Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

Humans were social creatures, of course demigods were only half human. Yet judging by the number of demigods running around camp, the Gods were pretty social too. Everyone needed someone they could spend time with. Sienna didn’t quite buy the whole lone wolf act. Sure even a social butterfly like Sienna needed occasional alone time, but she couldn’t quite believe that anyone truly wanted to be alone in life.
No, Sienna was pretty sure Alessia didn’t really want to be alone. Sure Alessia had become mean and difficult to deal with, honestly Sienna wasn’t sure that part of her was going to change. Alessia had lost the one person on this earth that she loved the most. It was clear that Alesia’s anger was very real. But, on some level Sienna was pretty sure that Alessia kept people from getting close to her because she was afraid of loosing them.
Of course she couldn’t tell that to Alessia. It was fun to push her buttons and piss her off a little bit, but Sienna wasn’t ready to face death by electrocution. No, a criticism that deep and serious, wasn’t meant to be told to you by an ex.
Alessia was talking about the Romans not appreciating her. ”No, don’t be ridiculous. They are all about being angry and stabbing things, you would fit right in with them. I’m surprised they haven’t already recruited you into one of their fighting club thingies.” Sienna was only half joking.
Since coming to Camp Jupiter Sienna had to admit she felt unwelcome here. Sienna had assumed it was because she didn’t exactly fit into their military society, but maybe it went beyond that. It was a safe assumption that Alessia hadn’t been exactly friendly towards the folks from Camp Jupiter, but still it seemed odd that a group so obsessed with fighting wouldn’t welcome such a strong demigod.
”I don’t get the mistrust thing. I mean aren’t we technically brothers and sisters. I mean I’m still not sure how the whole two aspects of one God thing works out. But there are children of ...” she paused for a moment searching for the Roman name. “Jupiter. Right? We are still all part of the weird Olympian family tree. Shouldn’t they want to help us out?”
If the situation had been reversed Sienna would have welcomed the people from Camp Jupiter with open arms. What sort of evil plan did the Romans think the Greeks were plotting anyway?
”I mean, we’re just here trying to survive. What purpose could we possibly have in coming here beyond finding a safe place to stay?

”I mean, you are kind of putting out those I’ll murder anyone who sits next to me vibes.” Sienna admitted. ”But, I kinda feel like no one from Camp Halfblood should be alone right now.”
Wanting to be alone and needing to be alone we’re two separate things. Humans were social creatures, everyone needed company once in a while. The transition from Camp Halfblood to Camp Jupiter hadn’t been easy for anyone. Loosing a sense of home and safety in such a brutal manner was traumatic. Alessia had already suffered through a great trauma before the fall of Camp Halfblood. In Sienna’s opinion, Alessia hadn’t handled the trauma of loosing a sister very well.
Sitting near her now it was hard to see any glimpses of the girl she used to love. Alessia had been changed so completely by her grief and anger it was like she was a whole new person now. Admittedly Sienna had avoided being too close to her, but she still couldn’t remember the last time she saw a real smile from Alessia.
Whatever issues Alessia had were well beyond Siennas ability to help, that’s why she had left in the first place. Alessia put out some seriously negative energy, and Sienna didn’t like to be around people like that. Alessia had basically growled a sarcastic answer about Camp Jupiter being splendid.
Sienna raised an eyebrow ”Yeah, you seem like you are having a great time so far.” okay this was not the time for sarcasm she was here to play nice and gently annoy her ex not antagonize her. ”You were always really good at the fighting stuff. The Romans seem like they would appreciate having someone with your strengths around.”
It was a gamble. She wasn’t sure if the Romans were really being welcoming any of the Greeks. Still if they were to welcome anyone into their military ranks it would probably be someone like Alessia. The daughter of Zeus had strong and dangerous powers, even if she couldn’t zap people with lightning she was a skilled fighter. Maybe the Romans were being a little kinder to the people who would be an asset in a fight.
