Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

Many seen the Olympics as a source of glory and honor. As cool as Estelle found that she was merely doing it for the fun. Using it to test her skills and see how things went. In her opinion if it happened it happened. Of course she would still giver all to see what happened.
Estelle twirled her Spatha in her hand as she stretched out a bit. She knew today would be a lot of fighting and she had to be ready for it. She just had to keep in mind no powers allowed. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a braid down her back. She still had some downtime before it was her turn. She moved to watch the current fight that was happening. Her arms crossing just over her chest as she observed carefully.
Of course Estelle was still very hesitant about the Greeks but so far they hadn't seemed to bad. This event was to welcome them. Though she was curious as to how many actually chose to participate. Many of the Romans had seemed eager to prove themselves. Though most of them were used to the combat, it was just how things were for them.
Even though it shouldn't have been anything special, Rhi still watched the current fighters in the arena. They were Romans - not in the least bit surprising to the daughter of Mars that most of the participants in this Game were legionnaires - and Rhi had of course seen both of them fight before, just maybe not with each other. It would have been far more entertaining watching the Greeks fighting each other or a member of the legion, but any kind of violence attracted Rhi, even if it was between two well-matched and clearly very skilled opponents like these Roman kids. An errant thought passed about making a bet like a few other demigods had been doing, before deciding that she didn't really care enough about making bets on herself. There was proud and confident, and then there was being a douche, and Rhiannon was not about to cross that line.
As Rhi watched the fight in the arena, absentmindedly adjusting the thin leather stretched across her hands - a new thing she was trying out considering the number of weapons she would surely need to handle in the numerous fights for today - a member of the first cohort came over and stood beside her. Rhi unashamedly knew most if not all of the members of that cohort, not only because her best friend / biggest rival was in that cohort, but also because she made a point of remembering who she had to beat. It had always been a sore spot for the daughter of Mars that she hadn't made that cohort in the first place, so she usually set the bar for herself as 'being able to beat anyone from first cohort'. Granted, that person was usually Kovachev, but Rhi also counted this girl as a standard to beat.
Of course, that didn't necessarily mean Rhi was antagonistic to those demigods outside of the arena. With an easy smirk and a glance at the other girl's chosen weapon, Rhi returned her attention back to the fight, just in time to see one of the Romans dodge the other's slash to the gut just in time. "Phew, no wonder we haven't had any Greeks come in to the arena yet," Rhi said conversationally to the girl, who she was pretty sure was named Estelle. Blonde hair flew over her shoulder as she turned to look at Estelle again, companionable grin on her face. "Ready for your turn, Mason?"
Estelle had placed the sword at her hip once more. Certainly she would be as ready as she ever could for this fight. She watched as the two Romans went at it. Both were well matched opponents. Many played for the glory of winning. Estelle didn't need to win to be happy. She was going to put as much of a fight as she could into each one regardless. Though a grin crossed her lips when she heard Rhi's comment. A small laugh escaped her, "Well yeah...I definitely don't blame them"
Estelle knew well enough many of the Romans could be tough fighters, regardless of their cohort. No doubt the Greeks felt intimidated by that. In their shoes she certainly would be. But many of the Romans participated for the fun of it. The day was early and who knows maybe some bold Greek did sign up. Hopefully they wouldn't face a child of Mars, then they might very well regret that decision.
Estelle grinned when Rhi asked about her being ready. "Of course I am, are you?" she asked. She was pretty she was aware of what the daughter of mars would say. Estelle was not yet sure who she was going to face. Whoever it ended up being she was sure it was going to be a fun fight, regardless the outcome. She pushed a loose strand of her blonde hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. Her grey eyes were bright and held a hint of excitement for todays events.
The daughter of Mars laughed lightly at the standard answer and question. Of course Estelle was ready - she was in first cohort, there was a certain reputation that clung to those demigods when it came to combat. It had been a reputation Rhiannon had wanted for herself, sticking to her skin and permeating her aura like the legacy Vulcan power she had running through her blood. And then she had made a name for herself in her own cohort, and being it first didn't matter any more. Or at least, that was what she tried to tell herself. She'd gotten over most of her bitterness over it, but it couldn't be helped sometimes.
Shaking her head once as she saw one of the legionnaires in the arena take a hit, Rhiannon answered Estelle, "As ready as I'll ever be." And Rhi was. She trained every day, harder and faster than anyone else in her cohort just so that when any sort of opportunity arose, Rhi could always say she was at the best she could be. There was no excuse for slacking when it came to being a Roman demigod. Rhi was sure she'd keep up her training regimen even when she had graduated into New Rome. Being a warrior didn't stop at camp - it was a lifelong commitment, and Rhi would be danged if she ever stopped being one.
Grabbing one of the standard-issue knives on offer for the demigods to pick before entering the arena, Rhiannon practiced her grip, getting used to the thin layer of leather in between her palm and the hilt of the weapon. It felt a little different than usual - not uncomfortable, just other - and Rhi fiddled with spinning the knife in her palm a couple of times more before moving on to the next weapon. She might as well use these few minutes to get used to the leather wrappings. As the daughter of Mars stepped towards the row of spatha, she glanced around and noticed most of the others waiting their turn were Romans - people they knew. She turned to Estelle after selecting a blade, and asked, "Who do you think you'll get picked to fight with?"
