[ OUTGOING, FUN-LOVING ] - Unlike the stereotype, Jonathan is a very outgoing and people-loving person. He doesn't necessarily share the common belief that machines are better than humans. He's known to make friends wherever he goes and strikes up conversations at random. He's always up for adventures and mischief, doesn't mind bending the rules in his favor, and just likes having a good time. Although a kind-natured soul he can often come off as arrogant and rude as being in the first cohort and having certain friends has boosted his pride.[break][break]

[ OPTIMISTIC ] - Someone has to be right? Jonathan always tries to see the good in whatever situation he or others might find themselves in. It helps him to stay calm in stressful situations. Having an optimistic outlook on things, in general, keeps his spirits up and he prefers grasping even the smallest bit of hope than entirely letting go of it and giving up.[break][break]

[ CHAOTIC ] - A weakness of his is that he can be quite messy and forgetful. His things tend to be scattered everywhere and he has a hard time finding anything. He's never punctual, always forgetting his training schedule, and could be regarded as the god of excuses. Losing track of time is nothing rare. However, he has embraced the chaos and just lives with it, not giving any f-'s about it. Confused is his unofficial middle name and disorder his last.[break][break]

[ HARDWORKING ] - Finally a trait expected of a son of Vulcan. Jonathan is someone who puts all his energy and commitment into a task. He has a general dislike of not finishing stuff, despite his chaotic nature, and doesn't mind putting lots of effort into the aforementioned task. This usually applies to forging his own abilities and refining his fighting skills. He can oftentimes be found training for hours straight until he finally feels accomplished.[break][break]

[ JEALOUS ] - One out of two traits inherited by his father, Jonathan tends to be quite jealous. Growing up he always envied his half-siblings and their ability to be expert builders. While he has gotten used to not being like them and has chosen the part of a warrior instead, but part of him still envies them for their calm natures. He dislikes others taking his possessions without permission and can be very defensive when it comes to his friends.[break][break]

Jonathan was the result of a fiery one-night stand between his mother and Vulcan. He was raised in Los Angeles where he lived until he moved to Camp Jupiter. Growing up with his mother, who was working as a sculptor and owned her own workshop and studio, Jonathan had lived a rather quiet and uneventful life. He spent a lot of time in his mother's studio or at home with a private tutor and nanny. His family was well off, his mother has made quite a name in the industry but that also meant she didn't have a lot of time for him. [break][break]

Having no one to really supervise his activities in his free time, Jonathan caused a lot of trouble when he was in school. Not the sort involving picking fights or bullying, nah. He tended to tinker with other people's things and setting things... and maybe a student... on fire. He was around 13 when the incident that included a student got him expelled from school. Fire is by nature a very chaotic element, one that is hard to control. [break][break]

Later that day the student and his friends sought him out near his house in Beverly Hills. He didn't fear them so he followed the group into a forest-y area nearby. Jonathan was never the kind of person to pick fights but pushing the right buttons multiple times did the trick. The boys weren't aware of the bush fire that had started in the same area and was rushing towards them. By the time it was close they were engaged in a fistfight, Jonathan's face all bruised and bloody. He was losing, not being much of a fighter back then.[break][break]

When the fire had arrived only Jonathan and one of the boys, the student he had accidentally set on fire at school, were left. The flames were circling around them, trapping them. Unfortunately, the two of them were exhausted to the point of both fainting before they had a chance to even attempt to escape. Jonathan embraced the heat it brought, wrapping around him like a blanket. [break][break]

The next morning he woke up at home, unscathed, with the exception of the bruises from the fight. The other boy didn't survive. Jonathan had no idea how he managed to survive the flames, sure of being completely engulfed by them. His mother didn't care. She was busy with work and all that mattered to her was that he was still alive and in one piece. The firefighters who rescued him had no explanation either, calling it some sort of miracle. One week later he found himself at the Wolf House. One month later he found himself half-naked after accidentally burning off his own pants. He trained, hard, ambitious to survive and go to Camp Jupiter. He was pretty sure no one at home cared whether or not he returned. So he set a goal, a challenge perhaps, to make it to Camp and become the opposite of what he used to be. He wasn't born a warrior but he could certainly be molded into one - just like a lump of metal could be molded into a shining and sharp blade. Upon arriving at camp he was sorted into the first cohort with sparkling recommendation letters.

[ PYROKINESIS ] - Jonathan has the ability to generate, control, and manipulate fire to his will. He can bend the fire at his will, create flames out of nowhere, is resistant to heat and the fire itself so it does not burn him. He can also raise his body temperature using this power. As an experienced demigod, he can easily summon a flame out of thin air, shape it, alter the size and control the heat. He can withstand fire to a certain extent without getting burned by it but it's time-limited and dependant on the temperature of the fire. If the material allows it he can transfer a flame to a weapon. Although being experienced and trained, using his powers for too long physically drains him. His skin and hair, technically his body, may be resistant to fire but everything else is pretty much flammable and burns if he isn't careful. E.g. clothes. He's fully content with his ability, which might have provided help in learning to control it, as he is not afraid of it.[break][break]

[ CRAFTSMANSHIP, FORGERY ] - Jace has always been different in comparison to his father Vulcan. He's known to be more of a fighter than a forger, however, he still spends a great deal in the forge - just not as much as other children of Vulcan or Hephaestus. His favorite items to work on are weapons and traps. He has vast knowledge about forging and crafting from his mother. His main power is solely manipulating fire so he doesn't have any magical abilities in this section, which is one of the main reasons why he's more of a warrior.[break][break]