Sienna was a definitely a lover not a fighter. She knew her pacifist ways would not be accepted by the Romans, and she didn’t want to change her values just for the sake of fitting in. Still it would be good to know if the Romans were willing to accept the Greeks that were natural fighters.

Sienna loved to sunbathe, but she didn’t like tan lines. Obviously in a camp situation it impossible to find a place where she could sunbathe fully nude, but she could still find some ways to work around this. She chose a quiet spot near the lake away from the beach that didn’t have a lot of people on it. Sienna took off her t shirt and shorts revealing a tie dyed bikini. She laid out in the grass and when it was time to roll over and tan her back she discreetly took off her bikini top and placed it next to her. If anyone walked by all they would see is a bare back. Nothing scandalous about seeing that. It was more comfortable for her and she wouldn’t have to worry about the dreaded stripes of tan lines across her back.
Sienna enjoyed a nice relaxing nap in the sun, and everything was great till she woke up. She had put her top right next to her on the ground, but for some reason she wasn’t seeing it. Sienna lifted her head and looked to the other side of her, nothing was there either. Like much of her wardrobe her bikini was very brightly colored and should have been easy to spot. It wasn’t windy today it wasn’t like her bikini top could have just flown away. What had happened to it?
Sienna frowned as she wrapped an arm around herself and got into a sitting position. She looked around in disbelief as she realized that not only was her bikini top was nowhere to be seen, her t-shirt and shorts were missing too. Someone must have stolen them while she was sleeping. Sienna let out a curse.
Apparently someone thought it would be hilarious to make her walk clear across Camp Jupiter in nothing but her bikini bottoms and flip flops. ”Very funny” she called out clearly annoyed. Hoping that the culprit would reappear with her clothes once she called. She looked around but didn’t see anyone coming forward, she didn’t hear any laughter either. Sienna stood up with her arms wrapped firmly around her chest. ”Its a cute prank. But you can come out now and give me back my clothes now.” much to her disappointment no one came forward, and there was no sign of her clothing anywhere nearby.
Whoever did this wanted her to be embarrassed or ashamed. She determined not to give them that satisfaction. The human body was nothing to be ashamed of, and Sienna was pretty confident in her own skin. The best thing she could do right now was act like this didn’t bother her. Sienna slid on her flip flops and started on her long walk back to the Greek barracks. Sienna kept her head held high and her arms wrapped firmly around her chest. As she walked around the side of the lake she considered that from a distance it was possible no one would notice. She had long hair that was still half orange and half purple it went down to the middle of her back. If you saw her maybe you would just think she had forgotten a towel and was cold.
Okay that was borderline delusional. Sienna was very obviously a half naked woman desperately holding on to keep herself from flashing the general public. Still she tried to remain calm, she had nothing to be ashamed of and she wouldn’t let some prankster to make her feel bad about herself. She repeated that like a mantra.
Hopefully she wouldn’t run into too many people. The Romans were probably off stabbing targets and marching around in circles or something. They had better things to do than prank a random Greek demigod didn’t they? Maybe she would run into someone nice. Maybe she could find a person who was willing to give her a towel or something. She was approaching the beach of the lake where there were bound to be a few people. Sienna kept her head high and did her best to act like nothing was wrong.

Yeah, we’ve totally got this.” Sienna agreed. Ultimately flowers were pretty and putting an arrangement on each table would go a long way to dress up the space. It didn’t matter if the arrangements looked professional or were perfect, they didn’t need to be.
Sienna didn’t usually get like this. She had never been a perfectionist, honestly with a lot of things she was comfortable putting in the bare minimum. Things had been different once she got to Camp Jupiter. There had been this need to prove that she and all the other Greeks deserved to be here, a need to do what she could to bring some joy and comfort to the other survivors of Camp Halfblood. Maybe it was the way the Roman campers tended to act superior, maybe it was the way so many Greeks including herself looked lost. As much as it hurt to admit Camp Halfblood was gone, and she had to find a way to make a home in Camp Jupiter. Sienna hoped that the Camp Olympics would go a long way to uniting the camps. And yes, logically she knew that making the mess hall more festive didn’t have the power to bridge the divide between the Greeks and Romans, but it was the only way she knew how to help.
