Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] After Evan learned who his father was, he spent many nights scouring books for information about his father. He never imagined himself being much of a reader, but Camp Half-Blood offered an array of books in Greek and he found the words came to him almost effortlessly. He consumed every fact he could, desperate to learn more about the king of Olympus. He already knew a few things - like, the lightning bolt was Zeus' symbol and he had a wife named Hera.
What he didn't know and would soon learn, though, was that another one of Zeus' symbols is an eagle, and even immortal beings have relationships wrought with a constant cycle of pain and love. Relationships were the furthest thing from his mind at that time, but he did develop an interest in eagles. He felt America did something right choosing the eagle to represent freedom and liberty. They were birds of prey, predestined kings of the sky; what better symbol could the god of the sky have?
Upon arriving at Camp Jupiter, Evan felt thrilled to learn that they had an aviary containing four real eagles, just hanging out in this giant, ornate building for you to hang out with. He had seen an eagle once or two before as a child, at the zoo with his mom on one of her rare days off, but never in such an intimate setting.
What nobody told him, however, was that these were no ordinary eagles - they were huge. Large enough to carry a demigod in its talons or on its back, and scary enough to make one pee their pants when it squawks.
Maybe that had just been him.
He quickly grew accustomed to their large size, though, and would spend a few minutes every few days hanging out with the magnificent creatures, still giving plenty of space. He wasn't eager to ruffle their figures, literally or metaphorically. He would be lying if he said he wasn't hoping that his father's blood wouldn't have had some sway in the eagles immediately liking him - these eagles did not care.
With his chores done, Evan decided it would be a good day to head to the aviary. He made a mental note to ask someone if they could feed the eagles; perhaps that would entice them. As he walked, he enjoyed the architecture of Camp Jupiter. He would never let the words leave his mouth, but this camp almost made Camp Half-Blood look like a children's camp. Everything was ornate and beautiful, almost bordering on excessive, but the design never lost the concept of function.
Evan followed his usual path through the massive aviary, unimpressed with the other offerings. They were pretty and cool, yeah, but they weren't what he came for. As he approached the door, he frowned - it was locked. Why would it be locked at this hour? Frankly, he wasn't sure why the four giant birds needed a lock to their enclosure in the first place, but he had quickly learned to not question the way the Romans did things, especially not in their own home. He looked around, but he was alone.
Should he ask for permission? He considered his options for a moment before deciding to just unlock the door. Entering the enclosure, Evan saw a girl he recognized as a fellow Greek camper (though he couldn't remember her name or anything else about her, really). She looked terrified as the eagles stared at her with their piercing eyes. One shrieked as the door closed behind Evan, causing him to jump.
"Did you mean to lock the door behind you?" He flashed her a wide grin, wanting to appear friendly despite his initial fright. "And don't worry about them, they're harmless I think. They're more loud than they are interested in devouring demigods." He waved at the birds, wanting to appear reassuring - and maybe he wanted to reassure himself a bit too. One outstretched its wings and fluffed its massive feathers - Evan was unsure if the it meant to intimidate or welcome him, but he persevered.
"I'm Evan, leader of the Zeus cabin. Eagles are kind of my thing." He laughed, the sound setting off another loud squawk from one of the eagles. He hoped she didn't notice that he had flinched, but that seemed unlikely.
Evan is a natural leader. Not a perfect one of course, but it truly does come naturally to him. He feels most alive when he is leading others, ideally leading them to a victory. Like many natural leaders, he can be quite persuasive - sparks of charisma and confidence fuel this. He follows his intuition when making decisions, not his intelligence or physical strength; he trusts his instincts and gut feelings.[break][break]
He expresses a high level of perception, and he is always eager to have a higher understanding of something when learning. Though Evan values traditions, his leadership style could be described as inventive. He isn't afraid to go against the grain, not when his gut says he's making the right decision. He is resolute if nothing else.[break][break]
Evan strongly values the connections he makes with others. He genuinely cares for those around him, though his good intentions can often be overbearing. He is intensely protective of his loved ones and loyal to a fault; he will go to the ends of the Earth to defend one of his. His personality is intense at times, but on a surface level before guards are let down, he is an affable guy that gets along well with most.[break][break]
Once guards have been let down, Evan is quickly revealed to be an egotistical individual that's envious of others despite having had many things in life handed to him. His confidence lends to him being a stubborn individual, as he struggles to accept that he could be wrong or acting like a hypocrite. Evan largely takes after his father in regards to his personality, positively and negatively.[break][break]
Evan has a temper that is quick to ignite, something that pushes him to recoil deeper into his convictions when they are challenged. It also contributes to him being impulsive, a character trait that has gotten him into many sticky situations. His temper can also be flared when his quixotic natured is not satisfied; that is, when his exceedingly idealistic plans don't come into fruition as he had expected.[break][break]
He can easily become fixated on things, sometimes losing sight of the bigger picture in the process. To top it all off, the same tongue that Evan uses to charm others is also used to deceive; it's often just little white lies to bolster his reputation or to convince others to go along with his plans, but the potential for worse is there.[break][break]

Overview
[break] Evan Tate Brooks was born in Greenwich, Connecticut to Juliette Brooks, a 36-year-old meteorologist, and Zeus, the immortal Greek god of the sky. He was sent to Camp Half-Blood when he was 8 years old, as his demigod scent had started to attract large amounts of monsters, and he dedicated 11 years of his life to the camp, culminating in him becoming a cabin leader. Evan was claimed within his first week there, a holographic lightning bolt appearing over his head during one particularly rambunctious storm.[break][break]
A Deeper Look
