Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

The air was warm and the sky clear up above the camp. Stella had nothing to do in her spare time so the young daughter of Trivia made her way to the garden. Maybe it was to get away from the commotion and loudness that many of the other popular areas of camp could be. Here the garden was almost always peaceful. She wandered through the rows with a soft smile dancing on her lips. She could simply stay her for the entire day if she was allowed to. Of course eventually she always had to go back.
Stella walked slowly and calmly through rows of flowers. Her fingers gently grazing some of the petals or vines as she passed. She wore a simple pair of shorts and her camp shirt. Her hair was left down to flow behind her as she walked. She could simply be practicing magic if she wished but she wasn't sure that was what she wanted to do in her spare time today.
She made her way over to the fountain of Bacchus and took a seat on its edge. For a moment her green gaze stared down at the waters reflection. She was not bothered by the Greeks like many seemed to be. Though it did make camp feel a tad bit crowded, more than usual. Hopefully they could sort things out and things could be normal. Or at least as normal as a demigods life could be.
Where better to be for a son of Bacchus, than the Garden of Bacchus?
Naturally that was where we find Nathan today. One of the great personality failings of Nathan was (among other things) his seemingly eternal desire to get hold of wine. To that end, it necessitated the use of a grapevine- something he was well acquainted with. This overriding desire interfered with his ambition to be an Aquilifer. More than once he had been collared by his Centurion for trying to grow a grapevine (just because they were a Centurion, didn’t mean they didn’t know what grapevines were for). So he had been secretly (as best as one could keep a secret in Camp Jupiter) growing a grapevine within the Garden of Bacchus (in the hope that he could invoke his father’s protection). So far the grapevine was growing as best it could for a plant that small.
Luckily for Nathan he had little else to do that day. His Centurion was pleased with the turn out for his Cohort’s barrack at the last inspection, so given him and his cohort some time off. Nathan had chosen to sneak off to his father’s garden to check up on the grapevine sapling that he had sequested there secretly.
He was pretty sure that no Centurion knew of his grapevine. If they didn’t know- sucks be to being them for not doing their job. To Nathan’s mind if you wanted to be a Centurion, you had to be as wily as the most work-shy legionnaire, since by right you had to know all the sly skiver’s tricks. Grapevines aside, there was much in the Garden of Bacchus he enjoyed. The flowers and shrubs that grew there seemed lush and lively- just like his father’s nature. Indeed, on occasion when he was there in the past he had noticed that it seemed the sort of place a child of Venus- or himself, could enjoy a sunny afternoon with someone they wanted to spend time with.
The grapevine would need water as well as the attention of the one who secretly planted it there months ago. It took more than careful weeding and kind words to make a grapevine grow strong and viral. True, he could have used the powers granted him by the virtue of being a son of Bacchus to make the grapevine grow strong, but Nathan wanted the grapevine to grow of its own accord. Some how it seemed natural to him. To that end he grabbed the water jug he left near to it and went to draw water from the fountain of Bacchus. Somehow it occurred to him that water drawn from there would have beneficial to the growth of the vine. Wandering to the fountain, the last thing he expected was to encounter someone else at the fountain. “Oh…” he said when he saw there was someone else there, “Hi…didn’t expect to see someone else here”. It was true- he hadn’t.

Stella remained seated by the fountain. She allowed a small thing of light dance in the palm of her hand. it was a simple magic and served to real purpose than to fill the void of her boredom. Many could find her in many places. This was surely one of those spots she came to just clear her head and relax.
Though her green gaze watched the small orb in her palm until she heard footsteps approaching. She closed her hand into a fist distinguishing the light. She turned her gaze to observe whoever had made their way over. "Oh..um hi" she said calmly. She hadn't intended to run into anyone else either. She tried to think of where she had seen him before, most likely a party or two. She didn't of course know him by name but she had certainly seen him before.
"Don't mean to be interrupting was simply coming out here to think and relax" she told him with smile. Hopefully he didn't mind. Though her green gaze took note of the water jug and realized her had come over to grab water. She wasn't all too sure as to what he needed it for but didn't question it.

