Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

[attr="class","THREAD3CONTENT"] Cameron winced softly at the mention of her breaking someone else’s nose, his hands automatically reaching toward his own, hovering over it, water dripping from his elbows as he held them above the surface. The Little Tiber wasn’t very deep where he was standing, his tall frame easily standing above the water from his waist up.
He blinked innocently at her after splashing some of the cool water at the brunette. “Oops,” he let out, shrugging playfully, batting his eyes once more at her. The grin changed into a bright smile when she accepted his invitation and his hand. Fair eyebrows quirked up in semi-surprise. “Claire Williams without her dagger? I’m astounded,” Cam commented with a laugh after she had put the blade aside, not taking it with her into the water, although Imperial Gold surely wasn’t going to rust. “Ever the daring daughter of Mars.” The blond winked at her, pulling her into the river.
Holding her hand until she was safely standing in the water at his side he let go, stepping back a little to give her and himself a bit more space. He pushed himself backward, leaning back toward the water as he glided away. “The best way to get used to the water’s temperature is to just take a quick dip,” he said, his eyebrows flicking up for a brief moment as he uttered his suggestion.
Cameron dropped down to his knees, vanishing underwater before he reappeared, breaking through the surface, water splashing everywhere because now he didn’t have to be too careful anymore about getting the daughter of Mars wet considering she was already in the water with him now. The blond shook his head like a dog, soaking wet strands of hair sticking to his face once he stopped. He brushed it back, smirking. “Just like this. Do you need assistance? I’m happy to take the chance. Never had the pleasure of dunking a child of Mars’ head down.” Cam only said jokingly, winking once again and taking precautions by stepping back once more. He was pretty sure that even with the dagger on the river bank Claire would be fast enough to grab it and stab him anyway.
[attr="class","THREAD3CONTENT"] Cameron looked at his tattoo and then his eyes briefly flicked at hers. "Maybe your future doesn’t want to be thought of," he told her, once more feeling astonished and proud of the sudden poetic advice that left his lips, if one could consider it advice at all. He really wasn’t the best when it came to anything serious, supportive, or advice. That had always been Castor’s thing, or anyone else’s. Cameron had other departments he excelled at such as frolicking around with Naiads and soaking himself in the lake or one of the pools Camp Jupiter offered.
'So that is why you were all the way out here.'
He nodded, keeping his hand on his head, long fingers intertwined between his sandy curls. "Yeah, someone lost it earlier during training and it seemed rather important to them. So naturally, I went to get it." Cam gave his hair a quick shake, tilting his head to the side to get rid of the water in his ears. Ocean eyes glanced up at the daughter of Mars, a smile correspondent to hers emerging on his slightly tanned face from being out in the sun all the time. "Oh don’t worry. Even if I do I’m sure I know where to find you. My best guess is that it’ll be the Ludus Magnus or the infirmary. Which one would be more likely?" he asked, albeit jokingly, remaining in the water.
His hand glided over the lake’s surface, the water rippling under his touch. It only moved slightly, but that was solely because he was moving as well and not because he used his powers which were useless in this realm. He played with a thought that stuck in his mind, looking up at Claire, the corners of his lips curling into a sly grin. Cameron was sure this might end with him in the infirmary but if anyone didn’t care in the slightest it was him, the son of Salacia.
With a swift and gentle flick of his hand through the water, he splashed it toward the brunet sitting at the river’s bank. "You know what helps me get rid of these thoughts? Submerging myself and taking a little swim," he said, holding out his hand in her direction as an invitation, although he wasn’t sure if she was the type to accept it. He batted his eyes at her, glancing up through thick lashes due to the wetness, clear pearls of water sparkling in between the fine, fair hairs.
Cameron found himself trailing the Little Tiber again, starting from the very beginning and making his way down towards the lake where it ended. He was just casually strolling around, hands folded behind his head. He had his eyes closed, only listening to the stream of water leading him down… or up, either way, it was enough for him to know where to walk. It wasn’t a sound as powerful as the ocean, his mother’s realm, which was always more like thunder in his head. The river, however, was calmer… like a steady rhythm of waves crashing against the shore despite not producing waves. It was just a river after all. And then there was the lake...
