Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

[attr="class","THREAD2BLCONTENT"] Wynn lazily pointed two fingers at the pizza delivery guy in front of him, swaying them softly to the side as he shifted the illusion around the stranger. He was playing with him, or perhaps it even counted as exercise. It would be a shame if he was to get rusty using his abilities and he didn’t have any malevolent or wicked intend… maybe a little. It was all fun and games to him because what else was he supposed to do while being forced to stand in front of the entrance to the camp with nothing but trees and hills around him.
He never signed up for guard duty. It was pretty much forced on him and everyone else because blabla strange things happening blabla safety blabla must protect camp at all cost. Blablablablabla was all he heard. While he didn’t mind the existence of guard duty he didn’t necessarily want to participate in it. He wasn’t much of a fighter either… more of a lazy bum who only knows how to use his mouth as a possible weapon.
A soft flick of his wrist to the side sent the delivery guy into darkness. Wynn heard him gasp slightly and he dropped the pizza boxes he was holding. Well, pray those weren’t for the praetors. Using this chance he swiftly moved over, picked up one of the pizza boxes off the ground, and walked back to his place at the tunnel entrance.
The brunet started thinking of the sea, for no reason in particular, or maybe the pizza made him think of someplace in Italy, sending the guy into an illusion of it. His hands instantly started flailing on his sides, his throat bobbing as he gasped for air he only thought he needed as he was swimming in an invisible sea only he ( and Wynn ) could see. He took a bite of a slice, pepperoni and cheese, a good combo, and watched the guy flop like a fish. The thought of stopping wandered across his mind but… just five more minutes.
Jax checked the posted piece of white parchment that was outside of the Praetoria. It was the day's guard rotations and he had been certain that his name was at the top, he just couldn't remember who he had been paired with. His eyes scanned the list, hoping that they had paired him with one of his buddies, knowing full and well in the back of his mind that it was unlikely. The last time he and Sam had been paired together, they had accidentally started a fire in the pool at the bathhouse. It had been a combination of a dare and a challenge and between the two, they had made it happen. Much to the aggravation of the Praetors.
He could still faintly smell the stench of chlorine and smoke. The impatient son of Mars quickly found his name on the list and swore out loud when he read who he had been paired with. He wasn't the biggest fan of Tanwynn. Could he appreciate the beauty of the random pranks? Yes. Did the guy regularly cross the line and more often than not give off the vibe of a wet blanket personified? Also yes. Jax decided to wait until the very last minute before heading to the Tunnel. The less time he forced himself to endure with the other, the better.
He cleared the tunnel's entrance precisely on time and frowned as he saw the other guy already there. He had half been hoping that Tanwynn would have ducked out on the duty. He was in the second cohort after all. The frown quickly turned into a scowl as he saw the situation unfold in front of him. "Let the mortal go Tanwynn." It wasn't a request. Jax didn't exactly put much anger into the words though, more like an irritation of a dog playing with something he shouldn't, the idea that the other would ignore the request never actually popping up in his mind.
Jax walked towards the barrier and grabbed a slice of pizza from the open box, walking back to the entrance of the tunnel. "And wipe his memories. The mortals are already suspicious enough as it is." He sighed in irritation and took a bite of the pizza, the cheesy goodness soothing the irritation.
[attr="class","THREAD2BLCONTENT"] Wynn just took another bite of the pizza when he heard a voice interrupt his little play. He rolled his eyes before he even looked at who had joined him. Of course, it had to be Jax. "Oh come on Hollins. Don’t be such a party pooper. Me and my friend, the pizza guy, are just enjoying ourselves. He’s showing me his drowning skills." The son of Nefas said, smirking at the sight of the mortal still clutching his throat. Unfortunately, he knew better than to mess with a son of Mars. Nasty bastards, always willing to pick a fight – and most of the time they win.
When Jax asked him to wipe the mortal's memories he looked at him, eyebrows drew together as a crease in between formed. "What do you think I am? A magician? A child of Trivia? I can't erase his memory, Mr. I'm-the-best. It's not like he would understand what just happened anyway. Might go a little crazy but eh." He dropped the pizza back into the box, rubbed his hands clean on his pants, and then clapped his palms together in an uber dramatic gesture. "Be gone my friend and the fun we had. I hate to see you go so soon. I’d rather see you-," Wynn glanced at Jax for a moment, "-go." Even though he was in the second cohort, just one below the first, which wasn’t even the worst of them all, he struggled to keep up with his duties and romanesque behavior. Fighting? Meh. Having fun? Absolutely. His favorite three F words: fight, fear, force fun, food, flirt.
