Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

It was early afternoon and the sky was bright and weather was pretty warm. Claire had asked Jax her half sibling to spar with her. Both being children of Mars it could be a fairly interesting training session. Claire trained hard regardless weather or if she was pushing herself. One of these days she was sure to train to the point of collapsing. She trained to better her skills and be ready for whatever what was going to come her way.
Claire stood waiting for Jax to show. She was dressed in light armor over her usual t-shirt and capris. The light armor allowed her to move more freely and use her swiftness in combat. Heavy armor weighed her down too much. Though the downside was that light armor didn't protect her as much as heavier armor. She made up for it of course with a spear putting distance between her and the opponent. Her dark hair was pulled back into a simple ponytail. At her hip was her dagger close in case she needed it. In her hands she twirled a spear in large circles. She paced slightly as she twirled the spear growing impatient of waiting.
Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching from her side. Turning swiftly in a pivot motion she swung the spear in that direction. Of course she was careful enough to stop a short distance from whoever approached. Her blue gaze locked onto Jax with a smirk dancing on her lips. "Well it's about time you showed up?" she teased lightly. The chances were she was probably early as always. Rarely within reason was she ever late, let alone to training. Training meant far too much to the daughter of Mars to be late.
Jax was drinking his hot coffee, taking his sweet precious time getting to the Ludus Magnus. He had stopped off on his way to grab a coffee and a banana from the mess hall. He had eaten the fruit while stopping to chat for a moment with another legionnaire in his cohort. That conversation had lasted a few minutes before he bid his goodbye and headed towards the ring. The day was a good temperature. Not too hot and not too cold. He had a pair of jogging pants on, his pugio strapped to his hip, and was wearing one of his older camp tees that he didn't mind sweating to death in.
It wasn't that he was dreading training of course, the boy loved training. If he couldn't be found around camp, there was a high chance that he'd be in the ring. He just didn't particularly feel like rushing at the moment. The weather was cool, there were lots of new people to pull his attention this way and that. He knew his sister would be just fine waiting a few minutes for him.
When Jax finally did make it to the ring, he was barely a foot away from Claire as she turned sharply, brandishing a spear in his direction. Jax didn't even flinch as the sharp tip of the metal stopped an inch or so away from piercing his body. "That's cute." He replied condescendingly, ignoring the weapon. He instead took another long sip of his coffee before nodding towards her, referencing the armor, "Did you empty the armory?" He smirked, an arrogant grin appearing on his face before continuing, "I know it's intimidating training with a member of the first cohort but I promise I'll go easy on you."
He knew which buttons to push. On his siblings it wasn't too hard to do. The whole lot of them tended to be one small inconvenience away from exploding. Jax didn't apologize for his tardiness. Instead he tilted his head to one side and then another, loosening his shoulders and neck up. He took another long sip from his coffee cup, keeping his eyes on her as his other free hand waved her over to begin her assault.
Claire's blue eyes watched her brother carefully. Seeing him with the cup of coffee coming to training was a bit amusing. She simply lowered the spear and held it tightly in her grasp. She shook her head before giving him a light shrug. It took a lot to bother her and he certainly didn't bother her. Actually she was used to his remarks at this point. "What were too tired to fight me," motioning at the coffee in his hands with a smirk. As for the armor it does not mean I am scared to fight you. And don't go easy on me because I certainly won't go easy on you" she said.
Claire knew he was arrogant and sometimes could be a real gluteus maximus. Though she was used to it, having dealt with people just like him growing up in foster care. That and as arrogant as he could be she would give 110% in training. She always did. She never expected anyone to go easy on her and she never went easy on them. Third cohort or not she didn't care. Even if he seen himself as better than she was.
Her gaze never left him though in that time. She watched as he wave her on. Him standing there sipping his coffee. She half had the temptation to knock it out of his hands. Of course she wasn't that mean to do that, though it had crossed her mind. She charged him aiming to thrust at him before trying to bring it around and trip him. If that didn't work she would simply leap back and wait to see what he did next. Her blue gaze attempting to analyze his posture and anticipate his next move.
Jax grinned, nodding in appreciation when Claire shot out a little joke of her own. Thick skin. It was yet another thing his family had seemed to have in common. Jax found himself laughing, "No problems there." as if he would go easy on anyone. Sibling or not, he didn't like to hold back. Life didn't hold back on anyone. You couldn't be in the middle of a battlefield and call for a time-out because it was too hard. Life hit you and kept hitting. In his mind, it was in their best interest that he fought as hard as he did with them.
Jax drank the last swallow of his coffee as Claire charged. He dropped the cup as the tip of the spear was thrusted in his direction. He moved quickly, jumping to the right, out of the blade's reach. Claire swung the tip in an arc, for what he assumed was a tactic to knock him off his feet. Instead the blade simply knocked into his leg, giving him a small cut but not even close to knocking him off his balance. "Think Claire. You won't knock someone who's balanced on the ground with a long pole, no matter how sharp it is." He was grinning, the adrenaline slowly waking his system up.
