Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

Jax grinned, nodding in appreciation when Claire shot out a little joke of her own. Thick skin. It was yet another thing his family had seemed to have in common. Jax found himself laughing, "No problems there." as if he would go easy on anyone. Sibling or not, he didn't like to hold back. Life didn't hold back on anyone. You couldn't be in the middle of a battlefield and call for a time-out because it was too hard. Life hit you and kept hitting. In his mind, it was in their best interest that he fought as hard as he did with them.
Jax drank the last swallow of his coffee as Claire charged. He dropped the cup as the tip of the spear was thrusted in his direction. He moved quickly, jumping to the right, out of the blade's reach. Claire swung the tip in an arc, for what he assumed was a tactic to knock him off his feet. Instead the blade simply knocked into his leg, giving him a small cut but not even close to knocking him off his balance. "Think Claire. You won't knock someone who's balanced on the ground with a long pole, no matter how sharp it is." He was grinning, the adrenaline slowly waking his system up.
She moved back from him and he kept himself balanced on his feet, centered on the ground. His eyes didn't leave her as he spoke. "Think Claire. You have a spear. Your opponent has a pugio. What's your smartest move?" He could feel the sweat beginning to run down his back already. Her armor would be hotter, making her slower. His hands stayed out and open, ready to deflect her next move. He thought about cursing her weapon just to add another level of fun, but instead wanted to see what she'd come up with. He could always make it worse later.
Jax listened, with only the barest of interest, as Tanwynn replied to his demand. He took another bite of the pizza. The cheesy goodness being the only thing that was currently keeping his irritation at bay. He expected the other male to let the stranger go. It had not been a request. As the boy casually spoke about the man's drowning skills Jax replied, "And I'll let you show me your bleeding skills if you don't do as I say." He lowered the slice in irritation, glancing at the other demigod. All he wanted to do was eat a bite of pizza and get through a few hours of guard duty. Leave it to Tanwynn to make it unnecessarily more complicated.
The other demigod replied about not being able to wipe memories and Jax took another bite, finishing off the pizza. Interest, again, the farthest thing from his mind. "Excuse me for not knowing everything about your bizarre gifts. I thought you had at least one useful thing going for you. My bad." He huffed a breath of irritation out before standing up, weighing out the scene before him. He, surprisingly, didn't want to get into a fight. That would only be more paperwork and he loathed doing that as it was. Tan wasn't worth the headache. If he refused though, Jax wasn't sure if he'd have a choice in the matter.
Thankfully, the other male seemed to see reason. Jax watched as Tan rubbed his hands, wondering if a rabbit was going to come out of his rear next. Tanwynn made the world's worst joke and Jax only flipped him off in response before the spell was broken. Jax watched the delivery guy, debating on doing something more to make sure he forgot what the Hades had just happened to him. Unfortunately, he wasn't a kid who could change the mist either and he had a feeling the more space he put between the mortal and Tan, the best everyone would be. Jax made sure the guy was heading away before turning back to his annoying partner for the day.
"My brother has more responsibility on his shoulders than you'll ever have in your entire life so watch what you say about him." Jax leaned back against the tunnel's entrance and watched in boredom as the other boy began offering up illusions. "You sound like the witch in that fairy tale." A smirk was dancing across his lips as he turned his attention to the cars that passed by. Normal mortals with normal problems. They didn't know how lucky they were. There were no monsters knocking their doors down at night. No irritating demigods who they had to deal with during guard duty. He looked back in Tanwynn's direction, the boy's hands raised in the air, a glint of mischief in his eyes. Jax immediately stood rigid. His hand hovering over his weapon, his voice edged with warning, "Tann. Don't. I mean it."