No matter how hard Cameron tried to see the lake as some sort of substitute for the ocean it didn’t work. It was small - in comparison to his mother’s realm - and had boundaries. It was limited space. Whenever he found himself just floating around he ended up hitting his head on the edge of it. It was great and nice to have a larger body of water available at Camp Jupiter but it just wasn’t the same. He missed the power the ocean had over him and the power he had over it, the smell of the salt which was inevitably missing here. Every day, he could hear and feel it calling him. Calling him home.
Head empty, no thoughts, he kept wandering down the edge of the river when suddenly the sound of something dropping into water ripped him out of his peaceful state of mind. Cameron opened his eyes, arms dropping to his side as he searched for the source. Jogging along the water he soon stumbled upon a body struggling in the river. Without hesitation the blond kicked off his shoes and jumped into the river, not bothering about his clothes.
Even though he was fast, by the time he was in the water the person had slipped farther down so he had to swim as he attempted to catch up with them. Thanks to the strong current it pushed him down quicker but instead of staying above the water, he dove under, which helped him to move even quicker. Cameron always had more of a knack for diving and felt more comfortable below the surface. Unfortunately, he had no control over the river’s water, so his swimming skills were all he could rely on.
Nevertheless, he was a faster and better swimmer than the regular demigod no matter what kind of water he was surrounded with. His feet were kicking, hurrying to catch up with the unknown body to keep them from drowning. Cameron caught the arms of the person, long brown hair slapping at his face as he wrapped his arms under their armpits. It was a bit of a struggle with nothing to hold on to drag them out of the water. "Hang on there. I got you. Just hold on to me as best as you can." He swam sideways, not against and not with the current and flow of the water, to get close to the edge of the river, one hand grabbing nothing but loose mud.
The blond sent a silent prayer when a low hanging branch of a tree finally appeared a moment later, his arm immediately shooting out to reach for it while the other was strenuously holding on to the brunette. He locked his legs around her, so she couldn't slip out of his grasp before he pulled the two of them out of the water. It was slow progress. Cameron was strong but he wasn't strong enough to simply carry two bodies out of the water with just one hand. Eventually, he managed to pull his upper body safely to the river bank, pulling the brunette up immediately after.
He spat out some water, although drowning wasn't easy for the son of Salacia. Taking a couple of deep breaths he lay on the grass, soaked to the core, wet hair sticking on his face in a very not-handsomely manner. "Are you alright?" he asked the other demigod, moving from underneath and carefully putting her on the grass. He pushed himself up to his knees, hovering over her face very closely as he observed her face, making sure she was breathing.
[attr="class","THREAD3CONTENT"] After Cameron tossed the pebble into the river he started collecting a few more, inspecting each as if he held jewelry in his hand. He nodded, gaze wandering over the water’s surface, watching the reflection of the light as it danced on top of it. He missed the salty smell of the ocean. Having a lake and the Little Tiber had been great, it was a larger source of water after all, but the freshwater didn’t emit the same smell like the sea. He always felt as if something was amiss whenever he hung around those places.
"Hmm… I wonder if New Rome offers career counseling," the blond replied, a short but genuine laugh escaping his throat. Tossing in another pebble he glanced sideways at her. "I mean if all else fails you can always join me at my future beach house and just enjoy life." Cameron had already lost track of time ever since he arrived at camp. If it wasn't for the tattoos they received for each year in the legion he wouldn't even know how much longer he had left. Holding out his bare arm where the tattoos were inked on he grinned softly. "It's still a year away. And who knows... maybe I have to stay longer."
Suddenly, Cameron spotted a silver object glistening inside the water. The sparkling caught his attention. Running into Claire almost made him forget his purpose for spending time around the river and the reason why his clothes were wet. The bracelet another demigod had lost earlier as it dropped into the water by accident finally reappeared. "Hang on," he muttered, scrambling into a standing position before two steps carried him over and into the river. He carefully climbed in, considerate of the brunette nearby, otherwise, he would have just jumped right into it.
