Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

It was another day in paradise, as far as Jez was concerned. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and everything was just fine and dandy. It was with a bit of a jaunt in his step and a whistling tune that the son of Fortuna made his way to the Mess Hall, ready for lunch just like every other day. He was pretty sure food was his best friend, aside from the pet goat he kept hidden in the third cohort barracks. While Lima was technically his, every other member of his cohort was in on the secret - if they weren't, they were incriminated just by proximity. Harbouring a fugitive, or whatever. The cute goat was Corbin's gift to him, although the other demigod would likely tell him Lima wasn't a gift; Jez didn't care, he knew it was a gift.
The back of a familiar head sitting at his table caught his eye, and instantly Jez' day became a whole lot brighter. While in general Jez liked to wheedle all his friends, making jokes and sarcastic remarks at pretty much everybody, Ines was his second favourite after Corbin. She was often like an older sister figure to him despite her being younger than him, and Jez always liked to poke fun at her serious exterior, thoroughly enjoying when she decided to banter with him. Ines' wit worked well against his own and he loved her for it. Quite honestly, he would kill for her, and that was just facts.
Still with the smirk on his face, Jez walked towards her and did a smooth little pirouette when he reached her side, before sinking to a seat across from her. He knew why she'd chosen to sat here, of course, his gaze catching the absentminded Greeks sat at the second cohort table on his way over. "Slumming it with fourth cohort, I see?" he remarked casually, and if he could have raised his legs to lean on the top of the table, he would have, ankles crossed and everything. "My my, how the mighty have fallen, Ines."

