Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Nikolai knew he wasn't supposed to be wandering around in the middle of the night. The Romans had a curfew just like they used to have at Camp Half-Blood. Used to have. It still felt weird, too strange to be true, that their only safe haven and home to most of the Greek demigods was just... gone. Only ashes of it remained. Chiron made sure to tell them everything was going to be fine but did he expect them to buy it? It was obvious that nothing was going to be fine. Being sent to Camp Jupiter didn't seem much different from being given a death sentence.
Being disliked and hated never necessarily bothered him. He was pretty much used to it. But the hatred the Romans displayed against the Greeks? A whole new level. They acted as if enemies had entered their camp. Perhaps there was some truth to it but still. They shared the same parentage. The gods were the same, they just had some multiple personality issues.
The blond had to admit he got a little lost, aimlessly walking around. He found himself in front of the stables, listening to the soft breathing of the sleeping horses and pegasi. To be honest, being a child of Hades he never really liked sitting on a flying horse. The sky wasn't his place to be. Having his feet on solid ground was a much better feeling, even if it grumbled underneath him from time to time.
Since he figured no one would be inside at this time he slipped inside, closing the wooden door behind him with a soft thud. He moved like a shadow, noiseless and perhaps a little deadly. He couldn't help but give off those vibes. Perks, or maybe not, of being a child of the Underworld. The horses and pegasi didn't move until he stood in front of a stall with its doors open. The horse woke up with a start, got up to its feet within a mere second, and whined, his hooves dangerously looming above Nikolai's head. His first instinct was to shoot up his arms and cover his face and head. The impact wasn't as hard as he expected it to be. Nevertheless, he flew to the ground, hay sticking on his clothes. The horse waited in front of him, glaring at him to dare make another move.
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Sometimes it was still hard to sleep. She missed her old bed at Camp Half Blood, the feather down mattress topper her father had gotten for her had always felt like it had wrapped her up in warm arms while she slept. It was perfect, and the mattress here was alright, but not near what she was used to. Her back was not a fan of it, that much was certain. Climbing out of the bed she pulled off her pajamas, catching a glimpse of the scar that was mostly healed at this point but that she would carry for the rest of her life along her rib cage. She frowned as she placed her hand over it, reminder of what had happened at Camp Half Blood when they had been attacked. Sighing heavily she grabbed something quick to put on, a skirt and a tank top because it was easy and grabbed her hoodie throwing it on and headed out into the night.
She knew there was a curfew, but she also didn't care. She was just needing to get out for awhile, needed to get her mind off the nightmares that still plagued her from the attack. She was wandering around when she thought she should go check on her pegasus, Olaf. Savannah had been so glad that he had made it through that attack unscathed, he had chosen her forever ago, and he meant the world to her. His solid white coat tended to almost seem to glow when you looked at him, like fallen snow. His mane and tail were white too, but they had strands of silver mixed in, he was a total beauty, and she had loved him from the start. After the attack at the camp he had soot mixed through his coat, and she had helped him clean up after all of it, using that to help her get her mind off of all the dead they had lost, all the people they would never see again. It was hard, but he was there for her.
The camp seemed almost deserted this late at night, not at all surprising, but she could see the glow of lights down where the families lived, it was so strange, so different from Camp Half Blood. It made her think that maybe life could be much different for her than before. That she could maybe have a life here that she never had imagined having before. It was interesting to say the least. She just hoped that they would be a little more open towards the greeks. The Romans didnt seem to happy that they were here, but some had been pretty welcoming at least. Though she didn't blame them, they had invaded their home.
She pulled open the door and was about to head to Olaf's stall, his head poking out when he realized she was there, when she heard a scuffle. Her eyes grew wide when she noticed the horse rearing down at the end and the body falling to the hay. " Oh gods." she ran over quickly and held her hands up, getting the horse to back up a bit. Her eyes turned to see the person in the hay and recognized him as one of the other greeks. Nikolai. She calmed the horse down and then bent down beside him, " Gods Nik, are you alright? Did he hit you?" She held her hands out to him, " come on, let me get you out of here..." she wanted to get him as far from that horse as possible, it was clearly agitated. " theres a place to sit right over here."
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Nikolai instinctively wanted to close his eyes. Maybe this was just another bad dream, just another nightmare. He probably just dreamed about wandering off and into the stables. This wasn’t real. The horse whined again and he could feel the hot air it blew out of its nose and mouth on his face.
Oh no, this was very real. And he was about to get stomped on by the horse. The first thing he learned about horses was to never stand behind them or anger them since a simple kick with their hooves could send you right into your grave. Well, maybe that wasn’t so bad after all if only he wouldn’t end up in his father’s realm.
Didn’t they say animals act like their owners or something like that? Seemed like Roman horses weren’t big fans of the Greeks either. Sending silent prayers to Poseidon or Neptune, in this case, to keep his creation in check, his hands dug into the floor, blindly trying to find something to ward the horse off but all they got a hold of was hay.
When the horse looked like he was about to finally smash him into porridge he squeezed his eyes shut, not wanting to watch his transition from life to death. But maybe someone did hear his prayers. A familiar voice of a female camper cut through the terrifying silence and no horse was on top of him. He slowly opened his eyes, taking in the scene, blinking slowly.
“Yeah… yeah, I’m good. No, but it was about to if you hadn’t stepped in,” he said, scrambling backward and then up onto his feet, holding on to her hand to support him up. He looked at his hands which were lightly scratched from the rough floor but other than that he was fine. Alive. Avoiding the horse’s gaze Nikolai focused on the brunette, Savannah, leader of the Aphrodite cabin. “Thanks,” he mumbled softly as he sat down on a small wooden bench.
Running his hands over his face and then his hair he dropped his gaze towards the floor. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to disturb the horses. I guess it became a habit to bring nothing but evil and terror.” He laughed at his own words, not really meaning them but he couldn’t deny the hint of truth behind them.
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Savannah calmed the huge animal as best she could. She felt terrible for Nik, knowing how scary that had to have been. If the horse had hit his head, he would be dead right now, easily. She was glad she had found him when she did. If she hadn't been restless and come down to see Olaf, they might have lost another camper, and that was the last thing her fellow Greek's needed. " Then I'm glad that I couldn't sleep." she held onto him, helping him to the bench and when he was sitting down she sat down beside him, pulling little bits of hay out of his hair for him. " I'm just glad you are ok. You're welcome though." she brushed the hay off of his shoulder and looked over as he talked about his evil and terror filled self. [break][break]
She shook her head with a little smile, " Nah, you are a big old teddy bear Nikolai. The horses just don't know that you are a nice guy." she smiled a bit and could see Olaf sticking his head over his stall door, his wings fluttering a little as he stared at her. Glared really, seeing as how she had not deigned to come scratch him and give him his favorite treats yet. Climbing to her feet she dug in her pocket and pulled out a couple peppermints she had brought with her for her pegasus. She held one of the little wrapped candies out to Nikolai. " How about I help you meet my pegasus at least? He will be happy to meet you as long as you give him one of those, and I'm with you." [break][break]
Savannah walked down to his stall and ran her hand over his face, up into his forelock and she scratched that spot there that always seemed so itchy for him. When she was done she unwrapped the peppermint and placed it in her open palm, holding it out for him. His muzzle was tickling her palm as he took the treat from her and she held her hand out to Nik, " Come on, he will be ok I promise. Just unwrap the candy and leave it in your palm, flat, just like I did." she moved to where she could keep a hand on the white pegasi's neck to keep him calm. " you might just make a new best friend."
