Yes. You read that right. Greece has fallen...or at least the camp that has catered to Greek demigods for over three millennia has fallen. Camp Half-Blood had a traitor in their midst. A traitor with powerful allies who quickly burned the camp to the ground. Some were lost, some killed, and the rest who remained began the long trek across the country to the only place where they might be safe: Camp Jupiter.
Chiron banded what campers they had left, told them of the other camp and sent word to Camp Jupiter pleading for shelter. Chaos now threatens the camp daily with the arrival of new Greek campers to this foreign camp. This camp with strange customs and rules. While on the Roman end the Praetors are forced to hold up a balancing act of providing sanctuary while also trying to find the traitor before their home suffers the same fate as Camp Half-Blood.
New alliances are forged, new enemies are made, and these two worlds have to find some way to work together for the future of them all. Which side are you on? Which position will you take? It's time to jump in the fray because Greece has fallen.

She couldn't sleep. She hadn't been able to ever since they'd arrived at Camp Jupiter. Where she used to slumber peacefully in the relative quiet of the Poseidon cabin back home, she couldn't do so easily here in the Greek cohort barrack. Not only because of the uncomfortable feeling of sharing the sleeping area with far more people than she was used to, but also because she worried. Mila had wanted to stay behind and make sure everyone got out of camp, but one of the younger ones had nearly collapsed and she'd had to bring him to Camp Jupiter herself. She had never been much of a worrier, but now she did, thinking of the others who hadn't made it to their sanctuary yet.
There was no use tossing and turning in bed. With a frustrated sigh that Mila kept low so as not to wake any of the others, the daughter of Poseidon pulled herself out of the bottom bunk. Throwing on a denim jacket but keeping her tracksuit bottoms, she pulled her messy blonde hair up into a knot at the top of her head. At least there weren't any harpies here whose punishment for out-of-bed campers was digestion. Sure, the Romans patrolling the camp at night didn't take kindly to anyone wandering around, especially Greeks, but at least she was guaranteed not to be eaten.
The section of the camp she walked through was empty - curiously so. But Mila wasn't going to look a gift-horse in the mouth, and she wasn't going to stick her nose wondering where the Roman patrol went. Instead, she walked quickly and silently in the direction of the stables, the one place she always went to when she needed comfort. Her footsteps were light and barely audible as she passed the stalls, although the horses awoke with her presence. Most of them were Roman and didn't trust her very much, so she passed by them without stopping, heading for one closer to the end. As though he could sense her, Oreius stuck his head out of the bay when she was only halfway there.
Upon reaching him, she gave him a quick peck on the cheek, running her palm up and down his nose as she did so. At the very least, despite all the devastation of camp and the uncertainty of their future, at the very least she still had Oreius. She didn't know what she would have done if her beloved Pegasus had perished in the fire or on the journey to San Francisco.
Oreius didn't need any extra encouragement. The click of the latch was loud in the dead silence, but Oreius' hooves only whispered against the ground as he exited his stall. Together, girl and Pegasus left the stables, shoulder and flank touching as they walked side by side towards the forest. It had been their routine ever since they had arrived, both looking for peace and each other's company. The longer she spent with him, the more her worry dissipated, and when they were finally a few feet into the cover of the trees, Mila heaved another, smaller, sigh of relief. It was silent, restful, and the familiar Pegasus smell of Oreius wafted through the light breeze.
The quiet was interrupted as Oreius turned to look towards the side, his dark eyes studying the distance. There's a horse out there, he told her, and Mila turned to look in the same direction, just as the sound of something falling echoed between the tree trunks. Quick as a cat, Mila vaulted onto Oreius' back and he cantered forward in the next second, their movement so synchronised after over a decade together. They reached the horse and what looked to be a fallen male camper within a minute, and Mila jumped off before Oreius had stopped. Her eyes went first to the worried horse, who gave her a frantic look - Roman, not in the least bit inclined to give her a warm welcome, and she heard Oreius make an impatient snort behind her before tossing his mane irritably. Rude equine! Bow to your princess, a daughter of the sea god!
Mila ignored Oreius' posturing and the Roman horse's stuttered whicker, attention now focused on the male demigod. It didn't look like there were any odd angles, so he most likely didn't break anything when he fell. With a jolt, she realised his eyes were still open and looking up at the sky. Was he knocked out? She quickly knelt down and loomed over him, hands on his shoulders to shake him slightly, not too much in case he had a concussion. "Hey, are you alright?" The moon was briefly uncovered by the clouds, throwing his face into relief, and Mila recognised him at once. "Praetor Dareios? Gods. Can you hear me?"