[break] A little over two decades ago, Juliette Brooks met a man that captivated her from the start. He was tall and imposing, with stern eyes and a proud, handsome face. It felt electric when they were together; she couldn't get enough of the man and he seemingly couldn't get enough of her. He wouldn't divulge much about himself - just that his name was Daniel, he was from New York City, and he was in Greenwich, Connecticut for business purposes on occasion. Honestly, Juliette wasn't fussed over the details. Casual involvement with the man suited her just fine. She had just gotten herself established as a local meteorologist and was doing well for herself independently.[break][break]
Approximately one year after Juliette began seeing Daniel, she learned that she was pregnant. She wasn't thrilled by the news, knowing that Daniel was unlikely to stick around. He had said as much during one of their nightly encounters. And she was right - once Daniel learned of her pregnancy, his business trips to Greenwich ceased without a word and she didn't hear from him again, not for some time and not in any way she could put into words.[break][break]
Juliette named her newborn baby Evan Tate - after her grandfather and father respectively - and together the two of them formed the Brooks family. She was fortunate to be established enough in her career that she made a comfortable salary, though it was still modest for Greenwich standards. They shared a cramped one bedroom apartment until Evan was six. They then moved in with Matthew, Juliette's boyfriend of two years, as he owned a three bedroom home with a yard in a nice Greenwich suburb. By this point, Evan had already started to show weak signs of some of his abilities and in turn monsters and chaos had begun to follow.[break][break]
When Evan was nearly eight years old, he was sent to a special school for troubled youth per recommendation of Matthew. Juliette was hesitant initially, but grew on the idea after having a peculiar dream one night. It was there that a satyr from Camp Half-Blood smelled him and learned why trouble had been running amuck. After a visit to the family home - in which Evan's satyr was disguised by the Mist to appear as an ambassador for the school, though it seemed as if Juliette was on the cusp of seeing through it - they determined that Evan would transfer to the Long Island branch of the school in New York... Which, in reality, was Camp Half-Blood.[break][break]
The news that his father wasn't a traveling businessman, but rather a literal god, bothered him at first, especially because he didn't know which god had sired him. It felt like his entire reality had fallen apart in such a short amount of time. His trepidation vanished into excitement and genuine pride when Zeus laid claim to him his first week at camp. He had been roaming the camp grounds, enjoying a harsh thunderstorm that rattled the Earth, when he felt a bolt of electricity surge all throughout his body. It felt like every neuron in his brain had fired off at once. Once the initial shock wore off, Evan ran to find one of his new friends friend and they met him with several loud gasps; a large lightning bolt floated above his head, undoubtedly the claim of Zeus.[break][break]
Zeus was his father.[break][break]
Evan thrived at Camp Half-Blood and dedicated himself to cultivating his abilities and survival ability. It had been drilled into him since the moment he first came to camp: as a rule, demigods do not typically have long lives and being the rare exception to that rule meant wholehearted dedication for however long you lived. He formed strong connections with many of his fellow campers and jumped at any opportunity to prove himself as a leader to them. Becoming cabin leader was a moment of immense pride and joy, as he had yearned for the opportunity to represent his father for many years. Evan only lead one formal quest before Camp Half-Blood burned down.[break][break]
Though he sorely misses Camp Half-Blood, Evan can't say that he hates the Roman camp. It's at least not the worst place to be for the time being, despite the underlying tones of hostility and fear of the unknown from both sides. He appreciates the Roman's disciplined, prideful approach to their lives and legacies. He does think they could stand to lighten up a bit, but he understands why they are so militaristic in every aspect of life.[break][break]
The thought of returning to the mortal world does not appeal to him, not that it was ever really a possibility for him. His mother and Matthew - now technically his stepfather - are under the pretense that he has seasonal jobs throughout the year which make it exceedingly difficult for him to plan a visit, still unaware of his true reality. Evan isn't sure it would do any good to tell his mom about Zeus and Matthew would never believe him in a million years anyways.
[break]Juliette Brooks would often use storms to soothe young Evan. The howling of the wind calmed him, as did the thunderous claps of thunder and increased atmospheric pressure. He favors the storm and cloud manipulation aspect of this ability; he struggles to manipulate wind and air, rendering him flightless unlike some users of aerokinesis. Evan finds this ability to be more draining than his electrokinesis and likens the feeling to a rechargeable battery - you've only got so much juice before you have to recharge.[break][break]
Can encourage thunder storms to form; cannot force any inclement weather
Generates and controls clouds with relative ease; enjoys funny cloud formations
Can increase/decrease atmospheric pressure with intense concentration
Can generate small, weak gusts of wind; cannot use this ability to fly
[break]
Electrokinesis
[break]Most kids would yelp if they stuck their finger into an electrical socket: Evan merely giggled and did it again and again, much to his mother's horror. She always had to be cautious touching him, especially if he were riled up, lest she be shocked. It wouldn't be until later that he would learn to summon and control the electricity around him. Evan finds this ability more exciting than his aerokinesis, though it is still draining.[break][break]
Can emit static electricity from his body; sometimes this happens unwillingly
Extreme resistance to electricity; can transfer it onto others (avoids shared pools)
Can generate bolts/balls of lightning; strength correlates with energy level
Able to conduct electricity into weapons; strength correlates with energy level
Avoids electronics; has a tendency to unintentionally fry their internals
[break]
Enhanced Leadership
[break]Evan has always strongly believed that he was destined to be a leader. Just like his father, as he would eventually learn. He feels that he possesses the right qualities for a strong leader, one that is unwavering in their efforts and loyalty. Evan's confidence in his leadership abilities isn't totally unfounded; he does have an innate knack for it thanks to his paternal blood. However, a natural inclination for something doesn't mean you can let your flaws go unchecked, which is something that Evan must learn to watch for.