She was glad to hear that Aurora had some gossip for her. Already some inter camp romances had started. ”Thats good news. That’s a step towards us getting along, acting like one camp instead of two.” Sienna paused as she was arranging purple roses and orange tulips together in a jar and looked up at Aurora with a certain glint of mischief in her eyes. ”Maybe I need to start my own outreach program to help create love and affection between the two camps. Have you seen how ripped some of those Roman boys are?”
Sienna had a bit of a reputation in Camp Halfblood for the amount of people she had dated. She didn’t mind. Sienna loved flirting, and romance, and physical affection; she wouldn’t let anyone shame her for it. The only God that believed in monogamy was Hera, why was it such a strange idea that the children of the Gods might not want to be tied to one person?
Of course Sienna didn’t judge people who wanted to be with just one person. From the way Aurora said the name Kaiden and shyly refused to look up at her, Sienna could guess that Kaiden was one person Aurora wanted to be with. ”So, tell me more about this Kaiden fellow.
[attr="class","THREAD1TAG"] WORDS (optional) @user
Sienna couldn’t help but give a smirk at the comment about Aurora not being involved with any of the combat stuff. A number of the people who she had convinced to help out today were lovers and not fighters. The people competing were the ones who were going to get praise and laurel wreaths, the people decorating were the ones who would be having all the fun.
Aurora complimented the color scheme. “Thank you! I wanted to make this all about unity between Camp Jupiter and Camp Halfblood. You know purple and orange aren’t the easiest colors to make work, but I think I found a balance.” She commented looking around and admiring the garlands and banners that had begun to be put up. Maybe she was being overly optimistic, but she was really hoping that this event could be a first step in unifying the two camps.
Aurora asked about the centerpieces. To be honest she wasn’t entirely sure herself. She had asked for orange and purple flowers and she got a wide variety in a bunch of different shades. Roses, tulips, tiger lillies, daisies, and a bunch of flowers she didn’t even know the names of.”So I’m thinking we don’t try to make them uniform or anything. Just make sure we have some orange and some purple in each arrangement, and we cut them so they aren’t sticking too far above the tops of the jars.” Sienna shrugged ”I don’t know what I’m doing. But. with my eye for color, and your eye for beauty I think we can figure this out and make something that looks good. Right?”
Sienna reached into a bucket and pulled out a huge purple hydrangea. She looked around and found a bunch of small orange flowers to surround it without the stems and put the arrangement in a jar. She spun it around and added a few more small orange flowers forming a ring around the hydrangea. Probably not her best work but it would do for now, she could always go back and rearrange things later. She put the arrangement aside and grabbed another jar.
”So what’s new with you. Any juicy gossip from around the camp.” Aphrodite kids were always good for some news about what was going on around camp.
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] To an artist there was nothing quite as intimidating as a blank canvas. As Sienna looked down at the lantern in her hands she saw a blank space that seemed impossible to fill. You were supposed to write down the name of a loved one you had lost or write a letter to the people you could never speak to again. Sienna hesitated with her sharpie over the paper lantern unable to work up the nerve to write anything at all. When Camp Halfblood fell she ran, and she ran without looking back. She couldn’t say for sure if many of the people she loved were alive or dead. Sienna found herself afraid to write down a name in case that person was still out there somewhere.
She couldn’t tell if she would feel better or worse if she knew for certain who could be counted among the dead. What she did know for sure was that she needed a hug right now. Ideally she would have gone to the lantern ceremony with someone. Having someone’s arms around her would have brought her comfort and keep her grounded. Seeing all of the lanterns float away was going to be heartbreakingly beautiful and she couldn’t help but wish she had someone to share it with right now.