[attr="class","hopeloveleft"]SEXUALITY // hetero (thinks she may be asexual)
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]PERSONALITY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
[ KIND ] - the value the mila treasures above all else is kindness. she fully believes in the phrase 'kill them with kindness', and tries her dangedest to live by this. of course, it can't always be helped that she forgets it, but she likes to believe the world can be healed with kindness. it's not something she really expects from just everyone else, nor does she take it for granted. mila is not naive about the true darkness in the world and in people, but still she hopes and looks for some inherent kindness in everyone. [break][break] [ LOYAL ] - mila would never betray someone's confidence, sometimes to the point where it becomes annoying because she sticks by this rigidly. a secret told to mila is a secret kept, and it is this loyalty and respect for others that has made her such a good and respected camp leader. when she has someone's back, she will fight for them to the end - which is why when someone betrays her trust, it is an irreversible process. [break][break] [ BRAVE ] - sticking to her principles and morals has made mila brave. not only that, but she is also often the first to go up against a monster to defend a camper, or stand up against others for the weak. one couldn't really classify her as reckless or a thrill-seeker, because mila likes to think she takes quite calculated risks. after all, there is a line between bravery and stupidity, and mila would hate for anyone to think she was stupid. [break][break] [ SYMPATHETIC ] - as much as possible, mila tries to put herself in other people's shoes, and treat others how she would like to be treated. this has made her a sympathetic and helpful person, always willing to lend an ear to someone's problems and worries. this does not automatically make her good at comforting them, though, as mila usually tends to think up solutions and provide them even when the person may not be looking for one. she thinks there's no point in crying about something if a person isn't willing to fix it. [break][break] [ STRAIGHTFORWARD ] - although mila tries her best to be sympathetic, sometimes she is just unable to stop herself from being upfront about how useless she thinks a problem is. mila doesn't see the point in beating around the bush, preferring to cut the bullcrap and get straight down to business. this is why in diplomatic matters, mila often tries not to say anything unless she is asked - better say nothing than say something offensive, or something like that. this also makes her a bit of a hard combat trainer, as she will never lie about someone's weaknesses. [break][break] [ CHAMPION OF THE UNDERDOG ] - a combination of the above makes mila a champion of the underdog. she hates bullies and people preying on the weak. mila will not hesitate to throw a punch or tell someone exactly what she thinks of them when they are picking on someone, particularly when the victim is younger or weaker. this also makes her a bit of an animal rights activist as she views animals as being unable to fight back against humans (most of the time).
[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
[ FATHER ] - poseidon, earthshaker, stormbringer, god of the sea, father of horses[break] [ MOTHER ] - anastasia kasimova ivanovna, mortal[break] [ SIBLINGS ] - n/a [break][break] CLAIMED: Yes[break] YEARS AT CAMP: Eleven years as a year-round camper [break][break] amnesia.[break] truthfully, it broke anastasia's heart when poseidon left her. she had had a steady boyfriend before meeting the god of the seas during a photography trip in long island. although she had already been feeling more distant to her boyfriend when she'd met poseidon, the god was still the main reason anastasia ended things with her mortal boyfriend. she and poseidon had six months of romantic bliss, with anastasia extending her stay past the photography trip just to continue to enjoy spending time with the man she deemed the love of her life. she would have happily given up everything if it meant she could be with him forever; but it was with sadness in his ocean eyes that he left her one afternoon, and anastasia knew she could never love again. the god of the seas had taken her heart with him to the ocean depths, and she would never be able to get it back. [break][break] catch fire.[break] perhaps knowing how much his leaving had affected anastasia, poseidon never visited mila personally. however, mila did remember fish swimming along her ankles in the beach when she was a toddler, and dolphins skipping in the horizon when she was a bit older. she remembered being horse-crazy like any other girl when she'd been a kid, and being thrilled when her mother allowed her to go to horse-riding classes. she'd thought everyone else could hear the horses talking around them, until her mother gently pulled her aside and to keep it her little secret. mila always had sugar cubes ready for the horses after that, whispering to them that they should keep it a secret, too. she always tried her best when she went into kindergarten, always being polite and respectful but standing up for herself when other kids called her a teacher's pet and a simp. even from that young of an age, mila ivanovna took no sh*ts. [break][break] ghost of you.[break] anastasia never remarried, nor ever entertained any other romantic relationships. mila became her sole focus, aside from her photography business that she did mostly from home. anastasia never left suffolk county, which is where she and poseidon met, perhaps always hoping that he would come back for her, at least for a visit. she kept every memento of their time together: photographs, ticket stubs, shells, random knick-knacks. the haunting sadness never really left her mother's eyes, but mila always tried her best to cheer her up. sometimes there was just no fixing a broken heart. [break][break] red desert.[break] mila didn't remember a lot of her elementary years. there were maybe a few odd instances involving strange teachers and shadowy figures, enough that poseidon heard anastasia's plea for help with their daughter. he sent a pegasus to collect her from their house one afternoon, and it brought her all the way to camp half-blood with minimal incident. the pegasus refused to leave her by herself, following poseidon's order of never letting her out of his sight, and so mila found herself being half-raised by a pegasus at camp. she named him oreius after the character in the narnia movie, not even knowing the true origin of the name until a few years later. the pegasus was quite miffed when mila came to him with her findings, but by then it had been too late - the name stuck, just like the winged horse did to his demigod charge. [break][break] best years.[break] despite her parentage, mila's life at camp was quite uneventful, or at least as uneventful as it could be for a child of the big three. she was claimed almost instantaneously, as though arriving on the back of a pegasus wasn't sign enough of her parentage. she excelled in the usual demigod things, her young age making her a good student, easily picking up combat, strategy, and ancient greek. it also became quite clear from a young age that mila was born to be a leader - not because she was bossy, but because she was always ready to volunteer her time and energy for her fellow campers and for the betterment of the camp. she went on a couple of quests during her time as a camper, and a couple more as leader of her cabin. it was practically the most natural assumption that mila would become cabin leader at fifteen when the previous cabin leader left camp, and she has continued to serve camp half-blood for all these years. visits to her mother became less frequent as she grew older, but mila always made sure to keep in contact with her in some way - she could only imagine the crushing loneliness her mother must be going through without both loves of her life. [break][break] teeth.[break] now that their camp - and her only home for the last eleven years - has been burned to the ground, mila is trying her best to remain a pillar for the greeks, especially for the younger ones and those who had not yet displayed any powers. if it meant she had to grit her teeth and fight a roman bully, then heck, she would do it.
