[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]PERSONALITY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Darkness is a thing that is always lying sleeping in a person. Sometimes it opens its jaws and howls; other times, it quietly remains, waiting for the right moment to strike. For some, it could be put to bay over the years; for others, they aren't so lucky. A temper always came with this darkness, and sometimes, one just wanted to give in to it, let the emotions break them, and watch them swim.
[break][break]
Alessia had always had a temper, that much was for sure. Her competitive nature made it so, but she also had a good side. One that showed more often when she was younger. There is a balance within Alessia, but a mysterious one at that; some might even call her bipolar, moving from one emotion to the next within seconds. However, she's far from that disorder; instead, it's just her short-fuse temper.
[break][break]
While the young woman can be extremely loyal, flirtatious, and somewhat calm...whatever that means, she can also be quite coy. Many have noted that she can be pretty adaptable to the situations at hand and quite alert to her surroundings. She's bold, independent, confident, disciplined, observant, mature, and highly perceptive. However, just because she has so many positive traits to her demeanor doesn't mean they always show.
[break][break]
This is especially apparent after her twin sister's death almost three years ago; losing her made her let the darkness in. Made her angry, almost manipulative. She had lost all humor within herself and can be quite hypocritical. She's showing a cocky side, one that always hid in the darkness, compulsive and irrational behavior that shows its head from time to time. She's also quite impulsive when angry, not caring if she lives or dies. But Alessia makes sure to protect her own, putting her life before them. Some would call her a martyr, but she isn't; she's self-destructive.
[break][break]
And her anger? It's pointed directly towards the man that caused her pain, that broke her...a man that she wishes would have died instead. Nikolai Delaney.

Nineteen years ago, a woman met a man so Godly (pun intended) that she swooned at the mere sight of him. She had been young, a pretty fresh-faced college graduate that had found the guy among a crowd at a bar. Why did she go over to him? She never really knew, but something drew her to him, like an electrical current that raced through her. They hit it off pretty quickly, and before she knew it, they were back at her place getting it on. One thing led to another, and not long after he disappeared, leaving no trace that he ever existed, the fair maiden missed her period and realized the shocking truth. She was pregnant. And she wasn't just pregnant, oh no, that would have been too easy for the young woman. She was pregnant with twins, and a good nine months later, they came kicking into the world.
[break][break]
It was funny, actually; being a child of one of the big three should have been more, especially with twins. But they lived their lives as if it were any other, and by the time they were three, her mother remarried, and they relocated to Amityville, Long Island, New York. Maybe it was a sign that Camp Halfblood awaited, but in reality, Ciara had gotten a job at a local university, and their step-father Johnathan had been more than willing to relocate. The girls didn't complain, seeing as they were so young at the time. It was unbeknownst to any, including Johnathan, that it was all a part of Ciara's plan to get closer to the home of the demigods. She had learned some time after the truth of it all, maybe it was a dream, or perhaps it was reality - she never shared it with anyone, a secret that she would hold until the right moment.
[break][break]
They lived a good life there, a wonderful one. Each girl grew into beautiful little girls, the apple of their step-father's eyes and the pride of their mother. However, it was around the time they were eleven that everything changed. However, they had already started to show signs of the struggle of being demigods - dyslexia and all that fun stuff. It was around this age that they were attacked, their first encounter with a monster of lore. That was all it took for the two to be whisked away, sent to Camp Halfblood, and left behind by their mother. She told them that she had been planting little seeds of boarding school into their step-father's minds, knowing this day would eventually come. They hadn't to worry, and they didn't, not even as they stepped through the walkway.
[break][break]
Their arrival to camp was welcomed, but they were not claimed instantly. It seemed that their father, whomever he might be, was waiting. Or maybe he hadn't wanted them. It took a year before he finally did, the unfamiliar sign of Zeus appearing over their heads. Though Alessandra had been claimed first a few days prior, it was only a matter of time before Zeus had done the same for her. What made him wait, she had wondered. She never did get that answer. Things were pretty great from that moment on, at least until they turned sixteen.
[break][break]
Alessandra, skilled in combat and perfect at almost everything she put her mind to, had been picked for a quest. She had been paired with three other campers, and ultimately, it was going to be great. While Alessandra couldn't share much about the question, she promised to return, kissing her sister on the cheek. Neither of them knew that goodbye would be forever. They had gotten news that the quest was successful, but then, everything had gone downhill. Rumors spread like wildfire that everyone on that quest had died, and Alessia lost it. The darkness started to take hold of her, and her anger burned like a fire.
[break][break]
When one surviving member of the quest returned, Nikolai Delany, she blamed him. It was fault that Alessandra was dead, that she was all alone. Though she had other children of Zeus to call family, her blood sister's loss was worse. She promised Alessandra that day she would make him pay and get the revenge that she tasted on her tongue. He might not have killed her sister outright, but he was the reason she was gone. He didn't deserve to live.
[break][break]
She set on her mission to make his life a living Hades for the next three years. Snide comments here and there glares across the battlefield. He knew that she was angry, and she was glad. She despised the man, wanting nothing more than for his blood to stain her hands. She even wished that when Camp Halfblood burnt down, he had burned with it, but she wasn't so lucky. She had to watch as he, too, was moved to Camp Jupiter, mixing in with the Roman campers. Maybe one of them would kill him, now that would be divine.

[ ELECTROKINESIS ] Like many other children of Zeus and Jupiter, Alessia was gifted with summoning, controlling, and bending electricity. Unlike her sister, who seemed to take to it pretty quickly, it took Alessia a while to control it. Summoning it? That had been a piece of cake. But when it came to controlling and bending it to her will? That took some time. However, after the death of her sister, and the anger that boiled inside her, she practically took to it. She used her anger to fuel the electricity within her, to use every fiber of her being to control it. And after a while, she surpassed the stage that her sister was able to do, becoming stronger in this power. Eventually, it became second nature to her. And while she's gotten better at it, it is something that drains her pretty quickly. She's like a battery that drains the minute electrical current surges through her, but when she uses it gradually, she can last much longer.
[break][break]
[ AEROKINESIS ]
The ability to bend air and wind was always in her favor, something she found much easier to control since the beginning. She's used it a few times in battle, either to show an enemy far back or to use it as a wall when she's down. She even used it to send her teammate's arrow flying into the target they stupidly missed. She's also used it to help her dive faster towards her weapon, breaking the fall that definitely would have cut into her skin. Though Alessia had always wished she could fly with this ability, it had stopped one from getting a concussion or two when it came to falling - who said one couldn't fall with style? And just like electrokinesis, she finds that this drains her almost as quickly, leaving her practically breathless.