It occurred to Sienna that she couldn’t be the only one who was feeling this way. How many people from Camp Halfblood were currently missing their closest friends? Maybe she didn’t have that special partner to comfort her right now, but she could help comfort others. With her decision made she wrote ‘Free Hugs’ in big letters across her folded up lantern.
Sienna walked to the place where everyone was entering and stood there proudly offering her sign. She operate with two rules. First off she would hug anyone who came to her, no questions asked no hesitation given. Second she would be giving real hugs not halfhearted double back pats. Third whoever came to her for a hug would let go first, she would hug a person for as long as they needed without judgement.
Her mission firmly decided upon, she held her sign up high where it would be easy to see. She waited to see who would come to her for a hug.

There was no doubt that the Roman camp was impressive. Training in units as a military force made them all formidable fighters. The Romans clearly took pride in showing how organized and capable they were. Sienna couldn’t really argue with that, maybe Romans were better fighters than the Greeks. But, there was more to life than fighting. Sienna wanted to show everyone that the Greeks knew how to party.
The Olympics had been started in Greece as away for people to come together and have good natured competition. An event like this to help unify the camps was exactly what they needed right now. Sienna had briefly considered joining in the races, but had decided that dedicating her time to making this a epic party was a better use of her time.
First order of business of course was setting a color scheme. Camp Halfblood was orange and Camp Jupiter was purple. Those were two colors that were difficult to bring together, but it was a task worthy of a child of Iris. She had chosen shades of orange and purple different than the official camp colors but worked well together, she had also added some pink to help tie things together.
In a show of dedication to the theme she had died one side of her hair purple and the other side orange, currently it was arranged into French braid pigtails. There was a lot of work to be done to prepare for the feast. Had she been overly ambitious in her plans, yes. Still she wanted this to be really special and make everyone feel happy.
Sienna had begged and flirted her way into getting as many people as possible involved in helping out. Making garlands of different colored dots, finding and dying tablecloths, hanging decorations on the walls, everything she could think of to bring the mess hall to life.
Sienna had managed to find a few children of Demeter and a child of Flora to help get her flowers for centerpieces. Sienna sat on the floor of the mess hall surrounded by buckets of flowers and mason jars. She looked up and noticed her new friend Aurora arriving. ”Hey, I’m glad you could make it.” she said genuinely happy for any extra help she got. ”Wanna help me with the centerpieces?” she asked. This would be a great job for the daughter of Aphrodite. Not only was Sienna positive that she could handle arranging flowers, they would be sitting together for a while which would give them a chance to catch up and gossip while they sat and worked.
On TV they always made a big deal out of selecting which clique you sit with in the cafeteria. Sienna had always been the type to jump from group to group, but this instinct had been amplified her arrival at Camp Jupiter. If you were a Greek, even if you had never spoken before, there was a strong chance that Sienna would sit next to you and strike up a conversation. The transition to Camp Jupiter had been a difficult one, and new refugees from Camp Halfblood were arriving every day. Sienna wanted to do her part to be welcoming and make sure her fellow Greeks were okay.
Usually if she saw someone sitting alone she would just plop down next to them and strike up a conversation. The person she saw sitting alone gave her a moments pause. There had been a time when Sienna couldn’t get enough of spending time with Alessia; but was a long time ago, and Alessia had been a very different person back then. Sienna understood immediately why no one was currently sitting next to Alessia, she did not appear to be in a good mood.
In that moment Sienna realized that she had two conflicting impulses. 1. Though she no longer had any romantic feelings towards Alessia, she did still care about her well-being. Checking in and seeing how she was doing was the right thing to do. 2. Sitting down with Alessia was undoubtedly going to annoy her. Few things in life gave Sienna as much enjoyment as pissing someone off by being overly sweet and friendly.
Sienna too keep seat right next to Alessia, and was treated to a grumpy response. ”I saw you eating alone, thought you might need some company.” Sienna settled herself and stabbed a piece of tofu with her fork. ”So, how has Camp Jupiter been treating you so far?”
