Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

Following the training session she offered to help Jax to the infirmary. She hadn't intended to break his nose but when they got into sparring they tended to get rather rough. It was their way of testing each other and pushing each other. Claire liked the opportunity to be pushed a bit farther when it came to her training. It made her think and have to analyze if she was to win the spar. Though against Jax many of those ended up in losses.
She was still in her armor and had grabbed her things prior to heading with him to the infirmary. Hopefully someone was around to give them a hand. Claire couldn't simply just leave him to head there himself. After all it was her fault for it happening. Not that sometimes he didn't deserve it. In the end he was her brother and she cared for him not that she ever would openly admit to it.
Entering the infirmary she glanced around to have a look around for anyone. She led Jax over to an empty bed. She had been in here far too many times than she cared to admit. Most times she brushed things off as though they were nothing because she hated seeming weak especially in front of others. She let a light sigh escape her lips as she ran her fingers through her dark hair. Her blue eyes once more returning to look at Jax. She doubted he was very happy with the outcome. She would deal with the consequences of that late if it came to it.
Jax had accepted Claire's outstretched hand, helping him to his feet. She had then suggested that he might swoon had she not graciously walked with him to the infirmary and he had laughed. He was certain that the real reason had more to do with her wanting to gloat that she had bested him over concerns of him fainting. Jax had only fainted twice in his life and they had both been due to fighting his dammdest. Once while during a war game when he hadn't listened to his body that had screamed for him to stop using his powers. Knock out. Then again when he was fighting a daughter of Bellona who had shattered three ribs. That time he had passed out from the pain. He could still remember the agonizing breaths he had taken before he had been KO'd.
The walk to the infirmary wasn't a long one but the longer he went without the bone being healed, the worst the pain got. By the time they reached the Infirmary itself, Jax was in an especially irritable mood. Not only had his own half-sister busted his nose, but he had lost. To a third co-hort member. It was embarrassing. Claire motioned to a bed that was empty and Jax very irritably commented, "I don't need a bed. I'm not a helpless probatio." He had stopped holding the shirt to the wound, the area had stopped bleeding as they had made their way there. He didn't know if that was a bad sign or not, but the longer they waited before someone came the more irritable he became.
Claire seemed to be patiently waiting for a medic to stop by and Jax very much decided he had enough of that. "Medic." He didn't yell it, though he did raise his voice loud enough for it to carry. He looked over at Claire, "While we're here would you like to break my legs too? Maybe dislocate my jaw? I mean, we clearly have the time." He crossed his arms in impatient irritation as a younger Probatio poked their head into the hallway, telling them to go to the first door on the right and that a medic would be right with them. Jax didn't wait for further instruction as he went to the empty room, stepping inside as his eyes fell upon yet another bed. "Don't say it. Don't you dare say it."
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] Rolling his eyes at being called again he turned off the faucet. "I’ll be right there. Don’t bleed on my floor!" The healer called over as he continued assembling the herbs for an ointment that was needed by another legionnaire who refused to waste nectar or ambrosia on his injury. Ah, pretending to be tough, as usual.
Once done he washed his hands thoroughly, although the smell of some herbs would still linger on his skin regardless, and dried them with a towel. Noah strode over to the patient’s area, where blue eyes spotted two familiar faces. Two demigods of Mars, what a joy. He draped the towel over his shoulder before grabbing the sheet off of an empty bed.
"Hollins, please, there are children running around here," he commented on the blonde’s obvious lack of clothing, swiftly tossing him a clean bed sheet. "Cover up, coconut." Noah sat down on the empty bed, curious eyes looking at the two of them. His gaze fell on Jax whose face was smeared with blood which explained the lack of shirt on him as he was using it to stop the bleeding.
The son of Apollo couldn’t help but chuckle softly. "A broken nose? I thought you Mars guys were oh-so-tough." As he finished his sentence his gaze wandered over to Claire for a moment, his eyebrows flicking up briefly before he returned his attention back to the son of Mars. "Would you like a new nose or?"
Claire rolled her eyes at his comment. Clearly he was irritated and at the moment she didn't care. "You act like I really meant it. It isn't like I had intended to break your nose..." she muttered rather annoyed. She shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest. She knew he was mad about losing, but certainly he couldn't be a winner every time. As much as he wished that was true. As they headed to the room she didn't say anything else. There was no reason to throw more fuel on the fire.
Claire watched as Noah walked into the room. She gave a light nod of greeting. She hadn't said anything since more or less trying to avoid another argument. Guess that was just a sibling thing, siblings quarreled all the time. Not that Claire wasn't able to handle it. She just assumed he was irritated and angry as is, if she kept poking any further her might explode.
At his comment about the broken nose and how tough children of mars could be she smiled. Maybe it was slightly amusing. Not that she would admit it out loud in front of Jax. That comment from her would certainly cause some other arrogant comment in return. Claire would look between the two with her blue gaze carefully.
