Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

There was no denying the fact that he could tell how much Evie was feeling nervous as they walked around the store. She was almost as skittish as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. He was doing all he could to reassure her that they were alright, that they could be safe in this place. That he would protect her as he had been doing since they left Camp Half Blood together and run for it. Getting her to safety was always his priority. He would rather himself go on to the underworld before he ever let anything happen to her. Evie was his life, she was the one that he felt he had to live for, to get through all the hard times with . He had to ensure that she was alright. That was the one thing he needed over anything else.
His arm hurt, he would not lie about that, but he didn't let that bog him down. He would help her get these supplies and then they would head straight to that hotel and get a room where they would be able to rest before making that last leg of their journey. So very close to Camp Jupiter, but if he did not get a chance to rest, he could not protect her properly. Something told him the closer they got to the borders, the chances of running into monsters would increase ten fold. He had to be at his best in order to get them there safely. So that was his plan, rest, relax just a bit, maybe a hot shower and then on the road again.
Watching her select things that they needed, he ensure that he grabbed a few things too that might help them to get through this last little bit, and also have what they may need once they got to camp. Heading to the register, he felt the eyes of the cashier travel from him to her, and as Evie moved in closer to him he gave her a quickly look, assuring her with just that glance that they were alright. " That will be all we need for today." he handed his card off to the cashier and bent down to whisper in to Evie's ear, " Its alright." he wanted her to know that she was ok, and that they were going to get out of there any moment.
The cashier rang them all up, and Aiden took the bags and the card and shoved it in his pocket, grabbing Evie's hand with the free one not carrying the bags he lead her out the door and down to the hotel. " You alright?" his eyes kept scanning around them, expecting a monster to jump out at any time. He heard a howl on the air and he bristled, keeping his eyes on the prize that was the building they were heading towards.
" Get inside, hurry." he handed her the bags walking backwards as he looked around them, ready to protect her at all costs. He was feeling the hair on his arms stand up, nerves kicking into overdrive. He waited until she was inside, glancing aroudn one more time before heading in behind her.
Aiden felt this undeniable feeling of protectiveness for Evie, but now, it was even more so, because he had her in his arms where he felt she truly belonged. As long as she had been around him Aiden wanted to protect her, but that had grown feelings so strongly for her that he had been so very afraid of telling her that. If anything were to happen to her now, he would follow right after her into the Underworld. It was dramatic yes, but it was how he truly felt. She was his world, and without her in it, the world would be a dark and ugly place. The idea of them being wrapped up in one anothers arms for the last chance they would have for awhile was a very intruiging one. He needed her to realize how much she meant to him, how important it was to have her there with him. One last night of privacy, one last night to show her how he felt.
He wasnt' sure what the sleeping arrangements were going to be when they reached this other camp. Whether or not he would even be able to be remotely close to her. It was maddening not knowing what they were getting themselves into. " Then that is what we will do Evie, rest is something we could both use, and I won't be in any hurry that way. We will be much safer in a hotel then we would ever be out here in the wild alone." sure, monsters could attack anywhere, but he felt like this was the best idea. " I am glad to know that we are on the same page then." he was so head over heels for Evie, had even been teased in the cabin about it a time or two.
The kiss though, that was something that he could not compare anything to. His heart was racing the moment he had pressed his lips to hers, his mind was soaring, and his lips felt that electric jolt between them as they met. Their bodies were so close together that his mind couldn't think of anything but that. He did not want to stop the kiss, though he knew that they needed to get off the streets, and there was plenty of time for kissing once they were alone and safe in the room.
Glancing at the little store Aiden nodded, " Yeah we can do that. Get some food, some bandages and things, I could use more toothpaste too." he had been running low and really wanted to get some more. He grabbed her hand and quickly lead her to the little store. Once inside his eyes adjusted to the darker light of the room and looked around for what they might need. " This way." he lead her down the aisle where the toiletries where. Grabbing some toothpaste and a small first aide kit, he also grabbed some guaze bandages as well. " Anything else you need on this aisle?"