[ TALKER ] - not that jez is a complete chatterbox, but by the gods he can definitely talk. he always has something to say in any situation, not necessarily always appreciated by the people around him, but that's just how jez is. his mouth usually also gets him into trouble, but it can also get him and his friends out of sticky situations. [break][break] [ SMOOTH ] - this boy's idol when he was growing up was michael jackson. not only is jez a smooth talker, but he's also a smooth fighter and his gait is fluid. every movement, every gesture, and every word has been practiced to ensure he is as slick as possible. it's all just part of jez' style, and he's not going to give it up for anything. [break][break] [ CONFIDENT ] - he can get a little braggy as jez is quite confident in his capabilities, but it's never really a serious sort of thing where he patronises others or puts people down. most of the time, he only mentions his own strengths when he's trying to entertain people or put them at ease in a bad situation. as aware as he is about his strengths, jez is also acutely aware of his weaknesses and limitations, although he will still face any problem head on if asked to. [break][break] [ FLAIR ] - without a doubt, one of jez' most obvious traits is that he's got flair. he's a bit dramatic, he gestures a lot when he's telling a story, and he's a bit showy about his strengths and style and fashion sense, but it's always in good fun and never actually a serious thing that he wants people to take against him. jez is just living life as loud and as happy as he can, and if that means he cares and wants to tell you about his favourite suede jacket, he will do so. [break][break] [ VAIN ] - of course, all of the above combines to make jez a bit of a vain duck. it's not uncommon to see him sending kisses to his own reflection, or sending a flirty wink or smirk at any number of people. jez thinks if someone sees something worth praising, they shouldn't be shy about said praising, so of course he's going to compliment himself. however, jez doesn't keep all the compliments to himself, so he thinks he's allowed to have some for himself, too. [break][break] [break] [ JOKER ] - a lot of jez' life is about cracking jokes or entertaining others. as far as he's concerned if you're not laughing, you're crying, and jez would rather be laughing thank you very much. if he can get a person to ease up a little by doing a little catwalk in front of them, he'll darn well do it. he thinks a lot of problems can be sorted with a bit of humour. this does mean that jez doesn't always appreciate how serious a situation is. [break][break] [ DISTRACTED ] - this does mean that jez does find himself distracted often. he is easily waylaid by things involving luck or chance (ie gambling), and flirting, and any number of fun activities. he doesn't mean anything by it, but considering how much jez loves living his life, it can't be helped that sometimes he'll forget there are serious things waiting for him. [break][break] [ WISE gluteus maximus ] - it was in a tv show that jez came by his life motto: "he will outlive god trying to have the last word". as jez always has something to say in every situation, what he usually does have to say is a crack at something or someone. he can't himself from saying something witty or sarcastic, much to the consternation of his friends, as it usually lands him and whoever is around him in trouble. jez also doesn't always care about context - his mouth runs away with him and always says what he's thinking before he can stop himself. [break][break] [ ENERGETIC ] - jez' father thinks its the mercury genes, but jez can't always sit still. his brain flies a million miles an hour, and so usually his mouth and body tries to keep up, too. he's always upbeat - it's a problem when he's not - and he's always ready to do or say something. he's always down to go along with his friends no matter where they're going or what they're doing, and the entire way there, jez will crack jokes or have a little dance step or show off his powers a little. he does end up fidgeting with things if he's left in one small place for too long, and he can't sit still for long periods of time - he complains that this is because of his long legs. [break][break] [ SOFT ] - the category of things that jez loves after 'fashion' is 'cute'. he loves fluffy things, all manner of adorable things, and loves cute animals. he'll be the first person to coo after a cat or pick up a plushie to give it a big hug. his favourite cute thing is his pet goat lima - named after the bean, of course. he doesn't feel like it needs an explanation other than that his goat is the softest bean ever. [break][break] [break] [ LOYAL ] - jez loves his friends and he'll follow them to the death. even in situations where he may not necessarily agree with them, jez will still follow them just out of sheer loyalty. amongst his friends, though, there is an order of loyalty, not that he'll ever admit that to anyone. he will one hundred percent stand in front of them to defend them, even if he may whine at first about being a decoy. [break][break] [ SIDEKICK ] - admittedly, all of the above traits makes jez a bit of a sidekick. he's not super powerful or super focused or super dark or super moral - he's not really super anything. what he is is a great joker, there to follow people into battle or kill for them; he's a sidekick and he's completely fine with being that role in any friend group. he doesn't want the responsibility of being in the spotlight, anyway. [break][break] [ MORAL? ] - there are some lines that jez won't cross, which is interesting because he's pretty okay with murder. one of those is anything in front of kids - he won't cuss, kiss, or kill in front of a kid. he will also never hurt an animal, and in any sort of situation that has captive animals, he can't necessarily leave a place without freeing them. he can also get behind any sort of moral clauses his friends may have. [break][break] [ MOM-FRIEND ] - as a sidekick type of character, jez also ends up looking after his friends when they get hurt. he doesn't mind getting them food or making sure they're warm when it's cold or asking if someone is alright - and actually meaning it. he always tries to look after everyone in his friend group, even if sometimes he's the one who has to tell someone that it may be worth reconsidering their bad idea. but he always talks and relates to his friend in a caring sort of way. [break][break] [ HYPE MAN ] - jez appreciates his friends very much. he will gladly sing about them or to them or even exaggerate stories just a little, because he feels his friends deserve that. he will also gladly tell praise his friends if they did a particularly cool shot or cool move or look particularly pretty - because jez is just here to make everyone's day better. if you're his friend, that is. enemies will get a nice shiny shot between their eyebrows (:

Well my father was a gambler down in Georgia,[break] He wound up on the wrong end of a gun.
[break] Kavanagh Foley became a gambler. He really should have seen it coming - all that reliance on his god-given powers would of course turn him to test the limits of his skill as thief and then his skill at taking money from people right in front of their noses. It probably wasn't his best idea, targeting mere mortals to play his tricks on, but Kavanagh knew where his strengths lay, so of course he was going to play by them. Would he consider himself greedy? Probably not particularly; he just liked to test his luck to the best of his abilities, until one day, lady luck herself came knocking on his door. And then his life changed forever, as was usually the case for mere men visited by goddesses.[break][break] She was beautiful - her hair was long and curly and the colour of spun gold. Almost literally. It sparkled and caught the lights in the casino where they met, and the way she smiled at him caught his heart, too. Kavanagh knew she was no ordinary woman, but perhaps he didn't completely realise he was literally flirting with luck. She'd had a bit of a soft spot for him, you see, this barely-out-of-boyhood demigod who was out hustling amongst the high rollers, charming them into raising the stakes higher and higher until they couldn't lose any more. It was this fun sort of ambition that had drawn Fortuna to him, and it was also Fortuna who helped me survive the exit of the casino - rich men do not enjoy watching their money go in someone else's pockets.[break][break] Their romance was like a whirlwind, full of laughter and risks and adrenaline rushes. In between all the fun, daredevil things, though, Kavanagh was sweet upon his lady, doting upon her and taking her out to picnics and midnight walks along the beach. He'd fully and completely fallen for her charms, so when she'd finally told him who she was, he could feel the pieces of his heart break into fragments. He was a demigod himself - he knew what it meant that she was a goddess. She was so beyond his league, and she would be eternal, and she would forget about him soon enough. To him, she may have been his entire world, but to her, he was just a bug on the windshield of her life. He would die, and she would live on. Kavanagh spent the rest of their time together trying to remain upbeat, like it didn't bother him, but inside he was breaking apart.[break][break]