Jax was drinking his hot coffee, taking his sweet precious time getting to the Ludus Magnus. He had stopped off on his way to grab a coffee and a banana from the mess hall. He had eaten the fruit while stopping to chat for a moment with another legionnaire in his cohort. That conversation had lasted a few minutes before he bid his goodbye and headed towards the ring. The day was a good temperature. Not too hot and not too cold. He had a pair of jogging pants on, his pugio strapped to his hip, and was wearing one of his older camp tees that he didn't mind sweating to death in.
It wasn't that he was dreading training of course, the boy loved training. If he couldn't be found around camp, there was a high chance that he'd be in the ring. He just didn't particularly feel like rushing at the moment. The weather was cool, there were lots of new people to pull his attention this way and that. He knew his sister would be just fine waiting a few minutes for him.
When Jax finally did make it to the ring, he was barely a foot away from Claire as she turned sharply, brandishing a spear in his direction. Jax didn't even flinch as the sharp tip of the metal stopped an inch or so away from piercing his body. "That's cute." He replied condescendingly, ignoring the weapon. He instead took another long sip of his coffee before nodding towards her, referencing the armor, "Did you empty the armory?" He smirked, an arrogant grin appearing on his face before continuing, "I know it's intimidating training with a member of the first cohort but I promise I'll go easy on you."
He knew which buttons to push. On his siblings it wasn't too hard to do. The whole lot of them tended to be one small inconvenience away from exploding. Jax didn't apologize for his tardiness. Instead he tilted his head to one side and then another, loosening his shoulders and neck up. He took another long sip from his coffee cup, keeping his eyes on her as his other free hand waved her over to begin her assault.
Jax checked the posted piece of white parchment that was outside of the Praetoria. It was the day's guard rotations and he had been certain that his name was at the top, he just couldn't remember who he had been paired with. His eyes scanned the list, hoping that they had paired him with one of his buddies, knowing full and well in the back of his mind that it was unlikely. The last time he and Sam had been paired together, they had accidentally started a fire in the pool at the bathhouse. It had been a combination of a dare and a challenge and between the two, they had made it happen. Much to the aggravation of the Praetors.
He could still faintly smell the stench of chlorine and smoke. The impatient son of Mars quickly found his name on the list and swore out loud when he read who he had been paired with. He wasn't the biggest fan of Tanwynn. Could he appreciate the beauty of the random pranks? Yes. Did the guy regularly cross the line and more often than not give off the vibe of a wet blanket personified? Also yes. Jax decided to wait until the very last minute before heading to the Tunnel. The less time he forced himself to endure with the other, the better.
He cleared the tunnel's entrance precisely on time and frowned as he saw the other guy already there. He had half been hoping that Tanwynn would have ducked out on the duty. He was in the second cohort after all. The frown quickly turned into a scowl as he saw the situation unfold in front of him. "Let the mortal go Tanwynn." It wasn't a request. Jax didn't exactly put much anger into the words though, more like an irritation of a dog playing with something he shouldn't, the idea that the other would ignore the request never actually popping up in his mind.
Jax walked towards the barrier and grabbed a slice of pizza from the open box, walking back to the entrance of the tunnel. "And wipe his memories. The mortals are already suspicious enough as it is." He sighed in irritation and took a bite of the pizza, the cheesy goodness soothing the irritation.
