Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

The evening was young but the young blonde had finished all her tasks for the day. That and for one evening she was free of guard duty. Though camp was often devoid of things like rain an snow, the outside wasn't. The formation of a thunderstorm outside the barriers that protected camp had certainly caught the attention of the daughter of Jupiter. Though it was probably breaking the rules the temptation was all to much for her to let it slip away.
Of course she was sure not to go out unprotected. Out there she may have had the energy of the storm to feed off for her abilities but still it was best to travel with her Spatha. Who knew if monsters lurked past the barrier. Her sword strapped at her hip she made her way through the trees. There was a clearing she often traveled to when she did head out. This was no way the first time she had snuck out. For her she enjoyed the rain and the feel of the wind on her face. She was in her element in storms, though many might fear storms. Sometimes super perfect clear weather was tiring to her.
When Estelle reached the clearing she had a quick look around to ensure no one was around. Especially not some sort of monster. The rain was just starting to fall and she let it fall onto her face with joy. A smirk crossing her lips as she stood out there. She could feel the storms energy, the lightning in the clouds, the wind blowing through the trees. Of course Estelle wasn't just coming out here to sit in the storm. She was going to make use of the storm and the wind around her.
Estelle drew her spatha swirling it in her hands slightly. She swung a few testing swings at the air. Then she righted her footing and ran a series of strikes at nothing but air. Each swing having the force of wind behind it. Her long blonde hair was at this point plastered down to her head and face. Not that she minded it one bit. Of course sneaking back to the barracks soaking wet was going to be interesting.
The new camp was odd in almost every way, on how they would go about there lives. In many a way she had to admit that the fact that some would never leave, and spend there lives at the camp where everything was there that they could need had there, it had her attention. It had her curious as she had spent the days since she had come looking around, and learning what she could. Young and small she blended in well and people often missed her, as she was able to blend in well or they just seemed to not to care one way or another she was fine with it. New Rome had a beauty about it with the barrier, but that day she had seen the storm in the distance while she had trained a smile crossing her lips. Putting the blade to her side she walked quietly her head down.
Slipping out of the camp she felt the rain come down on her, as thunder and lightning over head "hey dad, nice to see you" although she did suppose it could have been her half siblings but she brushed it off after a moment. Keeping her head down as she made her way down the way, brushing the plants out of the way as the rain pelted down on her a bit she rested her hand on a plant she could hear something in the distance. Her eyes went wide as she drew her blade and moved carefully and attempting to be quiet she used her size to stay hidden as she tried to find the source.
Entering the edge of the clearing, her eyes found the source a blonde girl who was likely from the camp given the blade that was in her hand she thought as she stayed in the bush and watched as she practiced. A bit curious more then anything in her moves, she wondered breifly where the girl was from and her parent. All questions that she wanted to ask, and yet she stayed in the bushes. Eyes following each movement, despite the fact that she was getting wet herself. After several minutes she started to feel bad that she was spying and slowly emerged from the bush. Brushing the leaves off of herself as she went.
"Its...nice to see I was not the only one who wanted to get out for awhile" she said after a few moments as she flashed a smile and tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear despite the fact it was wet.
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Estelle had been swinging at the air for a long moment. She didn't care for the rain or the brewing storm. In fact she welcomed it happily. She charged forward summoning the wind to keep her up. But instead of lifting her up at once she used it like steps to move higher and then jump back down with a simple strike at the air. She stumbled slightly as she landed but she was still practicing and working on the landings.
Estelle had not planned to be found outside of camp barriers. She technically wasn't supposed to be out here but the urge of the coming storm had drawn her out. So upon hearing rustling of the brush behind her she immediately grew alert. Her first thought was a monster had tried sneaking up on her. Or it could be a Centurion which would mean she was in trouble.
Turning swiftly to face whoever approached her blonde hair whipping around. Her grey eyes gleaming in the moonlit sky. The grip on her sword tightened ready for an attack but it never came. She stopped herself when she spotted another girl in the clearing. Her grip loosened on the sword but she didn't yet relax. She didn't recognize her from around camp. Her first instinct was she was a possible Greek demigod.
To say Estelle was a little frustrated was an understatement. She wasn't the biggest fan on being snuck up on. Let alone when she was training and holding a blade in her hand. Had she attacked first and asked questions later, Estelle could of seriously hurt her. "Sneaking up on someone with a sword is a stupid idea...and no one followed you right?" Estelle replied. Estelle had to ensure her spot she went to was safe from a Praetor or Centurion showing up.
The day that she had hoped would be quiet and peaceful, thunder and lightning were her elements, and ones that she was happy to be around. Sadly the barriers at both camps kept them at a distance, which was nice but she also missed the feeling of rain as it came down on her. Perhaps she had some Posideon blood in her line somewhere. The idea of Legacy as she had understood it was an interesting one but one that did not seem to happen with the greeks as far as she had known in her years at Camp Half Blood she thought. Maybe she would send a letter to her mom later and explain better she thought.