Well...when all was said and done, it was NOT a Centurion sitting there. If there was, he might have got a response from this stranger, that was suspicion to say the least. Sure...he was a son of Bacchus and therefore it was expected that he might just be here. It was a place related to his father, so he obviously would be here sooner or later.
It was entirely possible that Stella had indeed seen Nathan around camp. As a son of Bacchus, it was emtirely possible he would have been at (or more accurately responsible for) a party that they both many have been at. Also, it was possible that she may have seen him heading past her barracks to his own- he was pretty tall and there were few guys as athletically muscled as him. For his part, he might well have seen her as well around camp...
"A good place to relax and chill out..." he said with a smile. Nathan knew a few campers came here to relax and chill out for whatever reason. It was a nice place to not only hide secret grapevines, but also to chill out- by oneself or with someone else. On occasion he had sneaked in there with a pretty girl and made out with them. However today was not one of those days as he wandered over the fountain and filled his water jug.

Stella ran her fingers through her hair and watched what he was doing. She was indeed curious but often wasn't one to pry on what others might be doing. There could have been the simple thought of him just watering the flowers in the garden. She had certainly seen him around camp. And if not around camp at a party or too. She had never gone up to him during them but certainly recognized him as the son of Bacchus. Often the one responsible for throwing the parties. Not that she minded as they were almost always good.
"Well that is definitely true enough. Not all the people around as most places in camp" she said to him. She enjoyed the peace the garden offered. It was a great place to have no distractions and practice magic. Without distraction focusing was a lot easier. Casting spells without focus could be dangerous, depending on the spells being used.
"I don't mean to pry but I am curious as to what the water is for" she said to him. Her emerald green gaze looked at him. There was no ill intent in her words. She was merely just curious as to what it was for. Even if the answer was simple one she didn't mind. Of course she understood if he didn't wish to say anything to her, it was not her place to know.

Girls running their fingers through their hair was a thing that Nathan often noticed about them. They did it when they were talking to him and were showing great interest into getting to know him better. Often there was a playful smile on their faces and on occasion lead to them going some place to make out. Needless to say Nathan had made out with a few girls in camp.
But that was not the case today. Nathan wasn’t an expert in body language, but he was pretty sure that she was curious about him and the water jug he was carrying. Certainly he would be if he was in her shoes.
Many kids came or were invited to the party that the children of Bacchus ran (or Third Cohort if he was the ringleader), so it was impossible to get to know everyone one of them. Without doubt he tried to- that was what a good host did and Nathan considered himself a good host. There were so many and they all blended in amongst the others that it was impossible to know too much about anyone. Parties that Nathan was involved with were more than just chances to have fun. Often- in his own way, they were chances for Nathan to give therapy to kids who were having problems. He was a good listener. Often all a kid needed was someone to just sit there and listen to their problems. Nathan never said anything- or much, but there was always a good chance the kid in question would feel better after talking to him.
The smile that crossed his light tanned skinned face showed he agreed with Stella. “That’s true…” he agreed. “I often come here to chill out if things get a little too loud around camp. Sometimes you need a place to go and be by yourself to get a handle of what is going on in your life”. That was true. He didn’t come here always to tend his grapevine or to make out in private. More than once he had come here to get the peace and quiet he needed to think. Like his future. Nathan had an ambition to be a Aquilier one day. That was his burning ambition in life. However, he knew it would be a hard road to get there. It seemed he had two bad habits: growing illicit grapevines and fraternizing with pretty girls whom he should be doing so. Well…that was who he was as a person. Other times he was there to think about his father. He knew that his father was out there somewhere. Maybe one day he would get to meet him and get to know him and maybe, his dad would be proud of him.
Nathan laughed. It was a laugh that matched his smile in nature. “Ah…yes” he said, “Figured someone would ask me that question one day”. He looked around him to see if there was anyone else around. “Can you keep a secret?" he asked. Nathan was pretty sure she could- she didn’t come across as a Centurion. “I have a grapevine here- in the garden. Being a son of Bacchus I have…ambitions, to make wine one day. Sooo…you can pretty much see why I got to keep my little baby hidden from the Centurions. They kind of don’t approve of that kind of stuff. I figured that here would be the best place to grow it safely” he said. Hefting the water jug he said, “Hence the reason I am using this”.