[AGGRESSIVE] Jax is very much like his Greek brethren when it comes to some of the personality traits that his father passed down. Where most Romans from Mars are more militaristic and calculated, Jax tends to react and charge head first before thinking things through. His natural instinct is to fight, and he has been known to goad people into fights with him just to let some aggression out. He isn't one to sit back and watch things happen nor is he one to sit on the fence. He usually has a solid and clear opinion on things and will fight to the death for those beliefs.[break][break]
[COCKY] Mars, in his Roman form is regarded very highly, second only to Jupiter and Jax tends to flaunt that esteem. He is very confident in his fighting prowess and physical abilities so he has no issue in boasting about it. When it comes to those of the opposite six, he tends to flirt relentlessly and try to charm the pants off of all of them, sometimes literally. He isn't one to play coy or shy, not one to beat around the bush. He tends to call things as they are, whether his opinion is needed or not. [break][break]
[LOUD] The guy loves a loud and active environment. Whether it's the crash of cannons or swords, loud music from a radio or the roar of a battalion charging, he's happy. There's nothing he hates more than silence and he's been known to create loud noises or actions when it's too uncomfortably quiet for him.[break][break]
[IMPATIENT] Waiting has never been his strong suit. The boy is impatient. Waiting for orders? Nah. Waiting for a plan? Nope. Waiting in line for meals? No thanks. It's an unfortunate trait that's gotten him into trouble on a few occasions, but he can't help it. If it's something that demands patience and silence he will fail it every time. If you're looking for a stoic strategist...he is not it. [break][break]
[ROWDY and ROUGH] Have you ever seen those older brothers who think it's their sole job to rough house and horseplay with their younger siblings? That's Jax. He's not one who likes to sit and play checkers, he'd rather wrestle or spar. He enjoys being rough and loud. He tends to avoid people or kids who look breakable because he simply finds it unbearably uncomfortable to be around them. [break][break]
[LOYAL] Jax has a deep loyalty to the legion and his cohort. While he might not be the best soldier at following marching patterns and drills, he has no problems following orders. He would lay down his life without question to New Rome if needed. He only has a few true and close friends who he considers family and he is fiercely loyal to them. [break][break]
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
5 YEARS AT CAMP, CLAIMED
[break][break]
Bridgett Hollin - mother (child of Bacchus) [break] Mars - father (badass god of war)[break][break]
Jax was born and raised in New Rome so there was never a time when he didn't know who he truly was. He was ingrained in the world of being a demigod from the moment he could walk. He had a great life, as far as he was concerned. His mother, a wonderful example of a Bacchus demigod, always had something going on. She threw parties, loved dancing, and meeting new people. Jax could never figure out what exactly his mom found intriguing about his father, the god of war, but he didn't care enough to ask. What kid actually wanted to know that little story? [break][break]
Jax grew up in the town and loved everything about it. He loved racing with the other demigod kids up the hills in the sunshine, safe from monsters. He loved sneaking into the training arenas at Camp Jupiter and watching the older kids as they sparred and trained. He loved going to sleep at night and sometimes hearing the marching of troops as they practiced formations long into the night. When he was ten he was granted permission to volunteer in Camp. Often cleaning the pegasi stalls or armor. He loved his life, but at the age of thirteen he knew he was ready to leave.[break][break]
So leave he did, to Lupa of course. He excelled with the wolf, and received his fair share of scars when he misbehaved. Even the she-wolf couldn't instill calm and patience in the boy. He only stayed a few months, his mother joking about the Wolf throwing him out due to being a headache. [break][break]
He hadn't missed the wolf house, he had been eager to get back home. Eager to finally join the legion he had always dreamed of being a part of. When he finished Probatio he had reference letters as well as his full history of serving Camp Jupiter before even leaving for the Wolf House so he was quickly sorted into the First Cohort. He's been in the legion five years and though he sometimes gives his cohort family a headache he loves them dearly. [break]
[Telumkinesis] Control over weaponry. The son of Mars can manipulate, control or curse any weapon that's in his range. This gift can be used on any number of weaponry, both Roman and Greek. If it's a Greek weapon that's been given from his father's Greek side of Ares, he cannot control or manipulate it at all. If it's a weapon that's been given to a child from their godly parent, he must concentrate very hard on it to do anything and then it just depends on who he's fighting and how close he is to it.[break][break]
[Combat Prowess] Jax, like other children of Mars, is very knowledgeable in all forms of combat and uses of weaponry. He can see a weapon and instantly know how to use it fluently as well as tactical fighting skills.[break][break]
[Odikinesis] Jax can sense anger and aggression in others, but cannot manipulate or control it in any way. This is particularly useful when sensing people hiding behind things who want to stab him, which happens more often than he'd like to admit. [break]