The girl was ready for an attack and that was when she realized that maybe just maybe, sneaking up had not been a good idea on her, pausing she watched her eyes "yes and its a very pointy sword so please do not stick it in me" she said after a few moments, a faint smile crossing her lips her voice was not pleading, but more trying to break the ice with the blonde woman, eyes on the blade as she paused "I needed some air, and left and just started walking. I did not mean to find anyone, when I saw you, I did not want to interrupt, you in your training" she shrugged her shoulders, "your great with a sword" she complimented her.
Shaking her head when asked if she had been followed, glancing up at the sky for a moment before she spoke, "when you are small, it is easier to disappear, or hide...people tend to not notice you" she said after a few moments, "never lost a game of hide and seek yet" hoping a light hearted joke would break the ice. In the end she did not want to make enemies of people who could in time be friends, or at least allies even if the two groups were different she had hopes that somehow that they could make things work out in the end. Time would tell, but it would never happen if they were all at one another's throats.
"Hello by the way, my name is Thora" she introduced herself finally realizing she had not given her name.
From what Estelle could tell Thora was not from around here. Most likely a Greek or a very new Roman demigod. Though Estelle was still pretty hesitant as this was her own little place she went when she needed to get away. She was hesitant unsure what to say or do with this new interruption. It was late, far later than most would be out of the barracks. "I um...thanks...most romans are. Though that is nothing..." she said.
She was good with a sword but in the rain and storm she was in her real element. Between the wind and the energy of the lightning. She was improving her use of her flight abilities. She hadn't completely wiped out on the landing this time at least. She was unsure of Thora had actually seen. She wasn't sure how much of the training she had seen.
"Well good last thing I need is my Centurion finding me out here when I am not supposed to" she told her. Estelle was still kind of on edge but at least and relaxed her grip on the blade so she didn't appear to threatening. "I am Estelle..." she told her. She ran her free hand over her face and wiping away some of the water that fell into her eyes. Sneaking into camp soaking wet would certainly be an interesting task.
"yes...it seems that there are a few differences in stance, but it looks like it could be something useful" she admitted, aware that the camps were different in many ways she had not seen that stance in training and it was eye catching she thought. She wondered if the camps would somehow be able to co exist and maybe both would have been standing still had they worked together. It was a bitter pill to swallow she thought as she as she listened to the storm and slowly relaxed, the storm always calmed her nerves even when things could be bad she thought, "your camp uses a lot of things that are interesting that ours didn't. Its cool to see some of the differences" she mused.
Listening to her concern she chewed her lip and paused, "well...you saw me leaving camp and followed me out, us greeks are slacking on rules you know. You did not see any reason to grab anyone else, as you could handle it and were just getting ready to drag me back in" it was a lie, but a story to cover her if she had been seen as she had left the area, it would save the girl some trouble, she paused "if you would like I can show you where I found the way out" she offered, "Its pretty secluded so...I doubt anyone would even notice it you have to almost crush against a wall to get through" she mused.
"Its nice to meet you Estelle" she brushed the water away, "dad must be having one of his moods today" she mused as she looked over at the trees, and paused for a few moments "I...know this may sound a bit crazy but could you show me how to do what you were doing before?" she asked. It seemed very little interaction happened between the two camps and they all had reasons to keep the camps apart, or so they claimed but adults made mistakes before, maybe this was another one keeping them apart she thought.
"Difference can be good but also can lead to trouble" she told her. It was one of the reasons there was already tension inside the camp. She was sure the gods hid them from them with good reason. They had opposing views and that was clear. The Romans like order and a sort of military structure. While Greeks were far more laid back. "What do we use that you don't?" she asked her calmly.
Estelle shook her head as she created this whole cover story. "I can look after myself and don't need a cover story. Plus I have been sneaking out of camp for as long as I have been here this clearing is a ways from camp and secluded as well" she pointed out to her. If she got caught she got caught. She would deal with it and had no reason to lie to others to get away with things.
"Yeah I guess so or he listened to my prayers for a good storm" she told her. Since her and Sam spar she had gone up to his temple asking and praying for a good storm. Though it was when she wished to see how she did the whole flight thing. "What the flying thing? I am pretty new at it myself...only can go so far and can not fully fly long distances yet. You just control the wind to hold to up" she told her with a grin.
Gripping the sword in hand she took a running start. She leapt into the air catching herself with an invisible step of wind and continued until she was a few feet in the air. From there she leapt down with a strike at the air with her Spatha and landed on the ground in a defensive stance. "It's pretty simple" she said to her. Of course she had no knowledge of what abilities the other girl had.