Estelle's grin never faded from her face. Though she was in first cohort she never acted as if she was better than everyone. Unlike a lot of those she knew. She was a good fighter and even as a daughter of Jupiter she viewed herself no better than the others. In her opinion she was equal to her fellow Romans. She trained a lot but that was the idea of just being ready for whatever was to come. Of course she certainly knew how to have a good time.
Even these events she was just planning on having a good time. She would do her best however she possible could. Rhi's reply about being ready didn't surprise her too much. No one knew who they were facing until they were in that arena. No way to prepare prior to the fight. All one could do was be able to adapt to whatever situation they were put in. That was what Estelle planned on doing at least.
Though the young blonde watched as Rhi tested the weapons available for them. Estelle only planned on using the Spatha. It was a weapon she was most comfortable with when it came to combat. Though that was a perk many children of Mars had was though knew how to use many different weapons. Though her attention was turned away by the question she was asked. "If I am honest I have no idea, but I will be ready to face whoever I am put up against as best I could be" she told her calmly. Though a part of her hoped it wasn't some Greek, not that she had seen many of them participating.
The current fighters in the arena finally completed their round, with one legionnaire not rising up and having to be carried out of the ring. Rhi eyed him as they passed - he definitely did not look good, but it was nothing a little ambrosia wouldn't fix. She had no doubt that he wouldn't be fit to continue in the afternoon, though, and Rhi internally shrugged: it was the nature of the competition to weed out the weak, after all. She personally was not going to be dragged out in a similar fashion. It didn't matter how long it took, but Rhi was going to remain standing at the end of the day.
As her name was called, Rhi grinned at Estelle before reaching for a pair of pugio. The weapons were probably not intended to be dual-wielded, but Rhi could make it work. Besides, she wasn't stupid enough to walk into an armed combat arena with legionnaires armed with only one dagger. It was two weapons or nothing; her blessing was only supposed to be a last-minute defense, after all. If it triggered, it would mean she had let something slip through her defenses, and she wasn't going to be happy about that. Rhi would always try her best to defeat her opponents with her own skills, as much as possible not relying on her powers unless she absolutely had to.
"See you in the ring?" she asked, before making her way into the arena. She sent a flirty smirk at one of the first cohort boys she spotted in the crowd, flipping the pugio in her left hand in a little showy gesture, and he smirked back. Rhi could afford a little eye-candy and distraction for these precious few seconds before her opponent was announced. Her other hand flipped the other dagger, and Rhi looked for all the world as though she was just juggling pugio, fingers deftly passing blade and leather as she kept her eye on the other side of the ring where her opponent would enter.
Estelle was stretching slightly as she watched the fight finish up. Stopping to watch as the one legionnaire was carried out from the arena. Everyone knew these events were not for the faint of heart. Many went in and gave it everything they had. Some willing to go as far as not giving up until they could not stand any longer. Some fights could last a long time where some lasted very little. It definitely made it clear who was stronger.
Estelle was definitely going to try and win. She didn't want to come off as weak. Especially because she was from the first cohort. If she lost she doubted they would ignore that one very well. Either way she wasn't giving up easily in the fight to come. She had watched as Rhi had been announced as next. "Of course" she said when she commented as she headed off. Estelle didn't know who was due to fight until her own name was called.
Estelle gripped her spatha and made her own way out to the ring. Where Rhi had been very showy as she entered, Estelle kept a confident and serious look about her look. She twirled her wrist with the spatha as she stood on her side. So now she knew just who she was fighting. This certainly was going to be an interesting fight. Both not willing to give up and willing to fight till they couldn't.
Rhi's smirk only widened when it was Mason's name that was called to go up against her. The First Cohort were always demigods she wanted to fight against, and to win against, because those legionnaires were supposed to be the pinnacle of Camp Jupiter. By beating them, Rhi could say she was amongst the best, even if her cohort was only second. Fighting against Mason for this round would definitely be fun, as neither of them would be quite so willing to yield. It would take serious injury before either demigod would call it, and Rhi was looking forward to it. She hadn't yet fought against a Greek demigod, but she had no doubt they wouldn't be anywhere as good a warrior as a legionnaire - better get the fun out now.
The daughter of Mars flipped a strand of blonde hair out of her face as she pirouetted the pugio again, both blades swinging and flipping between her fingers. While she kept her gaze on the first cohort demigod walking into the arena, she couldn't help but notice the boy just over Mason's shoulder. He was watching her just as intently as before, and Rhi wanted to acknowledge him, but it was time to focus now. She'd need all her wits in this fight, all her senses aware of Mason and of how she moved, already calculating. The few precious seconds before a fight was just as important as the fight itself - Rhi could gain some small knowledge about her opponent in those few moments before the violence. Any knowledge was useful in a fight.
"Fancy seeing you here," Rhi joked, grinning even as she settled into a fight stance, limbs rigid and steady, ready to fly at the other girl or defend herself as soon as the match was set to begin. Her weight was low, resting primarily on her legs, in case Mason flew at her and she needed to backtrack. While Rhi was more a fan of charging than sabotaging, she wouldn't go into a fight blindly. She would need to have a quick look at Mason's fighting style before adjusting her own. As the signal sounded for the beginning of the fight, the smirk on her face narrowed, her eyes hardening as the daughter of Mars readied herself for a real battle.