It would be a small miracle if Sienna made it through the meal without getting electrocuted. Still this was going to be fun, and Alessia probably could use someone to talk to.
”Have you had any bad run ins with the Romans?” she asked Sienna hated to be judgmental but what she had seen so far of Camp Jupiter had been concerning. Camp Jupiter was structured into a strict hierarchy of ranks. The Greeks didn’t fit neatly into the military system of Camp Jupiter, and Sienna couldn’t help but think the Romans were threatened by that.
If the situations had been reversed and Camp Jupiter had been destroyed Sienna liked to think the new campers would have been welcomed at Camp Halfblood with open arms. At best the Romans seemed suspicious of the newcomers, at worst they seemed like bullies eager to prove their superiority in one form or another. Sienna was not going to stand for any of her fellow Greeks getting bullied and wanted to keep tabs on what was happening around camp.
Realistically there wasn’t a whole lot she could do to stand up to the Romans besides make a statement with her art. Frankly, Sienna had never been very realistic when it came to challenging people she didn’t like. She was bound to get herself into serious trouble with the Romans and the mural was just going to be the start of it.
Aurora said she wasn’t very good at art. ”Everybody’s got to start somewhere.” she replied with a shrug. ”You get better with practice. But don’t worry, plenty of easy color in the lines type of work to be done.”
Sienna took a moment to stretch her arms and back sore from the work she had done so far. ”Like, I’m thinking maybe we could get a bunch of people involved. Get everyone united with a big project, get our minds off of things. What do you think?”
All demigods had fatal flaws. Siennas fatal flaw was that she never thought about the consequences of her actions. It was fortunate that the person watching her work had been a Greek instead of a Roman. Sienna hadn’t even thought about what she might do if she had been called out by an angry legionnaire.
Sienna beamed at the compliment from Aurora. Sienna recognized the daughter of Aphrodite, but hadn’t spent much time with her before. In any case children of the goddess of love and beauty were known for having excellent taste, it was good to have one around for some input.
Sienna lowered her bandana around her neck. ”Cool, that’s what I was going for.” she took a moment to look over at the beginnings of a mural. ”You know, it’s like the Romans haven’t been super welcoming. I wanted to do something to make this feel more like home. I want everyone who comes in from Camp Halfblood to know they have a place here.”
Sienna dropped the can of spray paint into a box of various paints and brushes. The barest outline of the mural existed, but Sienna was pretty sure she was done for the day. It had been a lot of work marking everything out, and dragging around a ladder so she could get to the higher parts of the wall. It was kind of scary looking at a project this large, it was going to take more commitment that Sienna typically wanted to give to a project. Somehow she felt like this was the most important thing she had done so far. Other campers got sent on dangerous quests to battle monsters and retrieve artifacts from far off places, maybe this was the closest Sienna was going to get to a quest. She wasn’t saving the world, but she was bringing some beauty and joy to it. Seemed appropriate for a daughter of Iris.
With a sudden idea Sienna turned to Aurora. ”Do you paint?” Sienna was pretty sure she would already know about it if that was the case, still it didn’t hurt to ask. Honestly you didn’t need a lot of artistic talent to help out on a project like this. There were big stretches of wall that were would need solid areas of color. Big green areas for field and forest, big blue areas for the sky and the lake. They would be different shades obviously, but still all she needed was someone who could color inside the lines using the shade she told them to use. That’s what all the outlines were for in the first place. She could start things with a solid base of color and add in details after it dried.
Sienna ”Im thinking if we can get lots of Greeks involved with the project it will feel like this space really belongs to us.” she gave a shrug ”Plus my arms are killing me and this will take forever if I try to do this alone. What do you think.” she said silently hoping that Aurora could offer her some help.
He said sorry over and over, it seemed more like a habit than a sincere apology. In fact now that he decided to correct her on using the word Hades she was certain he actually sorry for anything.