Watching the delivery guy hold his head in confusion while gasping for air he didn't need, he ultimately got back into his car and was out of their sight in just a few moments.
Picking up his pizza again and biting into it he actually made the effort to face the blond. "You on a mission to strip away all the fun in camp? Gods, you’re just like your brother," Wynn said, rolling his eyes once again, munching on the food. "How about having a little fun? I can make you see whatever you want. A trip to your family? A party with friends? A hanky-panky with your lover?" He then asked, the corners of his lips raising with mischief on his mind. He already had his free hand up, thumb, and middle finger stuck together in a pre-snap.
Jax listened, with only the barest of interest, as Tanwynn replied to his demand. He took another bite of the pizza. The cheesy goodness being the only thing that was currently keeping his irritation at bay. He expected the other male to let the stranger go. It had not been a request. As the boy casually spoke about the man's drowning skills Jax replied, "And I'll let you show me your bleeding skills if you don't do as I say." He lowered the slice in irritation, glancing at the other demigod. All he wanted to do was eat a bite of pizza and get through a few hours of guard duty. Leave it to Tanwynn to make it unnecessarily more complicated.
The other demigod replied about not being able to wipe memories and Jax took another bite, finishing off the pizza. Interest, again, the farthest thing from his mind. "Excuse me for not knowing everything about your bizarre gifts. I thought you had at least one useful thing going for you. My bad." He huffed a breath of irritation out before standing up, weighing out the scene before him. He, surprisingly, didn't want to get into a fight. That would only be more paperwork and he loathed doing that as it was. Tan wasn't worth the headache. If he refused though, Jax wasn't sure if he'd have a choice in the matter.
Thankfully, the other male seemed to see reason. Jax watched as Tan rubbed his hands, wondering if a rabbit was going to come out of his rear next. Tanwynn made the world's worst joke and Jax only flipped him off in response before the spell was broken. Jax watched the delivery guy, debating on doing something more to make sure he forgot what the Hades had just happened to him. Unfortunately, he wasn't a kid who could change the mist either and he had a feeling the more space he put between the mortal and Tan, the best everyone would be. Jax made sure the guy was heading away before turning back to his annoying partner for the day.
"My brother has more responsibility on his shoulders than you'll ever have in your entire life so watch what you say about him." Jax leaned back against the tunnel's entrance and watched in boredom as the other boy began offering up illusions. "You sound like the witch in that fairy tale." A smirk was dancing across his lips as he turned his attention to the cars that passed by. Normal mortals with normal problems. They didn't know how lucky they were. There were no monsters knocking their doors down at night. No irritating demigods who they had to deal with during guard duty. He looked back in Tanwynn's direction, the boy's hands raised in the air, a glint of mischief in his eyes. Jax immediately stood rigid. His hand hovering over his weapon, his voice edged with warning, "Tann. Don't. I mean it."
[attr="class","THREAD2BLCONTENT"] The brunet let out a disgusted shudder and a sound that resembled an ugh. "I’m eating. If we could not mention blood or entrails that’d be great." Wynn grimaced and snickered before taking a bite of his own slice of pizza. The delivery guy disappeared completely out of his sight and the son of Nefas let out a very exaggerated sight. Wynn had never been the type to fit in the legion. He wasn’t necessarily an outsider but he couldn’t care less about all the training. He had cheated his way in, he could hopefully cheat his way out as well. "Is that how you repay me for the pizza?" he asked, shaking his head in a non-serious demeanor.
"What is it with your first cohorters and threatening to maim others?" Wynn muttered, not really asking Jax that question or at least, not really expecting an answer. First Ophelia, who had threatened to run him through with a sword or maybe one of her battle axes, and now Jax. The need to tell them to go get therapy rested on the tip of his tongue but he bit down the urge to say it out loud as it would most likely result in making it all come true.