[break] For ten months after Fortuna left, Kavanagh lost himself. He drowned in booze, got into fights with anyone and everyone, and dug himself into so much debt that he ended up going to prison a few times. It was such a fall from grace for such a previously energetic demigod that Fortuna pitied him when she finally visited him, a small bundle swaddled in cloth in her arms. She told him to get his life together, that his new baby boy would bring him luck and happiness, and that his little boy deserved so much more than the darkness that was currently Kavanagh's life. And by the gods, but Fortuna was right - the baby was the light that cast away the shadows of Kavanagh's activities, and he worked hard again to get himself back on the right track.[break][break] First thing he did was find a job. It was difficult considering he also wanted to be there for his baby boy, but at the end of the day, some sacrifices had to be made. Kavanagh's mortal mother looked after baby Jez for the first few years of his life as Kavanagh took up one job then two then three, all in an effort to pay off his debts. Finally, finally, just a week or so shy of Jez' fourth birthday, Kavanagh paid the final cheque, smiled a sigh of relief, then took his baby boy out for a proper treat. Most of Jez' childhood, he'd gone with less, but now that Kavanagh wasn't crippled by the mistakes of his past, he could treat his boy to finer things in life.[break][break] Kavanagh completely attributed his success at turning his life around to Jez - he was as lucky at saving Kavanagh's life as Fortuna had been with messing his up. But even his own crushing sadness at his heartbreak soon soothed and healed over, all because of Jez. His little boy was bubbly and bright and always curious, and he was always lucky, something that only made Kavanagh grin and shake his head at. The best cookie, the last candy, the only swing at the park suddenly becoming empty as soon as Jez headed over. Kavanagh knew Fortuna was looking out for her own child in the only way she could - and even if she wasn't, that was how Kavanagh insisted on seeing it. It wasn't hurting anyone, anyway.[break][break]

[break] Despite his debt in the mortal world being paid, Kavanagh did not choose to return to New Rome. He felt as though he was no longer welcome back - he'd left when he was twenty-three and hadn't been back in over ten years. Regardless of what any demigod might believe, Kavanagh did not leave New Rome for any other reason than just to return to his mother to look after her as she got old and became weak. But he didn't feel as though Jez needed to be surrounded by demigods to learn how to live his life - Kavanagh made sure he could live amongst mortals while also tricking him the tricks of the trade that Kavanagh himself learned to survive. Morally ambiguous? Probably, but Kavanagh knew one couldn't really thrive in the world by being a complete stick in the mud and following the law.[break][break] Because of this, Jez grew up on a diet of cunningness, exploiting his charm, and trying his luck. Kavanagh always supported his son in whatever endeavour he chose for himself, but Kavanagh also made sure to teach him how to fight. Jez' grandmother's love for old Westerns meant Jez played around a lot with revolvers and cowboy hats, much to the amusement of the adults in his life. He learned all sorts of trick shots and flashy gun spinning, as well as blowing the smoke from the barrel and sliding them with a flash into his hip holsters. He also often enjoyed doing live enactments of his favourite scenes in Western movies. Even during the combat training sessions his father insisted on putting him through, while Jez did alright with knives and swords and what not, he always preferred guns, and none of that semi-automatic stuff. He did things with style and pizzazz. [break][break] School was alright for Jez. He wasn't the smartest crayon in the box academically, but he was cunning and resourceful. He was also very charming and witty, which awarded him with plenty of friends, although he did gain himself some enemies. He was often bullied because of his colour, his slight frame, and his flair for the dramatics, but Jez always made sure to give them Hades - he could throw a mean right hook, proudly taught by his father, and Jez could also hit kids at the back of their heads with a rubber band from such an impossible angle or distance in class that the bullies could never really prove it was him. Besides, Jez? With his angelic face and sweet smile and fluffy pencil case? Jez was the most innocent boy in class, ask anyone. Smirk.[break][break]