She moved back from him and he kept himself balanced on his feet, centered on the ground. His eyes didn't leave her as he spoke. "Think Claire. You have a spear. Your opponent has a pugio. What's your smartest move?" He could feel the sweat beginning to run down his back already. Her armor would be hotter, making her slower. His hands stayed out and open, ready to deflect her next move. He thought about cursing her weapon just to add another level of fun, but instead wanted to see what she'd come up with. He could always make it worse later.
Claire only glared at him with frustration. If looks could kill certainly this glare would be among those that would. She gripped the spear in her hands. She listened to his words but she only half listened to them. In the meantime she was calculating her next course of action against him. Most because he showed no sign of taking the offensive. "Like I would tell you my next move" she told him.
Claire still had her dagger at her hip but to use it she would have to get closer than normal. It could definitely come in use later. The heat was getting to her but she waved it off. She had dealt with armor on a warmer day than this, and trained in it. Yes it slowed her but no where near as much as heavy armor would have. Circling him carefully she watched his form carefully. She hoped he would break even a little. "What too scared to attack yourself?" she teased lightly. She hoped it would cause him to taunt her back and maybe let his guard down.
If that worked she would move him and strike at his side. And if it didn't she would charge but last minute roll to try and get behind him and strike from behind with her dagger. Dropping the spear just as she rolled. It was probably a terrible idea to drop it but she wasn't exactly defenseless having her dagger with her. Sometimes having multiple weapons came in handy.
Jax could sense the frustration and anger building in his sibling. He couldn't manipulate or control it, but he could feel it just as assuredly as he felt the sun on his back. He grinned in response, purely enjoying the entire event. He centered his feet squarely, the gravel of the ludus crunching under his foot. She scoffed about telling him her next move and he grinned, "We're training Claire, I'm not here to take you out." He looked over her form, his eyes never leaving her as he spoke, "If this was a war game, I promise you wouldn’t have a chance against me." He continued to smirk, all but taunting her. Humility was something this son of Mars was not blessed with. That and graciousness when having lost.
She began circling him and he walked the circle with her, keeping her front and center to himself. His footing remained true. She taunted him right back and he grinned. Smart. She was finally thinking, he mused, getting her opponent to charge her was one of the few moves she could strategically do with such an awkward weapon as a spear. He had never bothered training with them. He watched her tense a moment before he launched into action.
Jax charged, intent on avoiding the spear's tip as she lunged at him. He dropped into a slide, but hadn't been fast enough. Before he could use his head and charm the thing to waver or perhaps simply fall off of the wooden pole that it was built on, it split through his shirt. The tip of the spear lanced a cut to his shoulder but he didn't slow down. The pain was there of course, but barely worth noting, at least not in the moment. Going into a slide he aimed for her legs, intent on knocking them out from under her. If he could get her on the ground it would be a grappling match between the two. It had been ages since his last hand-to-hand in the dirt and he was itching for another one.
Claire gave a simple shake of her head holding her ground for the moment. Her blue eyes locked on him as she kept a sturdy stance. "But telling you gives you the upper hand...besides if you believe you are so good I shouldn't have to tell you my next move. Or was that all a lie" she teased back. Claire rolled her shoulders carefully. If he wanted to play that game of taunting she could play it too. Claire was stubborn much like many of her half siblings. But despite frustration and anger she knew how to keep her cool. Unlike some of the others she knew.
Claire had more than just the spear. If she needed she could simply ditch it for the smaller knife. After her charge she turned back quickly with a simple pivot. Clearly her taunting had gotten him to attack. She may have been smaller than him but what she lacked in size advantage she made up for her quick footing. She had turned in time to watch him make an attempt to slide and knock her feet out from under her. She had made an attempt to jump to the side though he did cause her to stumble slightly. She was quick to regain her footing.
She knew best than give him much time for recovery. Ditching the spear she drew her knife that was at her side. When in doubt strike when he was getting back up. Much of an attempt to mock his own slide she ran at him and then gave a similar attempt to slide into him. Surely if he wanted to wrestle she needed to think quick. If he got her on the ground he would have the advantage over her, purely because of size.
Claire didn't plan to give up until it was over one way or another. Win or lose she would still learn a valuable lesson.
Jax watched as she shook her head, taunting him right back. "I guess we'll just have to see." He continued to grin. His body was warmed up now, adrenaline and whatever pure form of power that ran through his blood from his father's heritage singing in his veins. It was strategically sound to goade her into charging him, but gods he hated the waiting game. He had never been good at it. He wasn't the one to call on when you needed to demonstrate patience and serenity. He was the one you called in to charge front and center into the thick of things.
A move that he decided to go with in the training ring with her. He was sure she was about to be knocked on the ground. She had done a spin and he was certain his feet were going to take her out, but he hadn't been quick enough. She found her footing after a short stumble and Jax rolled to his left, immediately standing back up. "Nice." The compliment coming out as a grin of pure amusement lit up his face.
