off of them.
Once he returned and she was seated Noah grabbed one of the small stools and pulled it in front of the cot so he could take a seat himself. "You sure have wise friends. Demigod or not, untreated injuries can cause much more damage than one would think. Unfortunately, most of us are too stubborn and maybe a little thickheaded to admit that." Rolling up the sleeves of his grey sweater jacket he gave his thighs a light pat, the smile easily returning to his face and softening his sharp features. Bright blue eyes gave her a quick once over before he held out his arm towards her. He figured from the orange t-shirt that she must belong to the group of Greek campers who had recently arrived.
"I'm Noah, by the way. May I?" he asked after spotting the dried blood on her arm and t-shirt sleeve.
Aurora moved to take a seat. Her brown gaze scanning the room around her carefully. It was so different than camp half blood. The very thought crossing her mind was painful. Not even for the fact that it was gone, but those they lost and those they were unaware of their fate. She shook her head slightly attempting to clear her head of such painful memories. The ones that haunted her dreams, the very reasons for her lack of sleep. "No, No its fine..." she said lowly.
She lowered her head into her hands as she waited for him. When she heard him approach she pushed her hair dark hair from her face silently. She didn't want to be here, and not just the infirmary. Camp Jupiter was very new to her. It was obvious they didn't trust them and she certainly was unsure if she could trust them. The boy she would learn was Noah didn't seem so bad. She offered him a tired half smile. "I'm Aurora..." she spoke softly.
She gave him a simple nod and lifted her arm after lifting the sleeve of her shirt up. The daughter of Aphrodite knew many of her siblings were distraught over their looks. Aurora wasn't one to care too much about looks. Scars, wound and injuries couldn't hinder the gift of beauty. She was not as soft as many of them. Though she was in no way a fighter she made it clear beauty was not everything a person could be.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 252 Noah Solberg
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] "Great," he commented, enjoying the soft sound of the music playing in the background. It helped him find the flow of blood, aided him in keeping focused on healing. Making himself comfortable on the stool he reached for her arm once she lifted the sleeve of her shirt up. "Nice to meet you Aurora," he said, narrowing his eyes at the cut on her arm and the bruises around it. Noah decided to tend to those first as they were much easier to deal with. "Although I guess the Infirmary isn’t necessarily the greatest place to meet," he added and let out a soft laugh, warm eyes glancing at her face for a brief moment.
He let his hand wander around the area with the bruises, just hovering close to the skin but not touching it. Warmth was emitted from his hand as he paused on each, concentrating and watching as each one faded, the purple greenish color of it vanishing from her skin. The blond smiled, more at himself and the satisfaction of healing her wounds one by one. Sure, he could simply give her a glass of nectar or a small cube of ambrosia but the Romans were stricter when it came to the usage of both. They needed to ration, especially with the arrival of the Greeks, thus he ended up using his own healing abilities more. At least it was something he was comfortable and skilled with after years and years of practice.
Noah squinted again, this time focusing on the nasty cut. He ran a finger along the edges of it, feeling the broken skin and cut flesh underneath the visible wound. He was reaching and searching for the one that was invisible to the naked eye. "Must have been quite a journey from Long Island to Berkely," he said, biting his lower lip while he continued assessing the cut. "This might sting a little-" he warned, watching as the skin started moving and closing slowly.
Aurora didn't mind the music as it was certainly relaxing to her. For one so tired it almost helped her mind drift. Though she at least managed to keep herself awake. Her brown gaze watched him curiously. "I don't reckon it is..." she told him calmly. Of course he infirmary was probably the last place you wanted to meet someone. Of course beggars could not be choosers. Things happened for a reason, even for demigods.
Though he hadn't said who is godly parent was she had gathered a few clues to come to some sort of equation. As he seemed to enjoy music and the healing abilities, if not the warmth that radiated from him. She came to one conclusion of being the son of Apollo. It would make the most sense to her. Few demigods if not nobody but Apollo's children possessed healing abilities. Of course it didn't really matter but one could certainly wonder.
"It certainly was...long and dangerous...even more so moving in smaller groups" she told him. Of course Aurora had slept very little on that trip mostly just to anxious to sleep. She hoped to at least get some sleep now that she seemed to be relatively safe here. Though her attention turned as he began healing the cut along her arm. She winced slightly but hoped it would not leave a scar. The only good news would that it wouldn't bother her anymore.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS 238 Noah Solberg
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Noah nodded very softly as to not disturb his focus on the healing as his hand hovered over the cut. He listened to her as she spoke about the journey from one camp to the other and surely, he wouldn’t want to trade places with her. Although, if their camp was to be destroyed they’d most likely just build it back up again, right here where it was. The blond frowned slightly at the wound despite it closing up quite quickly. After a few more moments it was done, his face lighting up with a smile. "There we go. All gone. There might be some traces of the cut left but it should fade in a couple of days."