[ HYDROKINESIS ][break] mila's primary power is hydrokinesis. she has good control over both sea and fresh water, although sea water is arguably easier to manipulate. this may be because she grew up near the beach and has therefore had plenty of access to sea water in her childhood. she can move it or shape it, the more unnatural, the more she has to concentrate to do it. she is also able to manipulate natural disasters, although the wider the radius or the stronger the force of the water, the more energy she expends. mila's favourite thing to do that she does absentmindedly is to make small unusual wave shapes as she sits in the water on the beach. [break][break]weakness: things like huge unnatural whirlpools or tsunamis would likely wipe her out for days. she is also incapable of manipulating rain. she did used to have immunity from being affected by the rain, but she had long since made the conscious decision to let it affect her, a sort of reflex defense mechanism to avoid standing out in the mortal crowd. after all, people were bound to notice if her clothes and hair never got wet when it rained. water also tends to react in a volatile way when she is emotionally affected, but mila cannot make water appear out of nothing. [break][break] [ GEOKINESIS ][break] it's not so much moving the earth exactly as it is moving the water underneath the ground. the deeper and further the water is, the harder she has to pull on her powers and the more power she exerts. she is, however, quite capable of moving it in force, even pulling it to the surface as though she was practically jarring the water out of the ground, which is what causes the earth to shake. if mila finds herself trapped or tied or otherwise incapacitated, for some reason it is usually the water under the ground that latches on to her energy first. usually, it has to be a somewhat deliberate thought to manipulate other above-ground water sources in comparison, as though the water under the ground is more in her veins. [break][break]weakness: as this is a more difficult power, this depletes her energy more than above-ground water manipulation. it is also more of her last resort especially when she is already weak. it is a forceful power, more likely to cause destruction than her usual above-ground water powers. this power also makes her capable of exploding volcanoes if she were so curious to try it, but she has not yet as she feels it would undoubtedly land her in a coma. as with her hydrokinesis, her geokinesis is also affected when she is emotional, particularly more so because it feels more visceral and is more likely to be triggered when she is in a rage or in too much pain. [break][break] [ MINOR POSEIDON CHARACTERISTICS ][break] ( limited zoolingualism ) - as poseidon is also a god of horses, mila can have good conversations with horses and pegasi, but less so with other equines such as donkeys and zebras. she also has the ability to communicate with any manner of water mammal, and can probably understand the general intent of minor water creatures - she tends not to pay attention to these due to the sheer number of animals in poseidon's domain. it is due to this ability that mila has never been able to eat meat. [break][break] ( watersportswoman ) - being a demigod as well as a child of the sea god has made mila a particularly good sportswoman in the water. she has never played against mortals as she has been living in camp half-blood since she was nine, but mila would surely have stood out for her skill. it only helps that she also enjoys watersports, so she enjoys what she's good at it. it's just a pity that not a lot of people play against her. she is somewhat good at ground sports. [break][break] ( minor vitakinesis ) - due to her affinity with the water, mila can heal her own minor injuries just by standing or swimming in it. the more her injury is submerged, the better and faster it heals, but she could also heal minor scrapes and cuts just by touching water. sea water affects her better, but usually any kind of water (except rain) can help her. she is unable to heal others with this ability, and water only has a very minor effect on deep / life threatening / magical injuries. [break][break] ( water immunity ) - water doesn't really affect her negatively - ie, she can't drown or be pulled by a riptide, and she is usually dry when she steps out of the water on a beach. in some ways, she can extend this ability to others, like to prevent others from drowning, however she would usually need to be touching them. [break][break] ( wayfinder ) - mila usually knows exactly where she is when she is on water, and prefers to remember maps and locations by their distance from bodies of water. she can always tell which way the current is going without even needing to judge the water, can tell when it's high or low tide without even thinking about it, and always knows her nautical location and directions when she's at sea. [break][break] ( allies ) - in pretty much any body of water, mila would find it easy to call for allies, whether they be water animals or members of poseidon's court. mila also enjoys making friends with residents of whichever bodies of water she lives near or on, because she feels it's just a show of respect to them.