Jax had let his head fall back, a groan of irritation leaving his lips. He had never been blessed with patience to begin with. Now that he was in pain, the boy was a sheer nightmare to deal with and he was well aware of that. A voice called out and warned him not to bleed on the floor and Jax frowned, "Oh yeah, my bad. I thought we were in the infirmary, didn't realize this was the Mess Hall." Was it smart to retort sarcastically back to the person who was about to mess with the bones in your face? No. Was that going to stop him? Also, no. He mused that if he couldn't bleed in here then there was no proper place to bleed at and that was a shame.
Noah walked into the room, commenting on his lack of clothing and Jax found himself grinning. "I think you should thank me actually. I'm clearly boosting the morale in this place." The other boy tossed him a bed sheet and Jax opened it up, giving a very unsure look before speaking. "What do you want me to do with this?" He tried putting it around himself but it looked too much like how a girl would wear. Then he attempted a toga which also didn't work. He wasn't cold and felt absolutely ridiculous putting it around himself like a blanket. Instead, he laid it on the empty bed that he refused to sit on.
Noah made fun of him and Jax caught Claire's smile at the comment. "Oh I'm sorry, is this funny to you guys?" The indignation clear in his voice. "Maybe I can throw myself under a chariot and you two can have a big laugh together." He rolled his eyes, clearly ready to have this all over and done with. Noah then asked him if he wanted a new nose and Jax tried to reel in his irritation. The boy was about to reconstruct his face, he supposed he should be a little nicer. "Just back the way it was if you don't mind. Before misses I can't win so let me break your face did her thing." He was positively sulking at this point. He leaned against the bed, letting the other demigod get a clear view of the wound.
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] "Who were you trying to impress, Hollins?" the healer asked, hands resting on top of his thighs. His gaze swept over the room habitually to make sure it was clean and everything was where it was supposed to be. "I mean I’m flattered but no thank you," he quipped, smiling innocently as he joked around. "You’re supposed to wrap it around, like a god you know? I thought you would know since you clearly aspire to be like one." Noah answered. The blond watched him struggle with the sheet before it was tossed aside, resulting in a soft roll of his eyes and a sigh.
He pulled one of the medical room dividers located in arm's reach of him and blocked out all curious glances. After Jax’s next comment Noah couldn’t help the real roll of his eyes at the annoyed son of Mars, mirroring his so they both rolled their eyes at each other. "Please, save me the workload that comes with patching your body back together." Working in the Infirmary and as a healer, in general, had taught him how to deal with those thickheaded and stubborn children of war. In fact, the trick was to ignore most of the things that came out of their mouths.
Warm eyes focused on the broken nose when Noah took Jax’s face in both his hands, holding his head still. "Now, hold still, or else you might end up with a witch’s nose. All crooked and hideous." He winked at him as he said it, before gently pinching the other blond’s nose along the bridge. It probably hurt a little but he needed to get a feeling for the damage that wasn’t visible to the naked eye first. Noah applied more pressure when he spotted the initial break, the bone underneath the skin letting out a quiet but audible crack.
"She really got you good." Noah felt the blood pumping through Jax's veins as he let go of the nose, another nosebleed was possible but not unexpected to him. He wasn't done but he figured he might grant him a break in between.
Claire knew first hand how stubborn children of Mars can be. She herself was sometimes overly stubborn. Though she could tell Jax was just angry she bested him. "Again Jax I didn't have to break your nose to win, it as a simple accident" she said shaking her head at him. She was used to his attitude so she took no offense from him. But his actions reminded her so much of that of a child. "For someone who likes being tough your acting much like a small child. Just let Noah do his job." she told him.
Claire was being truthful in the fact that she had beaten him before with out breaking any of his bones. It was an accident, not that she didn't believe he deserved it. Maybe it would knock him off his high horse. Though Claire remained silent to allow Noah to do his job. Best let him concentrate or she would probably not ear the end of it from him.
Claire was sure she may certainly be in for it come her next spar with Jax. Nothing she couldn't prepare for. Next time she would try and beat him without breaking anything. It would be a challenge but Claire was always up for a challenge. Of course seeing anyone in pain wasn't easy but she could not change what happened.
As Noah made fun of him, Jax wondered if maybe his half-sister had actually killed him and he was now serving time in some sort of purgatory Hades. He had done his best to be on his mostly-best behavior. He had prayed to his father…occasionally. He had followed almost every order his Praetors had thrown his way. On the whole, he was the picture of shining legionnaire behavior. Why he was being subjected to these two was beyond his understanding.
Perhaps it was the pain in his nose that seemed to pulse and radiate like it was cursed that was causing his bad mood. Or maybe it was simply the fact that neither of them showed any remorse or sympathy for his current situation. Either way, both of those things all wrapped up to equal one very unhappy son of Mars. Jax could only give a soured frown in response to the joke that Noah had spoken. Noah with his perfectly un-broken nose who sat there pleasantly quipping with his half-sister.
