Emma is very kind, caring, empathetic and she seems to have lots of positive energy to give out, but that side of her isn’t available to everyone. To most people, she may initially seem a bit sarcastic, standoffish and cold if she isn’t familiar with you. But once she’s spent some time with you, she will reveal her true self. The part of her that is very lively, kind, passionate, and mischievous. Although she can be adventurous, Emma is a homebody by nature and has days where she just needs to be indoors with a blanket, a good series, and a warm beverage with rum in it, so she can recharge her batteries. She never runs out of things to do indoors, such as little art projects that she’s been working on, a long list of series she plans to watch, an even longer list of books she’d like to read, recipes she wants to try and Many, Many more things. She particularly likes people she can be goofy with indoors and outdoors because when she’s done recharging her batteries, she’s almost always the first person to suggest a new and crazy adventure to go on.[break][break]

But like all humans, it isn’t just all positives with this woman. She has an evil side. Her temper is quite explosive and when she is offended, Emma can quickly transform into a heartless ice queen. This usually causes the room she is in to become colder. When in this state, she can be extremely sadistic, cold, and calculating and she will not hesitate to ruin a person’s life or at least freeze off a finger or two. Some people say she fluctuates between being an energetic, kind, and caring person to being a psychotic demon because her star sign is cancer. But she doesn’t like that because she doesn’t even believe in that kind of stuff.[break][break]

TRIGGER WARNING: (Violence and death) [break] [break] Born in the snowy city of Toronto Canada, Emma always felt at home in the cold weather. Her mother was a lecturer at a nearby university, her father was a policeman and she also had a brother who was three years older than her. While most of her early life was pretty normal, she had always sensed tension between herself and her father. It was something she couldn’t quite explain but she could just feel it. As she got older, she assumed that tension would eventually fade away, but it seemed to grow the more she got older. Her father seemed to like her brother much more than he liked her. At first, Emma assumed her father favored her older brother because her older brother was a decent Ice hockey player. Since Ice hockey was her father’s favorite sport to watch. [break][break]

So, Emma joined a local ice hockey team in hopes of building a bond with her father. Emma excelled in ice hockey and seemed to be a natural at it. Skating on the ice felt natural to her, almost as if the ice wanted to help her. In a short amount of time, Emma became one of the best players on her team. But even though her parents came to her games and watched her win awards, the relationship between her and her father continued to worsen. By the time she had turned thirteen, her father got injured in the line of duty. As an injured police officer, her father was compensated for his service and spent most of his time home getting drunk, and the more he drank the angrier he became at Emma, for reasons she couldn’t understand.[break][break]

Everything finally made sense when Emma was fifteen, she had come home from hockey practice early. Her brother was still at practice and her mother was still working, which meant she was home alone with her father for that awkward afternoon. At first, there was a deafening silence between them. But her father was more drunk than usual on that afternoon and he finally slipped up and revealed why he had never liked her. “Ya little brat. You’re not even my kid…. You’re the living reminder of an affair… ya little sh*t” her father confronted her with irritation in his voice. At first, she found it difficult to believe, but hearing his words instantly made her understand the disdain in this man’s eyes whenever he looked at her. She ignored her father’s confrontational words, but she did consider the fact that her father might have been another man.[break][break]

Sadly, ignoring her father only angered him, he quickly hurled a bottle at her head which she managed to dodge. ”oh, you think you’re smart huh? Let’s see you dodge this!” he yelled while charging at her in a drunken stupor. As he tried to attack her, she threw her hands up defensively and closed her eyes as they welled up with tears. Emma waited for a few seconds with her eyes closed and her hands up, but no attack came. Then she heard the unsettling sound gargling or choking. When she finally opened her eyes, she was shocked to find out that her father had suddenly been impaled by an Ice spike with the length and width of a hockey stick. The room’s temperature had dropped to below freezing and the windows and doors were covered by a thin layer of ice. Emma sat there in the living room and watched the life fade from her father’s eyes as he choking on his own blood and his body become cold.[break][break]

When her mother and brother returned home, her mother burst out in tears at the sight of her dead husband, then she lovingly held Emma. ” I feared this would happen.” was all Emma’s mother could say. She had seen the tension between her daughter and her husband grow over the years and had always hoped it wouldn’t come to this. Eventually, Emma’s mother told her the truth about her biological father, the infidelity that resulted in her birth and then she instructed her to leave and go to camp half-blood to avoid being connected to this murder. Emma was given money to leave Canada and the true story of her father’s death was never revealed to the local police.[break][break]

Upon reaching camp half-blood, Emma was claimed after a year. The more time she spent there, the more she improved her abilities with her powers, but when camp half-blood was burnt down Emma went back to Canada for a few dats to visit her mother and her brother. After her two-week hiatus, she headed to camp Jupiter after hearing about it from her father Boreas.

Emma’s cryokinesis is closely linked to her emotions which explains why a room she is in can suddenly become cold when she is angry. As the daughter of Boreas, she has a high resistance to cold weather and she can use ice and snow in various ways for combat purposes. Emma can create swords, spears, and small projectiles made of ice for combat. She can also focus her cold energy on her fists and leave instant frostbite-like bruises on someone when she punches or touches them. [break][break]

However, her true power shows itself when she is in a place with naturally occurring snow. Emma can manipulate the snow around her to alter a battle terrain for her benefit or use the snow and ice in her environment to create ice spikes from the ground to impale her opponents or other ice constructs. Sadly, these abilities are only possible when she is surrounded by snow.[break][break]
WEAKNESSES:[break]

Emma’s power is severely weakened in hot places since her ability to create ice out if nothing depends on freezing hydrogen and oxygen particles in the air around her, the more humidity there is in the air the more ice she can make. In hot environments, the air isn’t very humid, which means she has fewer materials in the atmosphere to make ice with. People with pyrokinesis also have a natural advantage over her, but she can overpower them if they fight her in a place with naturally occurring snow or near a body of water.[break][break]

AEROKINESIS:
Emma has very limited control over the air. She isn’t particularly good at using it because it’s pretty difficult to control something you can’t see. Plus, air is a very fickle element to work with. When she’s in a pinch Emma can release a cold gust of wind to push enemies back and deflect projectiles like arrows and throwing knives. She can also use air to propel herself higher when she jumps or to slow herself down and land safely from a fatal fall. That is pretty much the extent of her aerokinesis.