A quick dive later and he reappeared at the surface, his arm held up and a victorious smile on his face. "Took me long enough," he said, more to himself than to her. That’s what you get for teasing water deities. Staying in the water Cameron waded over to where Claire was and held the bracelet out to her. "Do you mind keeping that for me until later? If I keep it in my pockets it’ll probably just get lost again," Cam said, running his free hand through the blond wet mess that was his hair, the water running down his face.
[attr="class","THREAD3CONTENT"] "You should be careful getting lost in your thoughts like that. One's thoughts can quickly make one drown in misery and despair. And you might not see an overly attractive son of Salacia approaching." Cameron winked at her and commented in between as he listened to her explain why she was so lost in her thoughts. Sometimes, only sometimes, the blond found that thinking was a little overrated. Now, he would love to say that worrying was overrated too but unfortunately that was something he could not deny as he found himself to be a big worry-wart more often than he preferred.
He understood her concerns, albeit shaking his head softly at the mention of Castor who, in his opinion, was being too serious sometimes. When it came to life after the legion Cameron had one plan. To move close to the ocean, his mother’s realm, and home. It was where he felt most comfortable, surrounded by seawater which he could actually control with his ability unlike the freshwater found in rivers and lakes. His powers have proven more than useless within the camp’s borders. With only one year left to absolve in the legion, he seemed to feel her troubles even more.
After snacking on another sugar cube Cameron turned his upper face towards her, one hand resting on the ground while the other was gently tapping his chin. He simply replied with a bit of an exaggerated shrug. "I see," he began, licking his lips which tasted as sweet as the sugar he ate. "First of all, Castor talks a lot. Nothing against him. He’s a great guy, I like him but he’s a centurion after all. You should expect him to be all serious about life after the legion blabla." Eyes as blue as the ocean on a bright summer day wandered over the grass and earth between them before flicking back up to the daughter of Mars. "Maybe use the constant training to your advantage. Consider working as a combat instructor after camp? Or something similar. New Rome offers plenty of options."
"When it comes to relationships… Well, I heard he’s digging one of the Greek girls. Can’t blame him. But there is plenty of f-," he paused, lifting his eyebrows, his lips still parted as the words hung in the air. He intended to say fish but being the son of a sea goddess made it kind of a weird saying to use. His thoughts buffered for a moment as he tried coming up with a better alternative, absentmindedly tossing a small pebble into the river. "There’s plenty of demigods out there. Or even mortals if that’s your type. What I want to say is… don’t force it. Let the Fates guide you." As he finished his answer to her he gave himself a pat on the shoulder. "Wow, the last bit sounded pretty poetic."

[attr="class","THREAD3CONTENT"] Cameron blinked innocently at her and the dagger she was probably about to plummet at him. He was glad she did not because he kind of liked living. He didn’t mean to scare her or surprise her, whichever it was she was taken by. Looking down at his feet, which he forgot were bare since he had spent all day around the water, he realized that he must not have made much noise when he approached her. "It’s fine. I guess I should have made myself more noticeable. Didn’t mean to scare you," the blond said apologetically.
He sat down next to her, sliding his feet into the cool water of the river. With a delighted grin, he held out the sugar cube towards her and waited until she plucked it from his fingers. Once he was free of holding on to the piece of candy he pulled down his drenched shirt, wringing it over the Little Tiber to remove water. Blue eyes watched the drops fall down before he moved his curious gaze back to the brunette next to him.
"So tell me," he began, giving the shirt a shake before he spread it out over the grass on his other side to make it dry faster. He had considered putting it back on but there was nothing worse than the feeling of a clammy shirt against bare skin. "What could possibly be on the mind of a daughter of Mars that’s bothering her so much to deeply frown into a river?" Cameron asked, having turned back to her as he opened the small waterproof satchel once again and to grab another sugar cube. He tilted his head slightly back, "You might upset some naiads if you continue to do so." With a smirk he popped the sugar cube into his mouth, biting down on it, resulting in the sound of a satisfying crunch.