Satisfied with his work he gave himself an imaginary pat on the back, then rose from his seat. "Hang on a moment. We should have clothes around here… somewhere," he told her, smiling, before moving to one of the dressers. He pulled the top drawer and closed it again, not needing any of the contents in this one. Moving on to the second drawer he rummaged a little before pulling out a clean, purple camp t-shirt. It wasn’t neatly folded anymore by the time he managed to fish it out from under the mountain of shirts but it was still fine. Giving it a little shake Noah held it towards Aurora. "Here. I think this should fit you. It’s not new but much better than the torn and dirty one you’re currently stuck with."
He offered her reassuring smile and turned away from her to make space and giver her privacy to change. Walking over to the front where he was working on earlier he grabbed a kettle and filled it with water from the sink. Not turning his gaze in her direction and just looking at the opposite side he called over, "Would you like some tea? I have the perfect blend to give you some strength." Being in his element Noah took a glass jar from the counter and opened it, holding it under his nose to smell it. Ah, the scent of green tea, ginger and licorice root. The latter being something a lot of people disliked but once mixed with other ingredients the flavor was mellowed to almost entirely. It still pertained all of its health benefits though and that was what counted in the end.
Aurora was never the type of person to be much of a fighter. Though the work she had seen Apollo kids from both sides do when it came to healing was amazing. Of course most were just gifted with their abilities due to their father. If she was honest it seemed a lot more useful than charmspeak. Of course she would leave to talents to those who possessed them. She watched as her finished up healing the cut. "Thanks.." she told him calmly.
Aurora watched him carefully as he grabbed out clothes. There was a knot in her stomach as he pulled out the purple shirt. She gave him a slight nod. She tried to hide her unease with a smile. Of course things were going to change here. But she was no Roman and the sudden thought of replacing her usual orange camp shirt felt odd. Though he was right about how destroyed her shirt was. Even as a daughter of Aphrodite her skills could not repair the shirt.
When he had turned to leave she allowed herself to change of the shirt and into the new one. She would fix her hair and pull it all to one side over her right shoulder. When asked about the tea she gave a shrug. "Sure why not.." she said to him. She would step over to watch what he was doing with curiosity. She sure could use a pick me up. Maybe it would giver her a bit of an energy boost to get through the day. Aurora was exhausted from both the trip and lack of sleep.

[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Noah pulled out two glass jars from the cupboard above the sink, carefully placing them on the counter. The one with green tea leaves was still full, the other with dried ginger cubes was almost empty. He shook the glass, two cubes of ginger remained inside. "I hope you're not allergic to something." He called out to her while she changed, eyeing the ingredients for the blend. With a sigh he put it back down, turning to one of the baskets nearby which was covered with a towel. He partly lifted it, a smile appearing on his face as he took out one big lump of ginger.
Placing the towel back over the basket he whistled along the music playing in the background as he returned to the counter. With quick and easy movements he had peeled the ginger with a spoon and was already chopping the yellow ingredient into cubes. One handful would be wrapped into paper towels to help them dry, another handful would go straight into the teapot he prepared in front of him. It didn’t necessarily matter whether or not the ginger was dried or fresh. The fresh one had a bit of a spicier note to it but the effects would sustain similarity.
Glancing over his shoulder as he heard her approach he smiled. "You could almost pass as Roman," Noah said jokingly but laughed softly before turning back to his tea. He added a bunch of green tea leaves onto a small plate to add to the water later. The ginger needed to soak the longest, then came the licorice root, and then last but not least the green tea for exactly two minutes and not longer. And while green tea was known to provide more health benefits when soaked for ten minutes, Noah wasn’t a big fan of the bitter taste that came along with doing that.
"I’ve heard a lot about your camp and living style already. What was it like? Sure sounded like you guys were enjoying yourselves a lot," he asked her, talking mostly over his shoulder. He only turned around once the water was all set and started boiling. Leaning against the counter he grabbed a piece of raw fresh ginger and started nibbling on it, his tongue used to the level of spicy.
Aurora made her way over to watch him as he prepared the tea for them both. "No allergies that I am aware of" she told him calmly. She stood out of the way to give him space of course but was curious as too what he put in the tea. She had never been too big on the tea but she could certainly use energy at the moment. Running on no sleep was certain to land her in some trouble.
However the comment of looking Roman seemed to leave her feeling uncertain. She didn't want to be Roman. Their way of things from what she had seen in her short time here were not something she was all for. She was far from a fighter, though often Kaiden had been a fighter. "I...um thanks I guess.." she replied.
Besides they were far more strict here than they were back at camp. It was always relaxing and all about having a good summer. Often only staying during the summer and attending school. When he asked about camp she pushed a strand of air out her face. "Yeah we often knew how to have a good time. It was definitely different than here. Was often laid back. Functioned more like a summer camp but also taught us how to survive in the outside world. The views of long island sound during sunrise or even sunset were amazing.." she said.
There was a small hint of sadness in her tone. There was a lot she wouldn't be able to do here. Things that she held dear to her hear. All of which would only be a memory to her now. She gave Noah a weak smile once more hiding the sadness behind a mask of calm and exhaustion. it had gotten her this far so there was no point in dropping it now.
