Her earbuds were in her ears as she walked through the camp, the soundtrack from the Greatest Showman, her favorite movie, playing in her ears. She hummed along with it as she walked, keeping her eyes down to try not to attract too much attention. Being Greek in a Roman camp was not easy, and she was constantly on her guard, not sure of who might just want to toss them out of camp if they got the chance. It wasn't that she thought they would, but being this close to Napa, this close to her mother, had made Sera a little more ill at ease. She did not want to go home, she never wanted to go home. If she was tossed out of the camp, without a Camp Half Blood to go back to, she would have no choice really. It was go back to the vineyard or be on her own. Her mother knew full well with her powers that she would be able to make the harvests better and better at the vineyard every year, she would totally use her if she could.
Seraphime found herself travelling further from the barracks and buildings and some how found herself in the one place that a girl that was terrified of deep water should be. Right on the edge of the river. Rewrite the Stars was playing in her ears as she wrapped her arms around herself and watched the water flowing by over the rocks and things in the water. It had quite the current at the moment, and she guessed that it had been raining or something further up the river from Camp. Watching it flow by she could see a few fish in the water and she smiled a little at that, though it also reminded her forcefully of the creature that had tried to drown her all those years ago. She shuddered, and wrapped her arms even tighter around her body. She should just go back towards the camp, but it was rather peaceful down here, and she knew she would eventualy have to get over her fears.
Biting her lip, she took a few steps forward until she was right at the waters edge, glancing down at it she felt one of her earbuds start to slip out of her ear and she went to grab it. Unfortunately, when she did, she lost her balance and the next thing she knew, part of the embankment broke loose and she fell right into the cold water. She let out a little scream as she fell into the current and tried to fight against it. Kicking as best as she could, her clothes were weighing her down, and she was slammed into one of the rocks, hitting her head pretty hard. " ow..." she cried out in pain and was seeing stars. So much for getting over her fears.
As she kept fighting the current she cried out , " Help!" she sputtered as some water got into her mouth and she slipped beneath the surface of the water. It would appear she was getting into the deeper part of the Tiber and she couldn't keep fighting it. The pain in her head from her hitting it on the rock was making her vision blurry and she coughed before she slipped beneath the waters surface again.