He was very nervous. It was evident in the way he was carrying himself. She made him nervous, made him not sure of himself. It was so easy to be around her though. She made him feel like he was so much, more. Not just some meat head with a warrior complex, some soldier, some..jerk. He was so much more than that, BECAUSE of her. Those blue eyes kept meeting his and he was realizing just how much of a pull she had. Evie had some kind of gravity, and he was being dragged in, and without a single complaint. Their eyes met, and he could see the fear, or maybe it was just worry, in hers. " I swear I will be alright Evie. Don't worry about me." he didn't want her to think that he was too weak to keep her safe. He would sacrifice himself any day for her. Not that she would be happy with him if he did.
THe moment his lips had touched hers he didn't want it to end, but he also was not too keen on getting slapped or upsetting his best friend. Evie was the one person he completely trusted, and if he lost that, there would honestly not be much point to his life. He needed her, in every way a person could need another. He never thought he would need that, not until she came along and changed his whole perspective on life. How any one person could change him so fully, well, that was a mystery in and of itself. Yet, she had done it. The beautiful, shy, quiet girl who had come into his life when he needed her the most.
He bit his lip as he looked down at her, wondering what might be going through her mind right now. She started speaking again, well, kind of, and Aiden looked to where he had seen the hotel and nodded. " We can keep going tomorrow. Let's just make the most of this last night then hmm?" what was he doing? Oh Gods. He didn't want her to think he was doing something like, trying to take advantage of her. Not that he would even dream of doing that. He just, well, he wanted to spend the last little bit of time with her that he could before they faced the reality of being back with the other campers.
Though his eyes flew back to hers as she said she loved him. He turned towards her as she kissed his cheek, and shook his head in shock. " You mean to tell me that if I had stopped being an idiot I could have told you that ages ago and..things could have been much different by now?" he laughed and pulled her into his arms, holding her close for a moment, careful of any injuries on either of them. " I have loved you from the moment we first spoke Evie." he smiled and without another bit of hesitation kissed her. " So much." he took a step back. " What do we do now?"
Aiden could see the visible relief she seemed to feel with his touch. It would seem that she had the same reactions to him that he had to her. She was the thing that kept him most rooted to his world. To be fair, she was his reason for living and she didn't even know it. From the moment he met Evie, he knew that she was going to change his life. He never managed to tell her as much, never had even broached the subject of how he felt about her. Aiden was in love with her, and had realized it a long time ago. He was just so afraid to lose her. He had this horrible feeling deep within him that if she knew how he felt he might scare her off, and then where would he be? As they made this trek across the country together though, he was starting to suspect that the feelings he had for her, just might be mutual.
He saw her lip trembling and it broke his heart. " Evie...Ev, please don't cry." he could deal with the bite, but he could not deal with the girl with the big blue eyes that had stolen his heart, crying. It hurt him to just think of it. He looked down at the bite then back up at her as she mentioned how it looked. He knew how bad it was, but he also didn't want to push her, and frankly, he was exhausted himself. " I think I can hang on for one more day Evie. I...I'm pretty tired." he figured if he made it sound like he was the issue, that she would be more willing to rest. He couldn't keep going at this pace if he was worried about her, he knew she was tired, and he needed her to be taken care of.
She was concentrating on the bite as if her mere stare would fix it. He knew people thought she was a daughter of Apollo, but he didn't think so. He had seen Apollo kids be claimed left and right as they entered camp, and she had not been claimed yet. He figured if she was Apollo's it would have happened by now. " Evie, I love you, but you can't keep trying to fix me ok? I'll be alright I promise." oh crap. Had he said that out loud? His blue eyes grew wide. He had told Evie he loved her like it was no big deal! Holy crap.
