Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

The first thing Zeph would like to say about his new - and temporary - home in New Rome was that bureaucracy sucked. Never before had he come across so much red tape just to visit his own sister. Sure, he was a Greek and an adult and probably too old to really enter camp, and the Romans obviously didn't trust him enough or whatever, but come on, this was his sister in a camp of teenagers. What was he going to do, flirt with jail bait? He didn't think so. He was more than capable of getting adult women, thank him very much. The most dangerous thing Zeph could do in Camp Jupiter was probably knock some overeager Roman kid who decided they could go up against a grown gluteus maximus demigod. Zeph would have no problem in that situation and call it - quite accurately - self defense.
And so it was that the morning found him with a glare on his face and his eyes hard as he looked out over the lake. It wasn't anywhere near as beautiful as the beach at Camp Half-Blood, and it didn't matter that he had never been a huge fan of water in any scenario. Any lake on Roman grounds would only ever be half as picturesque as any Greek body of water, or so Zeph thought pettily, and that bias had nothing to do with how he was being treated by the ex-legionnaires in New Rome.
As he kept his gaze over the water, staring against the brightness of the morning sun on the lake, Zeph allowed his mind to wander to the reason he was here: Avery. He had long stopped feeling any real sense of responsibility over her; she was, after all, an adult now, and he had never been all that graceful about being any kind of babysitter. Still, a part of him had worried, his thoughts going straight to his younger sister the instant he got news about camp burning down. While he had no love lost for his old home, Avery's safety had been his first concern, as much as he pretended he did not just drop everything, including a very shady deal with a demigod he may or may not be having illicit liaisons with, just to cross the country to hunt for his sister. No, he did not get up at some ridiculous hour of the morning because the Roman official he was assigned - like he was some sort of criminal getting a visit in his new gaol - insisted that it was the only time he would be allowed to see Avery. This was a completely normal time to wake up, and a completely normal activity, to hang out on the border between camp and New Rome, and he was not at all anxious about the state of his little sister. Zeph was a cold-hearted demigod who cared about no one and nothing but himself. Of course.
Avery had been getting along just fine. Better than one might have suspected she supposed. Had she already gotten in trouble? Yes. Was she completely useless in all of the training courses that she had been forced into? Also yes. But, she had made a slew of new friends and was slowly starting to feel like this place had potential to be, perhaps not home, but something that resembled a home. A home away from home she supposed. If the home was filled with lots of people who thought that she was beneath them. Which really wasn't the worst situation she supposed that they could be in so on the whole, she had nothing to complain about. She didn't mind the place, though she did miss her old camp.
At night that ache seemed to be worse. There were no nightmares, there was no tossing or turning. The problem was, that there wasn't anything at all. When it was time for lights-out, everyone dismissed and went promptly to their barracks. There was no warm campfire. No re-cap of the day with friends, no singing together. There was nothing like that in this new place. She had asked around to see if it would ever be established, but the first person had laughed at her and the second had only glared so she figured that might be a dead-end. She had thought about asking her cabin leader if they could ask, but they had seemed so busy that she hadn't wanted to burden them further.
The problem kept her up for most of the night. So in the morning, she had decided to take a stroll around the lake. The water was always a place that reminded her of home. No matter where she was, as long as she was near a body of water, she always felt close to her family. Like the miles nor even death could ever separate them, not truly. Her bunk-mates had made a joke many a time that she had been a Poseidon kid in a past life. She wouldn't have minded having water powers. It would be much more useful than the ones she actually had. Avery walked along the path that brought her to the lake, the sight of the sunshine gleaming on the water's surface made a smile instantly come to her face.
Her eyes glanced around the area then, landing on a bench that lay a few feet ahead of her. It was already occupied and before she glanced away, the person turned just slightly. Even from behind, she knew exactly who that dark hair and angled chin belonged to. She would know her brother anywhere, even if she only saw his back and a small glance of a side profile. That same slightly brooding way that he seemed to always hold himself.
Avery took off at a jog towards him, her feet closing the distance quickly. "Zeph!" She came up behind him, throwing her arms around him in a large hug. "When did you get in? Are you going to stay?" The smile was huge on her face, her arms still wrapped around him.