Wynn instantly rolled his eyes at the whole responsibility on one’s shoulders talk. The Praetors and Centurions had chosen to take on that burden. It was their fault. They brought it upon themselves. "That fairy tale. Geeze, there’s a lot of fairy tales. Please, you gotta be more specific. You however are more like one of those evil stepmothers. A born party pooper."
After facing the son of Mars Wynn looked at him, this time waiting for an answer. He released the finger snap position, a slender hand adorned with a variety of silver rings waving around in the air beside him. With two fingers he pointed at the blond before hovering over his own face. Wynn rarely got to use his ability these days, with the Greeks causing so much chaos. Although, he really should consider using it to his advantage.
Once his hand had reached his chin, a wide grin spread on Wynn’s face. His own face should have changed by now, a rippling effect in the air around it. It hadn’t really changed, but the illusion of it would be real enough to make him look like Jax. At least the face. He honestly wasn’t too keen on taking on the other boy’s bulky body. "How do I look, Hollins?" he teased, short malicious laughter erupting from his throat. Wynn ran a hand through his now light-colored hair, fair eyebrows quirking up as he felt the illusion as if it was real. "You really need a haircut."
Jax finished his slice of pizza much too early. He knew in the back of his mind that he should have savored it. That he should have taken his time eating it because while he did, he was distracted. While he was eating, he didn't have to think about nor make conversation with the boy who stood opposite him.
Alas, he finished the last bite, wiping his now greasy hands absentmindedly on his jeans. He sighed in irritation. The happiness of that last bite now gone and replaced with the annoyance that was Tanwynn. The only thing causing a smirk to come to the blonde boy's lips being the fact that he had managed to gross out the other. "If blood bothers you, you're in the wrong camp." He chuckled to himself before continuing, "Maybe you should ask the Greeks if they'll take you in. They seem a desperate enough lot."
Tann brought up the pizza and Jax gave a sarcastic short laugh. Number one, he would never thank the boy for doing something that was expressly forbidden, especially in the position that their camp currently found themselves in. Second, he considered it payment enough for keeping his mouth shut about the first infraction. Two wrongs may not make a right, but it did sometimes provide pizza. As Tann brought up his first cohort brothers and sisters being violence-prone he smirked. "We didn't get to the top by being nice. It really does sound like you'd be more happier with the Greeks. I'm sure there's some sort of application you can fill out."
Jax still had the grin on his face at the idea of filling out forms and shipping Tan away. Although the Greeks probably would want to return him immediately. On one hand, Tanwynn was extremely annoying, but on another, it did seem like they were more of a tolerant group. Perhaps they would allow him to stay. It was worth a shot. He wondered if he could petition the Praetors. The other boy rolled his eyes at the insinuation of Dareios and his responsibility and Jax took a nice, deep, calming breath. Just a few more hours. He could do it.
He moved his attention back to the road near them. He firmly decided, as Tan prattled on about fairy tales, that he couldn't be a car guy, there just wasn't anything interesting about them. Maybe a monster truck guy. That seemed a little more fun. Who cared about how fast something could go? Not him. Now, how much something could destroy? That seemed like a whole lot more fun. Jax had been thankful for the momentary distraction. At least until he had glanced back over at the other boy to see his da*mnd hand in the air.
All at once, Jax felt a chill run down his spine. His body tensed as he watched the brunette's hand point at him then back at himself. An involuntary twitch of his lips pulled as the air seemed to shimmer and move around the other boy. Jax let his hand move to his spatha, hovering above the hilt.
All at once, he was staring at himself. It wasn't a mirror image though, nothing settling that he could rationalize. Instead it was as if he was looking at a twin. The urge to run the image through with a blade until it went away purring like a cat inside his head. "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'm honored." He kept his voice as neutral and level as he could manage.
The now, much better looking, Tanwynn commented about getting his haircut and Jax had to force his hand not to involuntarily move through his own hair. It very much did not need cutting. Though the other could use a trim. Just not with a pair of scissors. Jax pulled the spatha out slowly from its holder at his hip. "I think you might be right. I've always wanted to see how good I'd look with shorter hair. Think you can hold still?" He flipped the blade in his hands, his body settling into a fighting stance as his feet took one careful step. Like falling in rhythm to a song he could never forget, his feet moving instinctively as he slowly prowled towards the other.