Chewing on the inside of his lip he looked down at her nervously. Had she picked up on it? Hades if he knew. Though not knowing was going to drive him crazy. Without another word he ran his hand back over her cheek, his eyes on hers. Looking into those eyes for an answer before taking a deep breath and just going for it. He leaned in slowly, and softly pressed his lips to hers for a moment before quickly breaking it. " I promise I'll be ok, but lets get something to eat and rest." Pretend all of that didn't happen..sure...thats real brave Son of Ares.....
There were very few people in this world that Aiden would go above and beyond for, and Evie was on the top of the list. He would do anything for her, and he was not ashamed to admit that fact. Travelling together to Camp Jupiter was proving to be interesting to say the least, and every time they stopped to rest, he would stay awake well past the time she fell asleep, just watching over her, keeping an eye on things and making sure that no harm came to her. More than once he knew that monsters were lurking in the darkness, but thank the gods for his credit cards and the inheritence his mother had left for him, it helped them stay at hotels at least on the way instead of having to sleep on the ground. Not that he was above that, he had a tent for them rolled up and on his back pack, but he wanted her to be comfortable.
The chimera had been quite an interesting turn of events. Not something he wanted to deal with, and the bite that it had managed to give him was burning like Hades. Though he didn't want to worry Evie so he didn't mention it. Though he did use a little bit of ambrosia, just enough to try to heal it, but it was taking a bit longer since they were having to run. He just needed a moment to be able to rest and maybe that would help, he hated feeling weak, but he knew that it was inevitable when battling monsters on their way to safety. He knew how much Evie had wanted to make friends with the little dog, but clearly that had not gone the way they might have hoped.
Running with her, he had held tightly to her hand, making sure she kept up with him, and didn't fall. Keeping her that close to him made him feel more at ease, and as they stopped at the gas station he looked around quickly, catching his own breath as she panted he turned his blue eyes to her. " Hey, don't say that." he reached out and ran a hand gently over her cheek and up into her hair, trying to show her that he didn't care about any of that. " You aren't holding me back Evie. I am keeping you safe, that is all I care about ok?" He knew she was exhausted, he could see it on her face and he frowned deeply. Pulling out the map he sighed, " Its still a little way, but not too bad. Though we can rest tonight again if you want before we head there. Or we can keep going after we eat. Its up to you. How worn out are you?"
He looked around, trying to figure out what to do next. " Honestly Evie, I think I need to stop, give this bite time to heal." he looked down at his arm, frowning at how angry it looked. The town they had managed to make it too was pretty small, but it looked like there was a little hotel down the road a bit. " we can sleep here tonight and set out early if you want....its up to you." Truth be told, he had been enjoying the time away from the rest of the camp, time alone with her. Yeah, he shouldn't think that way, but he had such a crush on Evie since she arrived at camp, and he couldn't help himself.
For the longest time, everyone just though that Aiden was to be frank, a jerk. Though the truth of the matter was, the boy was dealing with things that no one should have to deal with at a young age. LOss makes you someone you wouldn't normally be. He has a very strong personality, he is a fighter through and through in every since of the word. He does not bully people, he actually will rip someone apart if he sees them bullying anyone, especially a certain girl that he feels the need to protect. He is a protector for sure, always trying to be there for someone when they need him, and will go above and beyond to ensure they are safe and feel like they are wanted in this life and the next. Of course, as most sons of Ares, he has a tempermental streak. His tends to come out more when he's pushed too far. Rage tends to run just below the surface with him, boiling away like the fire of a thousand suns.