"I don't have to aspire to be a god. It comes naturally." The comment warranting a cocky grin from his lips which of course made his nose hurt more. A fact that brought him right back into the land of irritation. Noah asked him politely not to throw himself under a chariot and before he could offer up another sarcastic comment, Claire spoke up again about it being an accident. "Actually that's where we slightly disagree. I think it's pretty clear that you weren't going to win." He turned his attention back to Noah, "I had the upper hand. Literally, she had nowhere to go. No moves to make." His looked back at Claire. "Unless you maim, which had it not been done to me personally I might approve of." Truthfully, he didn't care anymore about whether it was intended or not, he just wanted this whole ordeal over with so they all could move on.
Claire then called him a child and Jax launched towards her. He had never been the most patience nor cool-tempered demigod out there. That and the pain was truly not working in his half-sister's favor. He intended to tackle her, wrestling her to the ground until she gave up and cried for mercy, broken nose be danged. Unfortunately for him, Noah had appeared in front of his vision, hands bracing against him. Jax was certain that he could take the other boy, but tossing your healer around wasn't exactly a smart move. So he forced a breath in and out as he pursed his lips, his eyes promising retaliation to his sister as he stayed planted where he stood.
Noah's hands were then on either side of his face and he forced himself to drop the fighting with his sister and focus on the other boy. The other boy was indeed right. He decidedly did not want to end up with a witch's nose.
The other boy winked at him and Jax could only note it one second before a shot of pain came over his face. One muffled grunt left the boy's lips as the pain crested then quickly subsided to a dull ache. Jax resisted the urge to touch it as Noah moved away. He felt a trickle of blood begin to run down and he grabbed his shirt and again pressed it to the wound like an old friend. He dabbed it carefully before pulling it away. "Does it look normal?"
[attr="class","THREAD1CONTENT"] The son of Apollo rolled his eyes at the two of them and their constant bickering about who had the upper hand in their fight, who could have won, bla bla bla. He patiently sat, waiting for them to finish so he could finally move on to take care of the injury so he could get it out of the way and get his other tasks done. Noah nodded absentmindedly, really not caring a lot about any statistics or combat moves. Until suddenly Jax jumped up from the bed and hauled himself at the daughter of Mars. Noah let out a grunt and a curse under his breath as he moved to get in between the two. If there was one thing he loathed and certainly forbade at the Infirmary it was fights of any sorts, even arguments were a no-go in this sacred place that was supposed to provide quietude and peace to the injured who were in dire need of healing.
He gave the other demigod a silent but stern warning with a single glare, having put his hand on his shoulder. Although he wasn’t the biggest fan of using the deadly and painful part of his powers, he didn’t mind using the not so painful part of it to slow his heartbeat, forcing him to calm down. He didn’t, yet, and he wouldn’t unless the blond decided to go mad once more.
Noah raised his eyebrows at Jax when he asked if his nose looked normal. "No," he said, his tone flat without the faintest hint of humor. "I wasn’t done yet. Now, if you would let me finish my work before you throw yourself into the next fight, that’d be appreciated." He sighed, giving it a second or two before he decided it was safe enough to continue and the son of Mars wouldn’t suddenly jump up to pick a fight with his half-sister. The son of Apollo put his hands back around the nose, feeling for the rest of the damage done. Fixing cuts was one thing. That was fairly simple and easy, a snap of his fingers and done. A broken bone required more work, more care. He needed to be careful, especially if the danger of bone splinters lingered behind the skin and flesh, an invisible enemy to any healer.
The bone didn’t make another sound, the nerves and skin slowly merging back together, seeking the other side like a wilted flower bud seeking the sun. Now, he was done. Noah slid back on the stool he was sitting on, crossing his arms and draping one leg over the other. Still focused eyes observed Jax’s nose but after a moment he gave it a nod of approval. "Looks pretty normal to me. But if you break it one more time I can’t promise you it’ll look as good as it does now," the healer told him, albeit half-joking. "You better win those fights in the future."
The blond turned to the bed behind him, grabbing one of the clean towels he brought earlier along with all the other supplies, and once more tossed the piece of fabric at Jax. "Geeze, Hollins. Stop using that dirty, sweaty shirt of yours. All you will accomplish is to invite infection and if that happens chances are you will lose your nose."
Claire crossed her arms as she stood there. Her glare at Jax never lightened even more so as he lunged at her. Thankfully for her Noah got between them. Though the look of retaliation in his gaze was obvious to her. Not that she was scared to face him again. Claire watched silently keeping to her own. Figuring she would stop arguing with Jax at least for now. There would be enough time for that later. She knew well enough that Jax wasn't going to drop the fact she ruined his pretty face.
She couldn't hep but find some amusement in the fact her asked if his nose looked normal. She held the amusement back by a serious expression. Noah's comment about Jax winning fights from now on caused a smirk to play on her lips. Like she would let him win easily. She still had something to prove. That she didn't have to break his nose to win. She had a feeling Jax might be fighting with newfound determination to make her lose after today.
She shook her head slightly at Jax using his dirty shirt. "Don't wanna lose your nose Jax" she noted lightly to him. There wasn't any real ill intent or joking in her voice now. She remained calm and kept an even tone. Now that the worst of it was over she figured she could get going soon. More or less before Jax was ready to retaliate.