Stella was glad he agreed with her on that. For her it was a safety thing. Being overwhelmed or losing control when one possessed magic could be a dangerous thing indeed. Losing control could mean someone could get very hurt and she never like using her powers on another unless necessary. "Besides here is a great spot to focus, having magic one never wants to lose that control. Losing control could certainly be dangerous" she told him calmly. Her emerald eyes soft and calm as she observed him. Stella was not the type to flirt though many had flirted with her plenty of times.
"Well Nathan your secret is safe with me I assure you" she said to him. Stella had no reason to turn him in. Besides she wasn't one to gossip or anything. If someone told her to keep a secret she planned to do as much. As he explained the reasoning behind what he was doing so found herself rathe intrigued. "I am well aware they don't agree of it. But I hope it certainly works out for you. Will be interesting to see how it goes in the long run" she told him with a warm smile.
To have an ambition outside the Legion was always an interesting thing. He wanted to make wine and that was always a neat idea to have plans for the future. Stella had always thought about attending university afterwards, maybe using her magic to help others in some way. She had these abilities so why not use them. They would always be a part of her no matter what. "Sometimes we just gotta do what suites us best, and damm the consequences that follow" she told him. Her emerald gaze was locked on him as a smile danced on her lips.

The son of Bacchus looked about him reflectively. “Yeah…it is a good place to focus” he said. "Kind of ironic considering the fact my dad isn’t exactly the kind of guy to ‘focus’ on anything for too long. But…I can see why some of my more musical siblings might come here to stir their muse…” he admitted.
For his part, Nathan wasn’t sure if he should even try and flirt with this stranger in the garden. First of all, that was not even what he was there for- he had more important personal jobs to do here and Secondly, she was sure as Hades wasn’t here for that as well. Granted- yes, she was pretty and Nathan would not be who he was if he hadn’t thought- even for a second, of flirting with her half-heartedly. However today, he was about important business.
“Thank you- I appreciate that…really I do” he assured Stella as he beamed pleasantly in a non-flirty manner. He didn’t think there were many kids in camp (at least Roman ones) who would squeal like a piggy on him to the Centurions for his illicit grape growing caper. Most kid could be relied on because they understood how important the grapevine was to him or they didn’t see how growing one was in any way harmful or subversive in nature to the maintenance of good order in camp.
“I hope so too” he said with a hopeful tone in his voice. “If it works out, I will be able to take cuttings off it in the spring and try a propagate an few more grave vines- then maybe I can try and plant a secret vineyards here…for the future”. Nathan was looking to the future. To his mind, surely a vineyard would be the perfect thing for a Garden of Bacchus? It was his way of paying his own homage to his paternal father. It could work. Growing up he had worked on a vineyard and still remembered the skills he learnt from his grandparents and mother in working a vineyard.
Nathan gave a short laugh and looked at his feet for a second. “Well…some of us have to watch our asses” he said as he sat upon the edge of the fountain, “Maybe one of us plans to be an Aquilifer one day”. That role in the legion was one of great renown and responsibility. Nathan knew in his heart that was a goal in life he had to achieve. Of course, he was having run ins with his and few other Centurions. But not for stuff bad enough to warrant formal detention. Nathan knew he was courageous, honorable and dedicated to his cohort and his legion. Also he was big enough to carry the standard into battle easily and defend it- good luck to the monster who thought he could grab it off him without having to encounter considerable resistance from the son of Bacchus.