[attr="class","THREAD3CONTENT"] Cameron was jogging along the bank of the river, eyes the same color as the reflection of the water closely watched the water as it made its way down. He had already taken a quick dip in it with the sole purpose of retrieving something another legionnaire accidentally dropped in it. The stream of water was moving slow enough that he should have been able to grab the item but for some reason it appeared to be playing him, fooling him even. So whenever he made a go for it the water would pull it further away. He hadn't really paid much attention but he suspected a nymph playing tricks or maybe it was the river itself.
Although, the task had grown tedious and quite frustrating the blond never lost his smirk as he continued moving down the river. His shirt, drenched in water, hung over his bare shoulder after he forgot to take it off before jumping into the water. Unfortunately, unlike the children of Neptune, he didn't have any control over freshwater sources so removing the water out of the fabric was not an option. There he was, shirtless but still chipper.
His jog was interrupted by an obstacle, or rather a person, sitting beside the river. He switched into a slow walk, still moving further and closer to the brunette he recognized as one of his cohort mates. As he moved closer he pulled out a small waterproof pouch and pulled out a crystal-like square. Cam had always been the type to worry over most people he knew, even if he was only faintly acquainted with, thus he had noticed the somber expression on her face as he stood next to her. "Sugar cube for a thought, Claire?"
Friendly: Despite being a Roman demigod he is not as arrogant as people suspect him to be. He is actually a pretty friendly guy who loves any kind of accompany. He's confident in all aspects, be it his ability to communicate with others, his skills, or simply his good looks.[break][break]
Relaxed: He lives his life as if the apocalypse is coming the next day. He is a carefree guy who just wants to enjoy his limited time on planet earth or the world for the living. He doesn't care much about rules or conducts and just does what he wants most of the time.[break][break]
Immature: This guy can be a bit immature like a child. Sometimes he just doesn't know how to behave and it appears as if he is 5 years old. He gets jealous easily, even though he won't show it. But if you take his favorite toy, or rather person, you will be glared at for the rest of your life. He is someone who doesn't like getting his things taken away and does everything to take it back/away from the other. He's a jokester, and sometimes a bit of a trickster. [break][break]
Stubborn: Isn't everyone a bit stubborn? As mentioned before he doesn't like others telling him what to do. He won't listen to and just wants to do what is on his mind no matter what others say. [break][break]
Blunt/honest: Cameron says everything that is on his mind. He's brutally honest and doesn't really care about the other's feelings, not even taking them into consideration. [break][break]
Selfish: After the loss of his best friend he started becoming selfish. He prefers to think of himself over others. It's actually just a shield to protect himself from himself. He is afraid of losing more people who are precious to him and the feeling of grief has left a small trauma.[break][break]
Worry-wart: Albeit not showing it he worries a lot about people but he would never admit it, just maybe secretly help without someone knowing it since he does not want to destroy the hard built facade.
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
at camp for 9 years, claimed[break][break]
Cameron was born to Stephen and Salacia, wife of Neptune, goddess of saltwater. Stephen was working as a captain for a holiday cruise ship. He was out on a route over the North Atlantic when he spotted a dolphin in distress. It was caught between nets, although there weren’t any fishermen ships nearby. Stephen had always been someone who adored animals, thus he did the only thing that made sense to him and got off the cruise ship on one of the lifeboats. He got to the dolphin, freeing it by cutting the net, and released it back into the sea once he was done. It thanked him with a jump, a spectacle the ship’s passengers had recorded. [break][break]
He wasn’t aware that Salacia, the patron of dolphins, was watching him, surprised that a mortal would go through such lengths to help an animal. She’d seen them ignore everything around them for most of the time. She wanted to thank him, posing as a passenger aboard his ship and sought him out. Stephen was immediately smitten by her because she smelt like the sea, the one thing he loved more than anything else. She appeared a few more times, ultimately spending the night with him once before she vanished for good. The smell of seaweed and the sea still lingered but he could never forget her. [break][break]