TW: DEATH [break][break]
Military brat. That was what they loved to call you and the other kids like you. Aiden grew up very much in the military life style. His mother, Zoe, was a warrant officer in the United States Marine Corps. She went in right after she graduated from high school and slowly worked her way up the ranks. She was one of the best in her unit, even as a female. Most underestimated her, but one man didn't. By man of course, it was a god. The god of war himself, Ares. He met Zoe at a bar one night after she came home from deployment and they had a rather torrid and heated love affair, resulting in Zoe becoming pregnant. She was a little put out at first, but the moment that little boy was born and held onto her finger, she was lost. He was her pride and joy, and she loved him. [break][break]
She stayed in the marines, wanting to make sure that her son had the life he deserved, but she was afraid. Ares had finally told her who he really was while coming to see his son, and informed her that when he was older, he would need to go to camp Half Blood to train. So, at age eleven, his mother heading over seas for her next deployment, she dropped him off at the border of Camp for the summer. No monster attack, nothing like that, just mom dropping her son off for summer camp. Had he known that was going to be the last time he saw his mother, he would have hugged her harder. [break][break]
When he first got to camp, Aiden was a wide eyed kid wanting to learn all he could. He was claimed by his father at his first bonfire, and he thought that things were going to go well. At the end of summer he would get to go home and tell his mother all about it. Though, that wasn't how things shaped up for him. It was three weeks until the end of summer when Chiron and Mister D pulled him into the Big House. There they told him that word had come from his father, his mother had been killed in action. Aiden stared at them like they were insane, not wanting to believe it, yet, it was true. Along with the word from his father was the gift. Two fighting knives that Chiron explained to him the history of, they were cursed, but they were also enchanted and could be helpful for him, they were a gift from his father. [break][break]
Anger rolled over the boy, how could they think knives were going to make things better? How in the world could that possibly help things be better? After that, he became quiet, some believing he was either stuck up or a total jerk. Though that was far from the truth. Aiden just didn't have anything to say. He was at a loss. His mother had been the one person he always knew he could count on and she was gone. It hurt. It tore him apart. He trained, he learned to fight, learned how to use his gift of Telumkinesis, and tried to make some friends, even if it was difficult. He made a few from the other cabins, steering clear of his siblings as to be honest, the majority of them were bullies. AIden could not stand bullies. [break][break] MOre than once he had gotten into fights stopping bullying. His anger had gotten ahold of him the rage unreal as he fought, not letting them forget that they had hurt someone else. Though no one made him feel more protective than a certain dark haired, blue eyed girl who had not yet been claimed. So of course, she was put in the Hermes cabin, he felt bad about that, wishing he could do more for her. She was a couple years younger than him, but he from that first moment of meeting her felt the need to protect her. She was sweet, and as she got older her found himself realizing how down right beautiful she was. He just couldn't help but feel drawn to her. She made him feel something for the first time in a long time. He had tried dating other girls at camp, but nothing stuck, because they all seemed to see the eyes he had for Evie. [break][break]
When the fire broke out at camp and they were all fighting for their lives, there was only one thing he could think of in that moment, and that was getting her out. Getting her to safety. He searched camp for her and when he found her he made her stick by his side so that when it was all said and done he would know she was alright. Aiden could not lose the only other true anchor he felt to this world. Chiron told them they should all start making their way to Camp Jupiter, and for a moment, he had considered just asking her to come with him and find a place they could be safe. Unfortunately, that seemed to be the safest recourse. [break][break]
They travelled together towards California, but as they were making their way there they came across a little stray puppy, of course, Evie wanted to keep it. That was until it slowly started getting bigger, and bigger, and just so happened to be a chimera. Aiden tried to fight it off, but after a nasty bite from it, they had to run, and run they did. They had to hide out for awhile, and it wasn't until very recently that they made it to Camp Jupiter.
Telumkinesis: Aiden has the power of Telumkinesis; though he hasn't fully realized all of what he can do with it. He never mastered the ability to always summon a weapon to him, in fact, more than once he has tried and it never would show up. Rather embarassing for a son of the god of war. Though he does excel at two things from it, cursing weaponry and being able to change the weapons into a different material. He is pretty adept at disarming, but he would never claim to be a master of every weapon, even with his power. [break][break]
Twin Fighting Knives: Aiden was gifted twin 16inch celestial bronze fighting knives, with the hilts they are each 24inches. They have an enchantment upon them that when (if) he is disarmed they automatically return to his hand. However, they are also cursed. If he uses them for too long, they start draining his strength and if he does too much say in a huge battle, killing too many monsters, it starts to tear his soul apart a little at a time. Its not safe for him to use them for more than small battles.