She glared at him for a moment before finding the words to explain herself. ”You ever get mad and say what the Texas, or what the Michael?” she said pointedly ”No.” she answered for him.
Sienna knew that her opinion on this matter differed from other demigods. Of course she said Hades when speaking about a God or about the underworld, but this was different. Hades had become her favored expression of surprise or anger, it was a way to add a bit of flavor to angry words. Sienna had initially preferred a different four letter word for cursing, but Chiron repeatedly punishing her with clean up duty had broken her of the habit of dropping the f bomb. ”I’m cursing, I’m not speaking about a person for a place. Seems like a pretty bad idea to use the Gods names in place of curse words. I don’t know about you, but Hades is one God I wouldn’t want pissed off at me.”
He had backed himself up against the wall and was apologizing once more. For the first time she had realized how he was dressed. If you were going to run around tackling people into pools you would probably change into a swimsuit, and he was still wearing regular clothing. Her expression softened a bit ”You really did this by accident didn’t you?”
He mentioned forgetting to put on the breaks. When she thought about it she couldn’t remember how he had got out of the pool with her, he must have had some sort of power that let him do that. Maybe he could teleport, or maybe he had super speed just like she did.
He told her is wasn’t smart to “out” herself as being Greek. Every time she started to feel sympathy towards this guy he had to open his mouth say something that irritated her. First off, this was the second time he had tried to correct her. She had no patience for mansplaning, or anyone who treated her like she was stupid. Secondly he had implied that being a Greek demigod was something that needed to be hidden, There was no denying that a number of the Romans had been a bit hostile towards the Greeks. Maybe it would be easier to keep her head down and do her best to blend in, but blending in and staying out of trouble had never been Siennas style. ”Pretending to be someone I’m not is only something I do in front of Mortals.”
The main reason Sienna had chosen to come to this camp was so she could be herself. After Camp Halfblood fell she could have just gone back to the mortal world. She was a child of a minor Goddess and wasn’t high enough on the power scale to attract a lot of monsters. She probably would have been fine living in the mortal world so long as she never stayed in one place for very long. Sienna had chosen to live in a place where she could continue to be open about who she was, and she wasn’t going to let the threat of militant Roman bullies scare her off.
He approached the side of the pool and offered her a had up. Now that she was in the water and her hair was safely on top of her head where it wouldn’t continue to be damaged she had planned on just staying in the water for a while. Part of her wanted to refuse his outstretched hand after what he had just said to her. Yet she came up with a better idea.
Sienna accepted his hand and got out of the pool. He commented on the bleeding pink hair dye running down her face, but she ignored the comment. Once her feet were firmly on the ground she took off at super speed sprinting to the other end of the pool where a pile of towels was stacked. She paused briefly and grabbed two towels before speeding back to him.
Sienna didn’t typically show off her powers like this, but this was a special circumstance. If she had guessed correctly he had super speed but terrible control. The Romans like to think they were so superior to the Greeks, Sienna had an opportunity to show him up at his own game. It was true Sienna couldn’t keep up her super speed for long, but she had perfect control over stopping and starting. Being able to start and stop easily on a wet tile floor proved it.
She stopped a few feet away from him and tossed him a towel. She began to wipe her face and neck along her hairline where the pink dye was undoubtedly the worst, waiting to hear his reaction. The Romans may have been great at running all of their military drills and fighting as a unit, but clearly they weren’t doing a good job of teaching demigods how to master their individual powers.
It was hard not to feel homesick for Camp Halfblood. Sienna was grateful the Romans had offered them a safe place to stay, but she couldn’t say that she felt exactly welcome here. So far it seemed as if many Romans looked down on the Greeks for their lack of military discipline, as if that was the defining way to measure a culture.