Cameron was brought to him in a basket in the form of a seashell, a bracelet with a tiny dolphin charm was tied to it. Not having much of a choice Stephen brought Cameron with him on the ship where he was raised until the age of 9. They then moved to Half Moon Bay, a small beach town near San Francisco. Cameron would have preferred Hawaii but for reasons, his father couldn’t tell him they moved there. It was a nice place with a direct connection to the beach and the sea, which Cam fell in love with just like his father did. [break][break]
Two years later he went on a field trip to the aquarium where they were supposed to collect notes for an essay. Something Cam definitely didn’t care about. Upon entering the building he felt strange, a weird sensation of being trapped as if everything was wrong. The fish moved at his side as he walked and looked at them. He could have sworn they were talking to him. He could practically hear their pleads to be set free again, into the ocean where they belonged to – like him. The group arrived at an outside pool that contained dolphins and where a show was being held, which, of course, the class needed to attend. He was ushered towards a seat but not before he caught the dolphin actually saying something to him. Cameron shrugged it off and blamed the lack of hydration for it, making a mental note to drink more water. Definitely more water. The show began and with that, his life would take a drastic change. [break][break]
The pool was connected to the sea by a gate. A gate that would happen to malfunction on the same day. Cameron watched the show, fascinated by the dolphins as those were his favorite animals. When the performer asked for a volunteer he was the first to step up, basically throwing himself over the other seats to reach the pool. He was excited, instructed to touch the dolphin's head. Cam did as he was told and waited patiently for it to respond. It did, telling him to get on his back. Without hesitation, as if it was the right thing to do, he listened to it and held on tight. There were gasps coming from the audience and the performer had tried to get him off but before anyone could have done anything the dolphin spoke. I will take you home, son of the sea. And then swam to the other side of the pool where the gate leading to the sea was. It malfunctioned and opened as it slammed through it. [break][break]
Cameron wanted to let go the moment they were underwater but something inside of him told him not to. Obviously, his own mind was telling him to die. He held his breath for as long as he could until all the air was out and he couldn’t hold it anymore. Expecting to swallow water, drown and ultimately die, he was more than just shocked when he found out he was able to breathe underwater. And it was probably from shock when he fainted. [break][break]
He woke up the next day in his bed, at home. Ah, it was just a dream… at least until his father appeared and told him it was in fact not a dream. It had really happened and everyone thought he had died. Stephen explained that his mother had left a note in the basket, explaining his heritage and steps that needed to be taken if certain events should arise. Cameron received the bracelet and was driven to the Wolf House. [break][break]
Being the son of a sea goddess was great and everything… but it proved to be worthless at the Wolf House where he was training to become worthy enough to be sent on his way to Camp Jupiter. Cameron struggled to survive, despite the hydrokinesis he inherited from his mother. But it mostly worked with saltwater, ocean water… the sea. Which was far away from him. Instead, he was forced to pick up regular combat, sword fighting, which he then used to fight his way out and survive the trip to camp. He arrived with a meh letter of recommendation and was welcomed into the third cohort.
[ LIMITED HYDROKINESIS ] - Cameron has a very limited version of Hydrokinesis. It doesn't quite work like the one a child of Neptune may have. He can bend, shape, and summon water to aid him but it is limited to saltwater. He cannot manipulate freshwater sources in a manner that he could do with ocean water. While he is capable of bending it slightly, it just isn't strong enough to do anything. However, when in the sea, it becomes a natural part of him. Easier to control, to call upon, to bend and shape. Of course, the more he uses it the quicker he tires. The more water he summons and bends, the quicker his energy is drained.[break][break]
[ NATURAL SWIMMER ] - As the son of a sea goddess, Cameron is a naturally gifted swimmer and diver. He can breathe underwater, an ability he mastered at a young age. He feels more comfortable in the open sea but he would take any pool or lake to just dip into real quick. Diving is his favorite thing to do in his spare time.[break][break]
[ FISH WHISPERER ] - Cameron can understand and talk to most sea creatures, although dolphins are the easiest to work with.[break][break]
[ SWORDSMANSHIP ] - To be honest, he's not much of a fighter, but being forced to survive the Wolf House had made him pick up a sword to fight his way through. It has been his favorite weapon of choice since then. He's not a bad swordsman. He could surely do better if he cared enough. [break][break]