He knew she had other weapons on her and he also knew better than to remain in a vulnerable position on his back with her on her feet. That would have been an immediate defeat. She could have easily impaled him with the spear or delivered a blow with her body that would have him waving the white flag. He rose in time to find Claire mimicking his move and charging, her body dropping into a slide.
Jax let his full weight drop on her, meeting her forward motion solidly, his elbow going for her ribs though he knew more than likely it would get deflected by her armor. He felt the area around the cut on his shoulder begin to get warm and he knew he had more than likely opened it further. He didn't pay much mind to it as he began wrestling his legs against hers, trying to keep her on the ground. "That was stupid." He was larger than her and with her angle, coming in towards him, he was already practically on top of her. She would have to do something quick to get out of his grasp.
A light curse escaped her when he dropped down on top of her. Maybe it hadn't have been the smartest idea. In the moment it had seemed like a good idea to get him on the ground again but clearly it hadn't worked. Though she was glad she had armor. His blow to her ribs would have certainly led to her ultimate loss in the fight. But she was still at a disadvantage. He was larger than she was. Though she still had her dagger in hand. "Maybe it was..." she said sounding defeated. Hopefully it would be enough to let his guard down thinking he had one. Certainly by now he thought he had one.
Claire needed to think carefully though if she was still going to stand a chance. She gripped her dagger and as they wrestled she tried to use her knee to hit him and at least create some sort of opening. In the meantime she attempted to bring her hand up and hit him in the face. It was a bold move being at a disadvantage but she had to try something.
Claire had no intention of giving in so easily to him now. She didn't give up until it was over. Hopefully one of her tactics would be enough to give her an edge. Even if it was the smallest chance she had to take it. She was still armed so it counted for something. he had to know that she wasn't going to give in so easily.
Jax had landed solidly on Claire. From an outsider's perspective it might have looked cruel or an action gone too far but he knew better. The armor had absorbed most of the blow, that's what it was made for. And more importantly, of course, she was his half-sibling. He knew she was made of tougher stuff that most of the legionnaires around them. She admitted that it hadn't been the smartest idea and Jax found himself chuckling. Her voice sounded almost defeated and he hoped she wasn't ready to throw in the towel already. That would have been a waste of his energy. Not to mention the scraped elbow and knees he knew he now had. He hadn't needed to worry though.
Claire continued to summon the will to fight. Jax noticed the flash of the blade that she had a firm grip on. Exactly the kind of grip that one would need if they were to stab someone. If he had been the one with the blade he would have had no issues piercing, albeit gently, the other person. He kept the blade in the forefront of his mind as the two began wrestling for control.
Claire angled her knee to strike him and Jax moved to deflect the blow with his palm. His body angled close to hers, effectively stopping the blow. The hit reverberating through his upper arm and elbow. The shoulder that he had gotten lanced by the spear singed out in pain, but none of that was on his mind. Mainly because as soon as he had blocked the blow, Claire's hand came up, the base of her palm cracking against his nose.
Jax swore, not so quietly, and immediately dropped off of her, rolling to his back. The blood was draining from the wound quickly and he rolled to his side before carefully sitting up. It was broke, there was no doubt about it. Jax gingerly touched the area before dropping his hands and carefully taking off his shirt. Jax gingerly touched the balled up fabric to his nose to help stop some of the bleeding. He then looked over at Claire, a grin on his face. "Nice work." Next stop: Infirmary.
Claire had figured the moment he had her on the ground that was what he was going to do. It was certainly given due to the size advantage. She could certainly take a hit as she had taken a few blows without armor, though most times they could leave a few bruises. It made her even more grateful however to be wearing armor. And here he thought it was silly. Certainly without it the fight would have all but been over with by now. A blow to her stomach would certainly have the wind knocked out of her lungs. Though when he seemed to fall for her little defeated act she only smirked slyly as she wrestled with him.
Claire was often the type to fight until either she couldn't get back up or she won. Despite it being training she always had that mentality. She never wanted to be a loser and certainly neither did Jax. When her strike with her knee failed she only fought harder. She was determined more than ever to beat him. He claimed she couldn't and she wanted to prove him wrong. She was sure if she tallied her wins and losses against him there were more losses. Just because she was fourth cohort didn't mean she couldn't beat him. Maybe there was less of a chance but certainly not impossible.
She knew the moment she hit him that she had broken his nose. Though she hadn't intended to him him that hard, simple enough to gain the upper hand and hopefully free herself from him. The moment her rolled off and sat up she got up. Of course it wasn't like her didn't deserve it sometimes for being an arrogant gluteus maximus, not that she would ever say it loud. Maybe if they were lucky it would knock him down a peg or two.
Though in the end he was still her half sibling. "You almost had me there" she said. She extended her hand to offer him a hand up off the ground. She didn't mind helping him to the infirmary. After all it was her fault his nose was broken. She was sure he would get her back for that eventually. "I can walk with you to the infirmary if you would like, don't need you passing out or anything on your way there" she said. Though slightly teasing her words were genuine. Though spars between them could be rough and he could be a gluteus maximus she still cared, she wasn't heartless.