[break] Jez was sixteen and just starting high school when he was attacked by a monster and his father decided he'd been putting it off for too long. Jez' easy going life crumbled in an instant as he was dropped off to the Wolf House, and while he may have been able to fend for himself for the most part, Lupa wasn't the most impressed about his weapon of choice. Fact of the matter remained that while Jez had impeccable aim and good luck, he wasn't the best at swords and shields and spears. He was deemed passable and sent to look for Camp Jupiter, and the only reason he escaped fifth cohort was because his father had written him a letter assuring the Praetors that Jez had been training since he was a child - although of course Kavanagh did leave out exactly what Jez excelled in.[break][break] Jez' charm remained mostly the same throughout his camp years, although he did fall in with a crowd that were perhaps not the most upstanding members of the Roman legion. Not that this bothered Kavanagh in the least - after all, Kavanagh himself had run with a less than ideal crowd himself in his younger years. He did, however, caution Jez about the choices he'd make, and that Jez should realize when a hole had become too deep and when it might be a good idea to try to climb back out. While Jez nodded along with his father's words of wisdom, Jez himself was quite confident in the company he was keeping. They may not be the most upstanding demigods ever, but more than anything, they would have each other's backs, and that was, in Jez' opinion, the most important thing about having his friends.

[ TYCHOKINESIS ] - jez' main power is his ability to understand and even manipulate probability. not only is he usually a lucky person in life in general in the small things - the last sausage, the best seat in the cinema, a carpark in the shade during a hot summer's day - but he can also boost good luck for himself and anyone he likes. no matter how much he would prefer to say that his aim is as good as it is because he's practiced a lot, the fact of the matter remains that his luck also helps him out a lot. he is also able to extend this luck outwards to his friends, helping them in a bet or in a casino or in their own fighting. his powers are not limited by his energy, but by a kind of quota allotted to him. this means that he can save up all of his allotted luck for the day and spend it all in one very good round of poker - but it will eventually run out until he's a normal human like everyone else. [break][break] weaknesses: the quota of 'good luck' - or his ability to manipulate probability - 'resets' after a good night's sleep. this does mean that if he doesn't get a good enough or long enough or peaceful enough sleep, the quota he gets when he wakes up next is not at its peak. naps don't count, although he feels like he gains a tiny extra when he does. spending luck on himself 'costs' less than it does to affect others, but jez is always mindful to not actually completely run out of his magic. one never knows when one might need a good dose of luck. jez also cannot call upon bad luck, no matter how much he may wish it so upon his enemies. his ability to affect his friends relies on physical nearness as well, although he doesn't necessarily need to be right next to them. [break][break] [ MINOR THIEVERY ( LEGACY ) ] - because jezekiel in general has a very questionable moral compass, of course he loves anything that involves stealing. this can be fleecing people at pool or getting very much involved in a heist. the combination of his mother's power as well as the legacy of his father means he makes quite a potent player to have by your side when out to steal things. what jez can't get by charm or style, he will get by liberating from others. [break][break] weaknesses: as this is a legacy power from mercury, his lockpicking and stealth are actually very minor, only appearing more because it is boosted by his luck. really, 'being a good thief' is more like a personality trait than an actual power for jez.[break][break] [ GIFTED ITEM ] - a thin gold ring with a horse shoe as its centre piece which jez wears on his left index finger. this can act as a sort of container for his power, although like batteries, luck does seep out of it continuously even when not being used. (think of it as an iphone x with less than 80% battery quality - if you're an iphone user, you know what this means.) this means he cannot keep compounding luck in the ring. he never usually gives it to anyone as it is his favourite piece of jewellry, given to him when he was claimed by his mother, but jez has been known to loan it out to a trusted friend or two on occasion, especially when he cannot be there for them.