For the most part things weren’t bad, just different. No Satyrs, couches instead of proper dining tables, people separated by ranks instead of families. Sienna couldn’t help but feel like Camp Jupiter was lacking in personality. The various cohort bunks all looked kind of the same. Sure the first cohort bunk seemed to be a bit nicer, and each cohort had their cute little mascot, but the whole place had a cookie cutter feel to it. The bunks in Camp Halfblood all looked completely different and showcased the personalities of the gods they represented. Sienna missed the bright rainbow colors of the Iris cabin. She hadn’t known much about Greek mythology when she showed up at Camp Halfblood, but one look at her cabin and she knew that was where she belonged. Sienna knew that had to be true for other demigods as well.
Right now she and all the other Camp Halfblood refugees were in a place where there wasn’t a real sign of welcome for them. Sienna wanted to change that. The emergency cohort shelter they had been put in was fine, but it lacked personality, they lacked any sign of who it was supposed to belong to. Sienna wanted to change that.
She was going to do a mural of Camp Halfblood on the largest outside wall of the emergency cohort shelter. It was going to be set up like a map with cute cartoon versions of all the bunks and structures of her old camp. She had drawn up a few ideas on paper and was now marking things out in chalk on the side of the building. Sienna had never done a project this big before, but that wasn’t going to stop her. Neither was the fact that she hadn’t asked anyone if it was okay for her to paint the outside of the Greek cohort building.
This was a big project and would probably take a few days to complete, right now she was just marking the basic outlines of what she wanted to do in chalk. It occurred to her that she should get at least one thing done that was permanent today. One thing to let everyone know whose cabin this was, to let everyone know there was at least one place in Camp Jupiter where the Greek demigods belonged.
Sienna lifted a red bandanna that had been tied around her neck over her mouth and nose. She began to tag the side of the building in big graffiti letters. Camp Halfblood. She took a few steps back to admire her work. The letters were black but with large gaps of empty space she would fill in later with a rainbow gradient. Rainbows meant hope, and that was exactly what the Greek campers needed now.
Sienna noticed that someone was standing nearby. ”What do you think? she called out.
Sienna had always wanted to travel. She had always wanted to visit the West coast to go to Coachella, or visit Sedona, or maybe even go to Burning Man where her parents first met. But she hadn’t come here on vacation, she hadn’t even come here on a quest, Sienna had come here running for her life with the rest of Camp Halfblood.
Sienna was a positive person, she always did her best to try and see the good in all situations. So far finding the good in Camp Jupiter had proven challenging. The Romans were all about a strictly regulated military lifestyle. It was all about training to fight, and getting in formations, and everyone having a rank. Honestly Sienna hated the way things were structured here. There wasn’t a whole lot of room for Demigods that didn’t like to fight.
Sienna had discovered that there was one thing about the Roman camp she actually liked, the bathhouse. Sure Camp Halfblood had a beautiful lake and the cabins had showers, but they did not compare to the beauty of the Roman baths. After fleeing for her life across the country and feeling deeply out of place at Camp Jupiter a spa day was exactly what she needed.
Sienna had carefully tied her hair into a bun on top of her head. She had just dyed her hair a neon pink and was hoping she could enjoy the bath without getting her hair wet. She was wearing a purple bikini with a blue flower pattern. Sienna kicked off her flip flops and move to the edge of the pool and dipped her toe in the water, pleased to find that the water was warm.
Then something, or more accurately someone collided with her and she went right into the water. A small cloud of pink dye formed around her hair. She could see that the one who had dragged her into the water was a guy, and it almost looked like he was trying to say something to her. And then he kicked her. It wasn’t too hard of a kick, there was water between them cushioning the blow. She moved to shove this guy away but found nothing but empty water.
Sienna emerged from the water, pink hair flopping over her face. She cleared it away and looked around for a moment trying to figure out just what was going on. She spotted him across the room.
”What the Hades dude?” she said glaring at him pink dye running down her face.
People pushing each other into water was an old prank. But it seemed rude to have shoved someone so violently into the water when you didn’t even know them. She bobbed beneath the water smoothing her hair away from her face and pulling it once more into a bun on top of her head.
”Is this like a hazing thing your doing to all the new Greek kids or something?” She sounded more annoyed than anything.