People were tense at both camps that much had happened as she watched how people moved and acted so gaurded around one another. As though they were expecting that things could go south at any moment she paused a frown on her lips, "but being different, is that really a bad thing?" she asked after a few moments, "that is how the world works. People are different, you find the common ground and build from there" as she spoke she looked at the sky in thought, "yes there are differences, some small and some...rather big" she admitted, "but were still Demigods, we deal with the same issues. Monsters, danger, at times wondering if its all borrowed time" as she spoke those words she looked away, "I look at you, I do not see a Greek, or Roman, no I see a girl, maybe a few years older...that could one day become a friend" she smiled faintly, it was a bold statement given how tense things were, but it was the honest truth.
Simply nodding at the story offer she listened to what she asked and paused, "how you angle it with your hands, the way you swing. It is definately more polished, but you swing it in a different angle. It looks as though it could be more effective in an offensive way, while we work on balance" she admitted, as she paused and stepped back and drew her own blade after making sure enough distance so she was not threatening, "we are taught this" she showed her carefully, and moved the blade as she went, the angle several degrees different, but she also turned at the end in a defensive move in case a answer was coming her way, "or when we are defending" she moved from the same position, and showed the strikes carefully.
Noting how she moved when she made the move again she adjusted her hands carefully, debating for a few moments "I lack the air powers, more lightning and weather" she seemed in thought as she replayed it again and took a breath and got a running start, after several steps to the right she lept into the air several feet, the blade movement different already as she did so, not a perfect mimic but it was a change at angle, as she came down, she twisted down into a more defensive stance the blade ready "not a perfect way, but...I hope that was not awful" she said with a small smile.
That was when the comment Estelle said about her father clicked in as she paused, "you...said you prayed to your father for a good storm" she said after a few moments, not able to help that a hint of excitement came to her voice as she made the statement, "Estelle, is your father Zeus as well?" a hopeful smile on her face, not realizing she had used the wrong name. There were so few Zeus kids at home, that she was always excited to meet her half siblings.
Estelle gave her a curious look. She certainly had varying views on the differences between them. For Estelle it was not that she believed they were different and dislike them. She just didn't know they could be trusted. Certainly the gods kept them apart for a reason, up until now of course. "I mean no difference isn't a problem...and yeah we are all pretty similar.
She smiled slightly the first sign of warming up to her since her arrival. "I mean everyone has their own way of fighting even if they were shown how. Everyone puts their own spin. Not every Roman or every Greek fights the same. You find what works for you and adapt your style to it" she told her calmly. For some fighting style always changed.
"Well that is unfortunate. Flying is pretty fun except when you fall then it can certainly leave you hurting...I still am not very good at it" she told her. She watched as she mimicked her attack and pointed a few things to improve the outcome. "Not bad definitely can use some improvement. But practice makes perfect" she said to her with a grin.
Though it was the girls sudden excitement that had caught her off guard. "I mean my father is Jupiter, his Roman counterpart" she told her calmly. She was shocked the girl hadn't realized it sooner. But Estelle also wasn't one to go out telling everyone who her father was.
Differences people seemed so focused on what was different then the other she wondered if that was the main issue that people did not get passed every time that they were led by adults who did not want to change the way that things had been for many years. It was hard to beleive that every generation could have the same reaction, maybe bad blood seeped over the years that had started with each generation. As far as she knew the Romans lived in the city had they picked to, thus the camp and its campers would have influence from the outside. It had to be factors that could not be calculated in the end, this was the first time both sides had stayed together.
"I am sure flying is fun, I have seen some of my siblings with it, but weather is nice considering it can help dry, if I were to sneak out toenjoy a good storm and do not want to be soaked when you sneak back in" a smile crossed her lips, showing she had done it more then once at then once, more so at camp then here because she had to find the way outside of the camp to where she could get in and out and not be caught, being small helped but she was careful when she did this so she did not get in trouble to much. Usually her siblings were good at seeing it in her eyes.
"very true..." she admitted as she rubbed her head, "tried a kid from Ares moves once, big and bulky I was sore for a week" she joked a bit with a small laugh, "I prefer where I can use my speed and size in battles" she admitted as she rubbed the back of her head, it was better then her power game when she was using her size and powers to use the speed and the powers that she had served her well, to survive "we have a few flyers as well" she admitted, "or elements" she shrugged, as she saw the reaction to Zeus she paused.
"You could have been a minor god or goddesses kid" she said after a few moments, there were some that could do similar powers to Zeus kids, but maybe she should have picked up on it, "we didnt have much back at camp, its rare" she said after a few moments, "then...we lost some before we ever got here" there was a sadness to her voice as she looked away, in many a way she was acting tough, but still a young and scared girl
